Ceyede gave a shrug; she herself had never traveled with her mother to sell the goods. It was her mother’s peaceful time; though it was anyone’s guess as to how it could possibly be peaceful, “I honestly have no clue. She has never taken me along; tells me I am better suited to helping around the house.”

Hearing about the gold not being provided made her chuckle, ”Well, perhaps you can work out a deal with my mother. She can save gold for you and you can trade her a good or service for them so next time you have a commission you won’t have to travel so far.”

As the Alkidikes walked, the radaku scuffled along behind them; sometimes dragging, sometimes chasing the youngling. It was great fun to have a playmate, and Achlys surely appreciated it. As they caught up Achlys braced for the charging younglings impact, then rolled at the last second. Galloping over to where she landed Achlys pinned her and began licking her stomach.

Ceyede continued to keep a watchful eye on the pair. It seemed harmless, but she knew what her Radaku was capable of… had they been faced with a menzuri… her playful antics would be banished for a vicious façade; as much as the pup liked to play… it was trained into her to fight, and the second that line between play and fight started to fade, Ceyede needed to be ready.

When Achlys no longer where he was supposed to be, Yitzah was startled for a brief moment, enough to be pinned easily by the young beast. She yelped and wiggled on the ground, giggling as she tried to push the furred face away. The Radaku's tongue tickled, and it tickled a lot. With a playful yip of her own, she tried to roll away, but the pup was too strong. She gave Achlys a shove, trying to get him on the ground too, so she could have some payback... How would he like to be tickled?!

“And are you?” Dyakida asked, curiously, ”Better suited to helping around the house? Or do you feel that you should be allowed to help her?”

She thought about the sister's offer. ”That is a good idea.” she said, thoughtful, ”But of course, I should meet your mother first, and you and I have only just met.” she smiled, ”In fact, I believe we forgot to trade names!”

Peyla chimed in amusement. Silly Dyakida, forgetting introductions. She didn't forget! The sprite flew from wherever she had been lurking – likely looking for things on the side of the road and, chiming in a very loud and self-important way, introduced herself with aplomb. She was Peyla, Dyakida's guide, and she was special and awesome!

Dyakida managed to repress a laugh at the sound of her sprite. ”That is Peyla, my sprite.” she gestured behind her, towards the sounds of play, ”The little one is Yitzah – she is my assistant.”

Peyla chimed indignantly and glared at her alkidike.

...Peyla assists me as well.” she assured, holding her hand out for the sprite. ”I am Dyakida, an crafter of weapons, not a warrior.” she tilted her head in Ceyede's direction, ”And you?”

Ceyede scoffed, "I'd like to think I am meant for greater things than housekeeping... But I do have a knack for organization."

Ceyede noted Achlys's rowdy behavior and gave a sharp whistle that alerted the Radaku to come to her side.

Flailing to her claws, Achlys pawed over to her master and lay at her feet with a, "Hrumph."

Ceyede stared in amusement at the bumbling sparkle sprite that twiddled about Dyakida, "Peyla Huh? And Achlys's little playmate is Yitzah." Bowing slightly she replied, "I am Ceyede." Raising to her full height she let out a smile, "A Weaponsmith eh. That's quite the craft."

"I have a proposal. I have a few errands to run in Andile, and I recall you saying you have a few. How about we part here, complete our tasks, and meet up here outside Andile. You can accompany me back to my home and we can take things from there?" It was strange... Normally she wouldn't even consider bring someone home, but this seemed different. Her parents would understand and there is a chance to make new connections business wise, and she was definitely intrigued by Dyakida and the company she had in tow. "Sound good?"

Dyakida listened. ”Well met, Ceyede.” Dyakida said, fully intending to remember the sister's name.

”Organization, as a skill, is very valuable... Were I disorganized, I could do very little.” she said, slightly self-deprecating. Some of the sisters in her home tree thought of her as 'over organized'. Everything had to be in its proper place in her room, and to a lesser extent in any area she frequented. It was, of course, a necessity: not being able to see where a thing was placed meant that she had to rely on trust and luck. Organization maximized trust and minimized luck.

”It is quite the craft, and very important for our tribe.” she said, proudly, ”And your proposal...” she thought it over.

Pacified, Peyla chimed a greeting to the Radaku pup (from the safety of Dyakida's hand, of course.”

”I think that is an excellent idea.” she said finally. ”Each to our own errands , to meet up later and discuss business.” and maybe other things. ”As long as you are sure that your mother will not mind me dropping by!”

Yitzah looked up at the whistle, startled by it's suddenness. Initially, she was puzzled as to why the older sister had let out such a sound, but when she saw Achlys run to her, she knew.

Playtime was over.

She watched, dissappointed, before trotting to catch up to Dyakida, staring at Achyls longingly. She wasn't done playing yet.

However... She listened to Dyakida and made a happy sound. Meeting again? That meant she could play with the radaku again, later! Later, was acceptable.

Ceyede cracked a smile, "My parents will be fine with it, See you soon." she waved to the pair and made her way into the village of Andile. With haste she darted through the crowded streets to the docks at the other end of town. She wished to return to the meeting point as soon as possible to meet up again. Dyakida is an interesting sister to say the least. Her hobbies are fascinating and Ceyede enjoyed speaking with her; something she commonly didn't care for among her other sisters. Something about Dyakida was different, but that was something to ponder later; to the task at hand~

Meeting up with her contact, she gave a subtle wave of greeting and approached, "It's been a while, Everything alright on the island?"

N'Dia shifted on her feet and let out a growl, "You know how it is, there is always something going on; something to gossip about... It is what you can expect from a tight nit society like ours... is your mother well?" She asked timidly while hauling the requested supplies from the canoe like boat she had rowed here, "Last we spoke we weren't on the best of terms; you should be helping me with that~ We are family after all."

Ceyede gave a head shake at her aunt and helped her haul out the bag, "Quite the sack for some berries and feathers?"

N'Dia shot her a glance, "Way to change the subject. I'm here for more than just you and your supplies." she jabbed while retrieving the woven satchel of a variety of colors. "No sense making the trip for just this little thing, right?"

"Might get you in better standings with Mom~" Ceyede teased while taking the satchel and swinging it over her shoulder, "I will tell her you asked of her; It'll make her smile. She's well... since you asked; busy as ever." She shifted on her feet clearly ready to get going, "I should be going. You should stop by some evening. Take care N'Dia~" She started back through town giving her aunt a brisk wave before picking up the pace and making it back to the meeting point just outside of town.

Giving a sharp whistle to her familiar she watched as Lys crawled out of a nearby bush and gave a stretch and a yawn. "Sleeping already, did that young sister wear you out?"

Lys's tail whopped the earth as she looked up at her master.

Ceyede gave her a pat on the head, "Well, let us find a place to sit and wait for Kida, Yitz, and Peyla"

The market trip had been very productive. Dyakida and Yitzah – between the two of them - managed to pick up most of what they had been looking for... all but the yarn, really, and Dyakida had plans for that.

Yitzah loved the market. She and Dyakida made a good team – she knew what Dyakida wanted, and she could find it for the artisan. And then Dyakida would buy it... it worked out well. The events of the morning had been pushed from the young Alkidike's mind, but she noticed that the artisan was preoccupied during their shopping.

Normally, Yitzah would not have cared: Grown ups were preoccupied by the oddest things. Dyakida was not an ordinary grown-up, however, and as they left the market, Yitzah found herself watching the artisan curiously...

Not buying string at the market was a blatant excuse to meet up with Ceyede. Dyakida was not fooling herself. She wanted a legitimate business-related reason to talk to the alkidike, something she could shield herself with or use to her advantage if necessary.
”Yitzah, we should be just outside of town... do you see Ceyede?” she asked pronouncing the name carefully, ”Could you take me to her?”

Peyla fluttered nearby, full to her fins with pilfered fruit: it was the only reason she did not give even a token protest to the girl's blatant stealing of her job. She was just too full to care.

Yitzah raised an eyebrow at Dyakida, but she didn't question it. Instead, she looked around and – finding Ceyede and (more importantly) the young Radaku, began leading Dyakida in that direction...

Ceyede was spaced out staring over the marketplace... it was busy as always, but everyone had a different feel about them... there was a stillness, almost lethargic movement to them; they were being cautious. With the war brewing to the south it was almost like they were walking on eggshells hoping Neued would hold the hoard back. She could see it and she knew it wouldn't last.

Everyday she had asked her father to let her venture toward the war, and every time she said said her day would come... but this war could best even the most seasoned warriors and it was best to just stay out of it; that and her mother couldn't handle the battle.

Brought back by the increase in whopping coming from her familiars tail she assumed that they had company. turning to greet them with a smile she said, "Well, are we all set? Its a bit of a hike back to my home from here."

Let me know if I should skip to them being at her house or not... I can always edit the post to put that in, or move it to the next one XP

Yitzah was all set, yes she was! She made a sound and grinned at the Radaku, rummaging among her things for a treat bone – which she had bought herself, without Dyakida knowing it. She could do that, of course, being her assistant, and she didn't think it was wrong: she'd used her own stuff, and 'kida hadn't needed her just then, and she'd wanted to give the Radaku a treat because she was going to see him again and... wasn't that what you did.

She offered it – without asking, of course, given her loss of her voice, and because why should she? This was between her and the Radaku. Ceyede wasn't even her issue at this point.

If Dyakida had known that her assitant was offering a potentially dangerous animal a bone, she would have protested. But, though she tried to be attentive despite her disability, things did escape her notice, like sneaky children doing their own thing.

The war meant that her goods were selling well, but it also meant that many other things were harder than usual to come by.

”Indeed.” said Dyakida, ”I am set.”

"Right then," she said turning on her heels she started down the path which they arrived on. She kept a good pace but stayed close to Dya as they walked, "so what plans do you have for the goods my mother offers, if you don't mind me prying while we walk." it was something to break the silence for the long walk ahead.

Achlys watched the youngling as she rummaged for the dried morsel of stench that made gluey tendrils drip from her jowls. she watched, her pupils doubling in size as the child's small fingers pulled the treat from a bag and offered it on a held open hand. Achlys stared a moment in disbelief then in seconds snatched the treat and shamefully slunk away to enjoy the treat in the shadows.

Yitzah was pleased her gift was well received, and watched the Radaku smugly as it ate the meat in peace. She put her finger to her lips – if he wasn't supposed to have the treat, his secret was safe with her.

The girl was actually tired of walking, and sort of bored besides, but she didn't want to go home without Dyakida – she would be a terrible assistant if she abandoned the Artisan - and she couldn't voice her boredom. Well, she could. She just... wouldn't. It was complicated.

Instead, she went along with the trip, happy at least for the company of the Radaku.

”Oh no, I do not mind at all. A silent walk is a boring walk, after all.” Dyakida said. It was for her, anyway. Not being able to see anymore took the 'scenic' out of a scenic route and made it essentially a long, treacherous walk.

”Well. I craft weapons, blades and bows and spears and the occasional other thing. Many of the people that commission me request certain alterations or additions to make their weapon uniquely theirs. Some want special wood, others want inlays or even...” she smiled at the extravagance, ”Metals.” Metal was difficult to work with, and hard to get.

”As it is my craft and my passion” and her life, ”I like to... open new avenues. Try new things. Thread, fine dyed silk thread, is something I have not tried, and it has the potential for some very remarkable pieces...” she paused. ”Ah, I'm sorry. Weapons. I think of them as art.”
