He didn't get a chance to respond before the senshi dropped and started to walk away. He watched her, wide-eyed, as she got further and further away. It was clear, or clearer, to him then that she still took his words as him blaming her and in a way, she was right. He was internalizing his blame; his confusion, his weak resolve, his uncertainty was all his fault. Were he a stronger man he wouldn't doubt himself at all.
Labyrinthite had never thought himself weak, but he was. No, not weak but vulnerable and that feeling was completely and utterly foreign to him.
He dropped from the lamppost and darted after Iris before halting in his tracks. There were things he wanted to say, but they were repeatitive. If he wanted to talk, then he would need to sort himself out first. So he let her walk away.
