A combination of both John's yell and the boot stomps from the ring were more than enough to alert the Lion. Cyrus quickly planted a knee and pushed off it, looking to dive forward and roll out of the ring.

Oh...crap..., thought Caliber as he hung in midair, seeing his target/crash pad no longer in place.
THUD!
Ouch...
J. W. might have had the good sense to exhale on the way down to prevent getting the wind knocked out of him by the crash landing, but the impact with the barely padded pine mat still royally sucked. The cowboy rolled onto his side immediately, holding his ribs.

After rolling out of the ring, Cyrus glanced back at Caliber. The Lion suddenly placed a hand to his lower back and stumbled back towards the barricade. He hunched forward and began playing it up. "Ahh, my back! That ******** cowboy jacked up my back!"

It took a couple moments for Caliber to regain his composure after his missed moonsault, but he soon rolled out of the ring. While J. W.'s ribcage was still kinda tender, there wasn't any major damage as far as he could tell.
Now that both men were no longer in the relative safety of the squared circle, the fans were really in for a treat. The roughhouse redneck was bound and determined to introduce Cyrus to a little South Texas Strong Style! Making his way toward where Everblaze was hunched over against the barricade, the South Texas Stallion would attempt to light his opponent up with a couple of hard knife-edge chops.
