AKA The Silent Shadow . . .

Closing her eyes, Kage listened to the buzz of voices over the ComLink. She registered Pierson saying something about being careful, a potential shooter...When Kage opened her eyes again, the world looked more like shades of grey. Carefully, she put her back to one of the support poles for the tent, and gazed around at her team members. Blink was by the edge of the roof, and The Damn Doctor was still looking over Target 1's corpse. "...did you manage to get anything out of the Target, or were we too late?" Kage took a deep breath, and debated. She could create a private channel for just her CO, but her team mates would wonder what was going on. There was already unease over the unknown identity of the shooter. Not to mention Kage's unwillingness to lie to her team, and the overwhelming exhaustion weighing on her wouldn't allow her to use her gift. "I managed to ask him where he got the weapons, and who his supplier was.He didn't answer the first question, but for the second, I got a name." She paused, steeling her resolve.

"Pearce."

Mission accomplished.
Kage thought wearily as her legs went out from under her. Her body slid down the tent pole, depositing her onto the ground while she passed out, letting the darkness finally overwhelm her.

Katherine Pierson
PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding Officer

The blood in Pierson's veins went cold and her expression darkened, unbeknownst to anyone but her, that name they got meant a lot. She should have gone for the headshot rather than going for the safer center mass. Slamming her fist into the wall of the van she muted her microphone and swore to herself, her eyes changing from their normal icy blue to blood red and purple, her anger getting the better of her for the first time in a while. "Now they know who was supplying them with weapons. That investigation will definitely lead to Pearce's doorstep at some point, despite how much I covered my tracks. I need to get in front of this." She sighed and clenched her aching fist as her appearance returned to normal.

Unmuting the microphone Pierson spoke to everyone in her teams, in as steady a voice as she could manage,
"Alright, it isn't much but I think we can work with that. The mission isn't entirely FUBAR. Everyone report back to my location, we'll head back to base for a debrief and look into this "Pearce." Stein, Doc, make sure everyone checks out okay, and Thief, I want to talk to you about breaking protocol on our way back. Mission's over, time to pack up guys." Pierson sighed and rested back in her chair. With any luck, their team would be the one assigned to try and find Pearce, that way the investigation could lead, wherever she wanted it to. Given enough time, Pierson could liquidate Pearce's identity and surface later under a new identity, though she really liked Pearce, she had quite the house and a lot of money to her name. Though with offshore accounts, with just an ID number she could recoup the assets she put in there. She sat in the comm van, waiting for her teams to leave the hotel and come back to her position as the cleanup crews arrived, ready to bag and tag the bodies, and bring the living ones for interrogation.

Special Agent Elijah Viers
Dr. Stein, The Mad Scientist

"By The Pricking Of My Thumb...."

Another cloud of smoke escaped the throat of Stein as he waited on his response from Shrink though to no avail the woman wouldn't even bother with a no which he didn't to much care for, that only made her to blame if he went off and taken one of the goonies to his lab when he would be experimented on, though he didn't hold much interest in doing so seeing as they were normal humans, and he has dissected enough of them. When Kage's voice rang through, informing him of the situation, the Frankenstein of a man stood pacing in the alley out of boredom, nothing but him and a dead cat with a scalpel protruding from its skull. A smirk appeared on his features as it would turn out that his boredom would be killed, his prayer for action being answered as he stood across from the door the brute was to crash out of, hands in his coats pocket while he looked to the man, raising one hand from his pocket to push up his glasses, the lighting making them seemingly glow. "You had a better chance at surviving if you stayed above..." He stated without a hint of emotion behind his voice. "I'd advise you to turn yourself over quietly or experience pain you never thought possible." He advised the man, even if only to say he did when he was hoping the man chose the later.

"Hah! Like some clown in a cosplay get up would instill fear in me!" Responded target #4 and just as the man was to charge towards the doctor, a wicked grin appeared upon his lips, almost literately from ear to ear. "I was hoping you chose door number two!" Dr. Stein called out to his attacked, both hands rising from his pockets, four scalpels in each hand. Throwing the scalpels forward as he was to dash to his left, eight out of eight projectiles hit their mark, two to either leg, four to the torso, and two to his shoulders. While cutting deep, the scalpels only managed to slow target #4 down a bit, having underestimating the muscle mass of the man. The man managing to blindside the doc, and charge in closer than he originally would have liked though now target #4 has made his job easier actually. As the man would swing wildly at Dr. Stein, the mad scientist would shift his weight and pivot his footing as to turn around, simultaneously throwing another scalpel retrieved from inside his lab coat at target #4's foot, forcing him to stumble. Dr Stein would then use the mans momentum and power against him, grabbing the arm that appeared just over his left shoulder, injuring it in the process of hoisting the man over him and rather than throwing the man as one would think, target #4 would seem to float in slow motion before the doc, who then took a lower stance and with a step forward, launching his arm forward like a Lance/Spear, striking the man with a partially made fist, an type of electrical surge present as the man was sent flying into the wall, where he stayed suspended above the ground in an upside down fashion.

Upon closer inspection of target #4, one would notice the emerald energy outlining the mans body while also tying into the wall itself, this was a specially crafted technique by Dr Stein himself.
"What the hell is this! Why Can't I move?!" Target #4 called out in panic, seeing the doctor stand from his low stance, hi head tilted a bit as he spun the bolt that was lodged in his head. "You can stop struggling, you don't have the strength required to break free of my Sutures." He replied in an nonchalant fashion. "And now, as promised, hear comes the pain!" he added shortly after, the mad scientist showing his true colors with an maddening grin, flapping open his lab coat to not only show his many scalpels lining the inside of his coat, but the finely crafted scissors holstered on either side of his legs. "I could test how long you could hold out against my scalpels but that might take more time than I have, and I would hate to not keep my promises." He replied before dashing forward, drawing the dagger sized scissors in each hand before the large brute that was Target #4 screams echoed throughout the alleys.

When Blink had spoke through his comm is when Dr. Stein ended his torture, his concentration broken as he sheathed his weapons, and brought his hand to his comm link. "Well if it isn't one of my favorite blood hounds? Have you finally decided to become one of my subject?" He would tease, his concentration broken, allowing the bloody and torn target #4 free and hobble away. "Well everything is fine. Though me and target #4 were just playing a game that has now clearly ended. " He added shortly after, looking at the goon hobble towards his comrades, the man had multiple cuts, stabs, and gashes, Dr Stein being careful not to hit any veins, organs, or arteries, keeping the man alive with the bare minimum of blood which would eventually kill him if not treated. "What about your end, I heard a gunshot..." He paused, hearing the chatter over the comm from the group. "Did that Damn Doctor steal another patient from me?" He questioned before straightening out his coat, and advancing towards the van they had arrived in where he was sure to eventually meet up with the other. "Will do Captain Shrink!" He responded in a rather sarcastic manner, reaching the van before the others, waiting to do as asked and gladly check the others over.

A moment using his gift on the body confirmed the gun shot that killed the man, the bullet was lodged in the mans shoulder blade which would explain the missing exit wound. "Kage... this bullet would have killed you too... Pierson, this was an armor piercing round we should send someone to search the local- Kage!" cut off from his evaluation he quickly jumped to grab Kage before she fell and hurt herself. He sighed in relief as he found her passing out from exhaustion. " she is alright" He responded, finding no other bullet wounds or irregularities in her system that would make her faint other than her own over exertion. "Kage is out for the count today Pierson, what will we do with the body?" he looks up as he gives Blink a nod "you mind carrying Kage?" He wanted to see what else he might get from the body, he wouldn't get much here how ever, but it would eventually get back to the morgue.

She was in a slight huff as the doctor bolted to the roof "he didn't even look" she grumbled as she sat down on the targets back and rested her mask on her hand now upset she was left all on her own. She couldn't do very much now, She simply listened as the Target #1 was confirmed dead even though they needed him alive, And Stein chittered gleefully about working on another victim. He did unsettle her a little, certainly made her think twice about the doctors at the facility that raised her, Very few were scary psychotic as he was. At least the Damn Doctor was alright as surgeons went.
The man started to wiggle underneath her and she hit him in the back of the neck to quiet him again. Stein had target #4, she wasn't sure which target she had but this one had to be one of them she thought. "Theif, I want to talk to you about breaking protocol on our way back" she gave a groan as Pierson chided her over the com, "i didnt break protocol! i stayed by his side, he was the one who ran off without me!" She stood and left her charge where he was and walked to the nearest window, hooking a climbing gear line to the fire escape before she fell out the window to fall to the street level, increasing the tension in the line as she gets closer to the bottom to slow her decend till she reached the sidewalk and pressed a button on her gear to detach the line, trotting back to the van as she was told.

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK"

Blink listened in on his ComLink, momentarily unaware of Kage's current state. He pondered in his thoughts. He could sense the clean up crew approaching. Equipped with various cleaning supplies, latex gloves, and protective body bags. Blink prayed they'd only need one. Dr. Stein radioed in on the ComLink, just as sinister as always,"I'll get back to you on that offer, Doc" said Blink as he played along. He walked away from the ledge slowly returning to the tent."Target one is dead. I hope you didn't assign Target 4 a body bag as well.."

Shortly after, Pierson radioed in, requesting all operatives to report. Matthias held the ComLink closely to his left ear as he listened.
"Mhmm.. Got it... Kage, Doc, and I should be headed back so-" Before Blink could finish, he discovered Kage, lying unconscious on the rooftop. The Damn Doc lifted her from the roof floor."Kage isn't looking too well on our end, Chief.." said Blink, responding to Pierson's orders. Leave it to the Damn Doc to make sure everything was ok. He nodded toward him, taking hold of Kage and holding her against his chest in a cradling manner. "Come on champ.." whispered Blink, as he walked from under the tent. They needed to get back to the van. Pierson's orders."Do your thing Doc..."He leaped from the rooftop landing softly on a balcony extending from the third floor. The van was down below, a couple blocks up the road. Upon reaching the van he could hear Pierson and Thief engaging in a fuss. He dismissed the two, sitting Kage upright in the back of the van, its rear doors remaining open. Blink peered through the back toward Pierson."Im here... What's new?"

The support agents that had been in place, ready to burst in through the windows, had detained the felled robbers in the living room. Aali sat on the couch, chewing on the cork of the wine bottle. Even drunken strength could not budge it, and it frustrated him to no end. The seer seized the fight with the drink, and pondered on it. He imagined the object he could feel between his hands; made of ice, see through and full of a dark colour. Red, he decided. Just like the bathroom. Yet, he understood their enemies were all in the living room and one had run out the door. Aali made sure to question a passing agent, but they said the bathroom was empty, with the door wide open, and clean. The vision had been so obvious a man dead and so much blood spilled, but what did it really mean...?

Aali was ushered up and away suddenly, as he had been ignoring all communications and was now told to get back. Now and again he did need a bit of a nudge. With the amount of alcohol he had consumed, he immediately stumbled and had to be helped to his feet. Eventually he managed out of the hotel and out to the street, and there were many less things to fall over which made it much easier. "Blood, blood, blood," Aali called out and from how his sound traveled, did his best to estimate which way the street went.

By the time he realized he may have gone down the wrong way and was now lost, he could see a vehicle go straight down the road past him. It was their van, he knew, because it stopped. Aali watched as a clone of himself, with a huge beard, climbed into the van. Just a vision. The van did not look nearly as cool as he liked to imagine, with flame decal on the sides and a jet engine on the roof. PSI RAWKS written on the windshield. Once he had tried to recommend similar changes to all of the agency's vehicles, but the garage staff had been too busy to listen.

Aali touched the communicator at his ear, and cleared his throat. "Pick me up on the way, just drive here, thank you," Agent Vision announced. He forgot that they may have required certain direction, not that he could give them any. His mind became distracted with future events of the street he sat on, to the point where he started apologizing to shadows of people-to-be who would have bumped into him.

Zack Hoyt -- The Revealer

What the hell was he even doing in a place like this? Zack had to keep reminding himself of why he was here at the PCI Headquarters. He didn’t do anything wrong. It had been a rather good day up until his band practice was rudely interrupted by these government wackos in suits. They’d interrupted a perfectly good weekend rehearsal, and now he was being held hostage and forced to watch these PCI people run around, trying to arrest some criminals. They were obviously not doing a very good job. It looked like their main target got taken out with a gunshot before they could get anything out of him.

’Tell me again why I’m even watching this? It has nothing to do with me.’ Rolling his eyes, Zack removed the headphones he’d been forced to wear so he wouldn’t have to listen to the inane conversation between the agents and their boss. Even though he'd removed the headphones, he would still be able to hear the faint conversation from the small speakers attached to the monitor. God, that woman… what was her name again? Pierson? She seemed like such a hard-a**, someone who would pull rank on any of the others just to get whatever the hell she wanted. Exactly the kind of person Zack hated.

Even though he could see why the PCI would want him to join given what his abilities were, Zack didn’t care if they wanted him to join their little club here. Hunting criminals was no business of his anyway. The young musician got to his feet from the chair he’d been seated in for the last few hours and shoved his hands into his pockets. He looked over at his guitar case which was leaning up against the wall nearby. How much longer was he going to be stuck in this place? Did he have to wait here for that Pierson woman to come back? Perhaps he could just leave right now. That would make everything easier really. Who knew when those stupid PCI groupies would be back after all.

AKA The Silent Shadow . . .

Charlie opened her eyes, and immediately regretted it. The room was the bright, blinding white only hospitals and insane asylums seemed to prefer. Blinking against the assault on her retinas - this is SO why I prefer the dark she thought grumpily - Charlie sat up and removed the annoying IV in the crook of her elbow. She reached over and shut off the drip so the saline solution they'd been filling her with didn't leak all over the floor.

She sat up, then prowled around the room, taking stock of her surroundings and running a mental checklist of her physical well being. Despite a slight pounding headache, a queasy stomach and burning retinas from all this white, she was fine. The government strength secured wifi signal was strong, and Charlie knew the firewalls and other various security measures well. Her glasses were sitting on a small bedside table near by. She put them on and accessed the network, sending a message to The Damn Doc:

I'M AWAKE. PLEASE COME SPRING ME OUT. THE WHITE IS MURDERING MY RETINAS. WHO DOES SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO POOR, UNWELL HOSPITAL PATIENTS? HOSPITALS ARE CREEPY ENOUGH WITHOUT BEING BLINDED.

Hoping The Damn Doc arrived quickly, Charlie scanned the room again. She did NOT like parading around in a hospital gown. She spied one of her uniforms on a rack under the bed, and hurried to get dressed. Luckily, The Damn Doc knew how she felt about hospitals, and had the foresight to get someone to bring her a clean uniform to change into. Although she was pretty sure she was only supposed to get dressed AFTER The Doc cleared her. Oh well, she thought, and shimmied into her pants, so glad for the comfortable, curve fitting familiarity.

[[OOC: Okay guys, so I time skipped a bit. A couple hours, at most. If you had something in mind for your character between now and then, you can still post it, just take it up 'til this point. And I'm assuming PCI DID pick up Vision. lol]]

Katherine Pierson
PCI Psychiatrist and Commanding Officer

Taking a deep breath, Pierson stepped out of the storage closet and adjusted her hair and clothes, running her fingers through her blood red hair and making sure she looks presentable for her meeting with the new recruit. Rather, potential recruit. She wasn't sure if he was cut out for it, but he had the raw talent. If she could temper that personality, perhaps he could be a useful asset. Of course if she couldn't do that, he was dangerous. Dangerous enough to be put in detainment, pending a risk assessment. Turning around to face the person who exited the storage room after her, Syara. Clearing her throat she adjusted her hair one final time and smiled, "So now that you understand about what constitutes breaking protocol, we can talk a bit longer at home tonight alright?" Giving her a smile she turned and headed down the hall. She had already briefed the higher ups and secured the case to hunt for this "Pearce."

Heading through the halls of the PCI office, she headed to the room where Zack was in. "Sorry for making you wait, I am guessing you'd like to get the hell out of here?" She gave the unpleasant looking kid a smile and sat down across from him. "Give any more thought to my offer? Or would you like to continue playing music in dive bars for change? Do note that if you decide to accept my offer, it won't mean you have to stop what you're doing. You can continue playing music with your band." She watched the man, gauging his reactions. Her own polygrapher ability would make it difficult for him to use his own ability on her. they sort of cancelled each other out.

I'M AWAKE. PLEASE COME SPRING ME OUT. THE WHITE IS MURDERING MY RETINAS. WHO DOES SOMETHING LIKE THAT TO POOR, UNWELL HOSPITAL PATIENTS? HOSPITALS ARE CREEPY ENOUGH WITHOUT BEING BLINDED.

Alec was jerked back into reality as Kage's voice screamed for help in his mind. A steady ooze came form Target #4's intestines as gasses were released from the nick he had made due to the disruption and Alec gagged as he reached for a rag to cover his nose and mouth. the body was already decomposing, as they often did immediately after death and he was still trying to asses the target's health at the time of death, this was often needed for court cases and through investigations.
Damn it Kage put the glasses on, I left them there for a reason. I'll be there in a minute, Stop ******** shouting. It was annoying being interrupted when he was in the middle of his work. As his head cleared from the euphoria of complete focus he did notice the dissection was for the most part complete, the bullet fragments had been pulled from the body and with a few more notes he could sign off the body to be returned to the family. A shot through the heart was all they were dealing with here, there was no other evidence of foul play in his system, his gift would have caught on to it of course, but some times it was best to make sure. His father always had the opinion that things werent always what they seemed.
After a full scrub he pulled his doctors coat on again and made his way back up to the patient care level. Kage was never one to follow protocol when she felt pressured, and hospitals did tend to make people feel uneasy. They weren't designed to scare people, but they certainly didn't want to make people feel too comfortable. The desk nurse handed him her paperwork as he stepped from the elevator, already wary of how to treat his PCI patients.
"Alright Kage, ill sign you out but i do need to fill this out before you leave the building please, Temperature, Blood pressure, Heart rate, Breathing? Insurance is a b***h to deal with even with all the right paperwork. Id like to keep my good standing with these nurses, they can be very nice when they aren't dealing with your anxiety issues" He eyed her over the clipboard before setting it down and getting his stethoscope. The check up was over with quickly and he signed her off with a clean bill of health. "be thankful you don't have to deal with the bullshit im constantly wallowing in with all this paper work" he sighs as he leaves the room to add these papers to the many others piled in his office.

Syara was very quiet as she left the storage closet after Pierson, breathing heavily and bright red she simply nodded to her Commanding officer, red faced as she adjusts her pants slightly. "y-yes Katherine..." she swallows hoping no one saw them come from the closet as she slips quickly to the nearest bathrooms to wash her face.
It was a little tricky to do with the mask but she felt a little more relived once she whiped the water from her brow with a towel, her gloves placed on the counter next to her she took a moment to let the cool air wash over her hands, gloves were stuffy, but you got used to them when you wore them all the time. she felt a little naked even as she stood there with out the security. Slowly she washed her hands again, watching the delicate slender fingers flex and move, she felt at peace and free in the quiet of an empty bathroom.
The door opened suddenly to disrupt her calm as three other women walked in. Without drying her hands she slipped the gloves back on in a hurry, turning to head out as the women stop and stare at her taking a step back slightly as she moved quickly to get out of their way, her hair falling over part of her face as she avoided eye contact to skirt arround the edge of the room to bolt out the door behind them. the three woman crowded together as she quickly swept past and vanished out the door,
"was that?"
"y-yeah... you didn't touch her did you?"
"n- no... i... i think i can still see..."

Everyone at PCI seemed too know her and her ability. gossip spread fast, especially when it was something that scared people. It was the whole reason she wore the gloves. they knew that at any moment, one touch from her fingers and their lives would be over. Many loved their abilities, it was a gift a way to be different and an asset to their job. She understood this, she knew her friends would be useless without their abilities. it was what made them so valuable to the government. she did not understand why she had to be made into such a monster by these fears.

Zack Hoyt

It had been at least a couple more hours before the PCI team returned to their headquarters, and Zack still found himself stuck here for whatever reason because the guards at the front door wouldn't let him leave. Within the following span of waiting time, he’d tried to entertain himself by playing his guitar, texting his friends on his cell phone, looking for some sort soda or snack machine in this building, or working on some more song lyrics which he carried within his guitar case in a small notebook. Right now though, he was seated in yet another room, with a soda bottle placed on the table next to him. This time the room was without any of the PCI video equipment which made it feel like some sort interrogation room. If anything, it was really rude of this Pierson woman to keep him waiting so long. At one point he had considered just picking up his stuff and walking out the door.

When the lady finally came back to talk to him, she would find him seated and staring at the bottle of soda and considering taking another drink out of it. He watched her as she made her way over to the chair across from him and sat down. He knew his ability wasn’t working when he’d tried when they first met, probably because she was also a Polygrapher-type psychic. Zack, however, didn’t particularly care whether or not he could read this woman’s thoughts to see if she was lying to him. He’d gotten pretty good at just reading people’s body language and whatnot without using his powers so much. Something really hit him the wrong way about the woman seated across from him, he just couldn’t pinpoint exactly what it was. It was either the fact that she was some shady government lady with some ulterior motive, or she had some kind of superiority complex in his opinion.

”You’re damn right I’d like to get out here.” he replied flatly to her first question. His eyes narrowed a tiny bit when she talked about her offer. It felt like she was mocking him and his choice of profession to be a musician with her words. ”For your information, my friends and I happen to like playing our songs at all kinds of places, including ’dive bars’ because the pay is good, so don’t try patronizing me because its not going to work.” he answered, raising his hands and placing air quotation marks with his fingers around two of those words to emphasize that he wasn’t fond of how she was describing what he did for a living. Zack paused for a moment to let those words sink in to this woman’s apparently very thick skull as she didn't seem to get the fact that he had no intention of joining the PCI.

He continued soon afterward, ”Did you really think that letting me watch your pathetic attempt at an arrest would get me to join your club? Your stupid crusade and criminal catching spree has nothing to do with me. Besides, I’m not obligated to do anything you or your organization tell me to either." Just because the PCI thought that he was like the other psychics because they had these special powers didn’t mean that that method of negotiation would on him either. "You and your government lackeys can do what you want with your missions and whatnot, just leave me out of it.”

With that said, Zack pushed his chair back from the table and got to his feet. He picked up his guitar case and slung it over his left shoulder with his gloved left hand before picking up the bottle of soda. His gloved right hand wrapped around the neck of the plastic soda bottle. ”By the way, you and your so-called team are a bunch of idiots for screwing up a potentially very easy get-in-and-get-out mission.” They should have looked at the surrounding buildings to check if there were any hidden snipers or something else that could jeopardize the lives of their targets. He was honestly surprised that this woman was still allowed to keep her job if catching that guy alive was so important to the PCI.

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK"

Matthias made his way down the hall, toward his office nearby. He was scrolling through his phone, replying to text messages he received earlier that morning. In his opposite hand, he carried a cup of coffee, its smell so soothing and invigorating. His eyes caught Dr. Braely approaching the elevator. The guy was always busy... Probably headed down to check up on Charlie. Out of the women's restroom came Syara. She seemed rather....uncomfortable. Matthias greeted her as he continued on his stroll. "Hi there, Ms. Malris.." said the hound with a wave and smile. He couldn't put himself in her shoes, but he could imagine her day to day life, managing her powers and the hardships they bring. He came to a stop, slightly passing her, facing the opposite direction."You know Syara... Should you need anything, we're always here to help.

She didnt see blink there in the hall till he said something and she quickly rubbed her gloved hands against her eyes to hide her apparant emotions as he stopped behind her, she let the gloves soak up the building tears as she battled with the common bout of self pity she tried hard not to absorb herself in.
"You know Syara... Should you need anything, we're always here to help."
She was thankful her mask was covering her quivering smile as she struggled sightly to get herself under control. They were all her friends for a reason, each of them accepted that she was a risk.
"I'm... Good Blink, thank you..." It was all she could muster to reply, she Turned to him with her smile. although hidden her eyes still shined some so that most could read feelings. As far as she knew they understood this way. Everyone had their struggles, she didnt want to burden them with hers too. "do you think doc will let me see the dead body? Pierson said i couldn't bug vision for a fighting lesson till he was less drunk or got over his hangover" she pushed her struggles aside thankful for the comfort he offered reminding her that some people didn't care.

User ImageOPERATIVE: CHARLIE SMITH
CODENAME: KAGE

AKA The Silent Shadow . . .

"Maybe we should just move to Canada." Charlie grumbled under her breath as The Damn Doctor looked her over. She blew out a breath and held out a hand to stop Braely. "I'm sorry, Alec. It's just...hospitals give me the heebie geebies. I didn't mean to take it out on you. I shouldn't have yelled earlier either."

Charlie watched him go, hoping her apology was enough. The Damn Doctor did have a mountain of paperwork on his desk. Feeling guilty, Charlie promised herself she'd find a way to make it up to him later. Continuing through HQ, she stopped when she heard Blink talking to Syara. "Hey did someone say fighting lesson? I could use a chance to burn off some steam, if you don't mind me tagging along." She smiled in what she hoped was a big, puppy dog "please take me with you" kinda smile.

MATTHIAS KENT "BLINK"

Blink turned facing Syara, her smile reassuring him that she would be alright. He gave her a welcoming nod in response to her gratitude. Thief had interest in seeing the body down in the lab. Matthias doubted they would restrict her access. He pondered in his thoughts for a brief moment, taking a sip of coffee. "I doubt they'd stop you if you tried." said Blink, raising his eyebrows and shoulders. A smile escaped him as he casually leaned against the wall, putting his phone back into his pocket. "I wouldn't bother with Vision in his current state. Hopefully he's 'come to' by now. Must have had a very long morning.. The guy can be unpredictable, sometimes.." said Blink with a soft laugh, shaking his head.

The sound of footsteps grew louder in the distance. Blink's pupils widened, then quickly narrowed. It was Charlie. He could sense it before looking over his shoulder. toward her as she walked past."Well someone's awake." said Matthias as he looked toward Kage with a grin. He was very pleased with her recovery.
