Finn was someone Laney thought of as a friend, and she didn't have many of those. He laughed at her jokes, he cared when he thought she might be sad. She'd been unsure of herself, and he'd loaned her a little of his confidence. The thought of him in trouble was kind of distressing.
"Thanks," she said, a little preoccupied with worry. "I'm sure he'll be okay, but I'll get in touch and just . . . make sure." Finn had a lot of friends, and they all lived with him, right? People who'd been around the senshi block a few times and knew what they were doing so well that they taught classes on it. She was sure he was in good hands.
Or she would be sure, at least, once she checked. It couldn't hurt to be double-sure, right?
To Titan, Hvergelmir smiled and raised a hand in farewell. "Hey, you be safe, okay?" she wished him well. "Maybe I'll see you soon."
She found she didn't mind the possibility of that at all. He'd been so nice -- and any friend of Babylon's was a friend of hers. Next time, maybe I'll offer to take him to see the Well, she decided. I put all that effort into dusting the place up -- it deserves to be seen by someone who might be able to appreciate it more than I can. And, I mean, the Rift can't be much of a vacation spot. I want to see what he thinks of a true Wonder, where Chaos hasn't taken hold.
It was something to look forward to.
