SwordOfTheDarkOnes
Quick

From his vantage point it was easier to get a look at the building that the rebels were holed up in. While the back was guarded by the waterway, and the front was likely heavily guarded with traps, one side seemed to have a door that was just wide open. No one seen around it, just...a door.

With Quick's speed it was likely he could get past the door and get inside, should he choose to do so.

While normally the electricity would have had little to no effect on him, surrounded by copper... Suddenly Magnet found himself spinning uncontrollably. What the HELL was going on?!?! He struggled to propel himself one way or another but the magnetic field coming from the pipes to either side was throwing him off. Crap. He was going to be sick. How the hell did Top Man stand this s**t?

Magnet man continued to spin, unable to stop or help himself out. If he was lucky, maybe someone would stumble across and help him out.

Top

Unfortunately for Top, when he would round a corner there would be something laying all over one of the roads. It was just around the corner, so it wouldn't be likely unless he had the quickest of reflexes would he be able to avoid it.

Tire spikes were tossed all over the road like a game of Jacks, minus the ball. It was clear what they were there for.

The good news would be that even if Tops tires were put out of commission, he could at least still walk.

Once Crash managed to help Bubble out of that first trap, he looks at the other Master. "Thanks, Crash." He frowns, looking at the mess again.

Crash squinted at the thing all over the floor and took a breath. How he managed to get here? Well, he was a very skilled robot when he bothered to pay attention. "Let's go around." With that, he grabbed hold of Bubble's arm and tugged him along for a minute before running off ahead down a different corridor. "Come on, Bubble!"

Rock

Just as Rock jumped forward, another rounded the corner. Though this wasn't a rebel...no, this was an 8 foot tall robotic dragon.

Really, he just wasn't the stealthy sort.

Magma Dragoon gave a snort as some insignificant thing collided into his leg. He fully expected it to be some rebel scum he could obliterate, but when he glanced down it was someone else entirely. ....Hrm.

"Aren't you a bit -small- to be a threat?"
Oh, Dragoon was an a*****e. He wore a rather condescending smirk and gave a short laugh. However crushing the blue one wasn't his goal here. Actually, neither was rescuing Proto. He was just here to bash in some rebels for the fun of it.

Mystery Saboteur? xD

The bad news was, walking stunk.

While Top certainly thought his reflexes were just fine ******** you very much, they were not in fact good enough to save him from the spike field. The multitudes of nasty metal bits now jammed into his wheels succeeded very nicely in sending him sprawling to the pavement, several more of them leaving ugly but superficial scratches across his armor, and a few sticking themselves into his unprotected face and tail.

Good thing these things didn’t offline a bot in one shot or something stupid like that.

It didn’t take him any time at all to recover from the tumble, glancing around quickly for a culprit, and at the same time scrambling to rip away the ruined tires and spikes alike- the spikes would be in the way if he tried to withdraw the wheels and walk, and if he could get rid of the rubber scraps too then he could still go into a spin if he really needed to, though grinding right against the ground would be hell on the rims.

He was getting these replaced the minute this was over regardless. Solid wheels were clearly the way of the future.

Ah. Around. What a good idea!

Unfortunately your corridor of choice was very quickly filling with smoke. It made it extremely hard to see.

The way behind was clear, though it simply led back to the main road, and it's slippery soap path.

The way ahead was completely clouded, and though it'd eventually lead into the building the likelihood some further trap was set was extremely high.

Back just wasn't an option for Crash. He hated going back. With an annoyed growl, he headed into the smokey hallway, not able to see a hand in front of his face, but you know what? Somehow Crash felt he was getting closer to Proto. If that was true or not he didn't know, but still! Changing one hand to a drill, he forged ahead. Damn it, where was Airman when you needed him?

Bubble allows Crash to tug him along for a short distance, then hops after the other. He scowls as the corridor gets filled with smoke, glancing behind them for a moment before shaking his head. No, he wasn't going to go backwards if he could help it. That would take even more time. He eyes the smoke filled corridor ahead in thought. He thinks for a moment, then shrugs and hops a couple steps forward, then shoots a bunch of bubbles to the sides, ahead, and above him, just in case.

Naien Haigara
Top

From the tops of a nearby building, someone was watching.

Her tail swished lazily back and forth behind her as she looked down, finding herself grinning toothily at the scene below. She had yet to reveal herself, to anyone other than her fellow supporters that is. For what felt like an eternity she watched, waited, learned. Gathering whatever useful intel for their cause like the mole she was.

"Nasty little fall you took there." Maybe she just felt like mocking them, or maybe she just wanted to announce her presence. She had been undercover for what felt like too long, so when her Hero called... she answered. He would be the hero of all, removing the plague that had taken over the city.

As fast as she was there, Aldeen was now done. Top would soon find something aimed right at him, a large object that looked rather like a firework spiraling in his direction.

Surprise surprise...

The odds WERE in your favor, and there was apparently no further trap in this corridor. Maybe something failed to go off? Perhaps they thought the smoke would drive you away?

Who knows.

Either way, the corridor gave way and the two found themselves inside.

The building itself was vastly...empty. The only things around were a few crates, some random equipment, and two sets of staircases leading to the upper level.

Snarling could be heard from up there. A metallic snarling even.

Crash didn't trust it for one second.

He'd cleared the smoke to find nothing. Squinting again, he looked around the area, eyed the crates and then looked back to Bubble. "..Hey, send a few bubbles to the crates. Bots or Flashover's followers could be hiding there," he murmured low, trying not to be to loud.

The snarling caught Crash's attention. "Proto?" He didn't scream it like he wanted too. Something about this place made his synthetic skin crawl.

"....I don't trust it."

Bubble looks around as he and Crash end up inside the building. He nods, hearing Crash's suggestion and shooting a number of bubbles in the direction of the crates and the equipment. Hearing the snarling, he glares towards the staircases, then whispers to Crash, "You want to take one staircase and I take the other? Just in case one of them isn't booby trapped?" His skin also felt like it was crawling. He didn't like this place one bit.

The metallic snarling seemed to be getting a bit louder? Maybe even desperate? But that's all it was, snarling, because Proto's muzzle was still taped shut and he couldn't alert them to what he knew was lurking in the building.

A thing which was making it's presence known right now.

The area quickly lit up as multiple balls of pure electricity fired in -all- directions. A few even found their way over towards Crash and Bubble.

What caused them? Why...Spark, of course. The bot walked out from behind one of the larger sets of crates, the two electrodes he had for hands humming with electricity. Eyes were narrowed in the direction of the other bots, and he emitted his own snarl.

He wasn't here to help them. He was definitely here to stop them.
