Oh, she ... hadn't seen their clones?
Serafina frowned a bit, not that Ruth was able to tell, and shifted herself a bit. Very well. She would have to tell Ruth what happened because she was certain that it would even disturb Ruth, who could seem relatively unperturbed by a lot of things.
There was a moment where she took a napkin and considered it, pulling out one of her haunted pens, but she decided to put it down instead and go with description. "There was one time, where me and a bunch of others stumbled upon this ... room. Very large, seemed to go on as far as the eye could see. As we walked around, we saw these tall tubes," she motioned, trying to give a visual with her hands, "filled with something. We soon realized that was someone."
Serafina shivered.
"Each one had a different person in it, and there was one set... each person had one set that matched up to them directly. It was labeled with our name and all. Whole sets, clones of us."
After a moment, she added, "Alice didn't appreciate us being here and started killing us to get us out..."Huni Pi It's okay, I'm a bit out of commission myself!

Ruth's mouth hung open in a shocked O, one hand pressed against her chest, the other reaching forward for Serafina's. She meant to give the other ghoul a firm, comforting squeeze, provided the other ghoul didn't pull her hand away immediately. But despite the aghast dismay the blonde was trying to project with her posture, she was actually excited and eager to discover this.
ALICE was so fascinating and incredible and a multitude of other things that Ruth aimed to be. She had to know more! Her sketchpad was opened to a not-completely filled page and she started to write in a neat, almost type-faced handwriting, How did she accomplish this?

Serafina winced at the memory.
Being the first of the creeple that ALICE had taken out, Serafina's memory was not exactly full of ways she did this. However, she was able to offer at least one thing, a grim sort of expression on her face as she noted, "She turned into this ... dream omniscient creature, dark -- she just started grabbing and ... stabbing through with tendrils."
She rubbed her neck.
"I'd have more detail if she didn't go for me first."

ALICE was becoming more and more fascinating to Ruth, but she had to keep her enthusiasm for the subject in check. Not that she didn't think she could manage to feign scholarly interest but because it seemed Serafina didn't have anything else for her to go on.
That sounds awful, I do hope you have recovered since then. She tried to sound comforting, but tone was so difficult to convey through the written medium. Luckily she could match it with a concerned smile followed by a shake of her head, This sounds to be an uncomfortable subject for you. I apologize if I've upset you. Would you prefer we discuss something else?
Ruth was really disliking the Shrinking Violet's need to smooth things over. She rather liked seeing other creeple in distress.

While Ruth's reaction was quite possibly unusually nice for the ghoul's normal behavior--at least from what Serafina had known--she was all too eager to get off that subject.
ALICE was still unnerving and frightening, after all, no matter the reason why the weird army of clones they all had were created.
"Yes, I would love to talk about something else," said with some sense of relief, "Did you wish to talk about something?"
Hopefully nothing else about that Wonderland... Mess...
