Dis was cackling. They really were related. He could tell. Indeed, blood was bound to them both. Marcus however, saw it less and less. More, he saw a cocky trainee who had no idea just what he was up against. "Glad to be of some entertainment." Marcus wasn't entirely wrong about the whole "cocky trainee" idea he was currently entertaining; but Alistaire was less cocky and more just determined to do what he could to get him where he wanted to be. His intelligence and skills were not bragged about, merely stated as though they were a factual thing, something that was a simple, everyday idea.
He knew what he wanted, and he knew what he could use to get it.
Alistaire twisted to the side, and then shifted his feet, trying to get the proper balance. He let out a little hum at the back of his throat, Marcus' question making the corners of his lips twitch upwards in a smile, almost as though he were amused by it.
"Everything," he said, which was a deliberate and complete non-answer.

He didn't like the fact the man was smiling. It reminded him too much of the way Dis looked, the way he could look when he thought he could get what he wanted. That was why he was leery of Alistaire really. The man reminded him too much of himself. Hit again, Marcus rolled his shoulder back, swinging upward. "How will you get that then? How will you get what you want?" HP: 32 DMG: 9

He was still curious about Marcus Hasan. There were a great many little details to his personality that were interesting; little facets here and there that reminded him of someone else, but for the most part, he was an enigma, something to be studied for further examination.
Alistaire was still smiling.
"I'll figure out a way," he said - yet another noncommittal answer - and threw the dagger again, a quick nick across his shoulder.

The nick didn't phase him. Rather he just stared down at his cousin. "Your FEAR sheild is nearly gone yet you keep engaging. If you really want to get everything..." He held out his arm. "I'd say bow out when you can." HP: 29 DMG:--

A cold, humorless laugh escaped Alistaire's throat, brief and quiet. "I suppose you're right," he said lightly, and desummoned his weapon, the silver chains and the black daggers disappearing in a faint gust of white light. The weapon reappeared a moment later, in the form of two silver chain-link bracelets, one on either wrist. Alistaire rubbed absently at his hands and then gave Marcus a studious expression.
"You've been quite informative today, I thank you, Mr. Hasan."
