Trent's intentions were obviously not to get into a brawl with a larger man. No, because that would be stupid and cost the man energy and possibly a match. Trent got in close and dodged the feint swing he sent, going under it and automatically going for the legs of the huge man. He wouldn't be able to take Matt down technically, but if he used ruthless aggression he could at least take the man down to a kneel, which was good enough for him. After Trent ducked the swing, he looked to send a hard kick directly to the knee cap of the man, looking to take that leg out of the equation for a moment and gain an advantage in this match up hopefully, and if it didn't take the man down, he could always attempt to send more kicks until that knee would need work done on it, in a clinic.

The first kick connected, causing Matt to bring his left leg stepping back and out of range of more assaults from Trent! As he brought the leg back to avoid more damage, his body twisted to the right, adding a small amount of momentum as The Storm's right fist went swinging out of instinct, aiming to knock the smaller man's jaw loose with a harsh blow!

The kick would connect but so would a speedy right which would throw Trent back all the way to the opposite side of the ring. Trent was a fast competitor, but even he was unprepared for that quick strike that landed right across his jaw, sending him to the other side of the ring, and dream street. Matt would once again have the upper-hand on the smaller sized Archangel by using his hands to do so.

With the quick blow, Matt's prey was already trying to escape again. He couldn't allow that, not now! He backed up to the ropes and pushed himself off of them, sending The Storm propelling into Trent's direction. The brawl would have to be put on hold for now, as Shanahan came running in with intentions for a swift punt to the head, aiming to knock Trent's head clean off his body!

Trent would have been knocked back, but somehow shook off the punch that made it's mark right on his chin. However, Matt would have struck him when he was just beginning to get up, receiving a punt across his skull which would send a major shockwave through the skull of Trent. No matter who uses that maneuver, it's bound to do some damage. However, he is lucky that Matt isn't a pro kicker that left the NFL or anything, however his head would still be ringing after that punt which would swing Trent's body, on to his back.

The fans lit up like a sea of Christmas trees at the successful punt. With the help of the ropes, Matt stopped himself from letting the momentum carry him right over the ropes. He turned to see Trent down on the mat and saw an opportunity to end this one before he had to give the young champion a serious concussion. He fell to his knees and hooked the leg, aiming to secure a quick pinfall!

The young man may have received a gruesome kick to his skull but he showed resiliency and persistence when he lifted his shoulder at a close two count. The Storm may be surprised that the man could even move, let alone throw him off so that the count could broken, what would he do in response?

The referee called for the two count, signalling that this match wasn't over! Matt sat up beside the Asylum Champion, letting a quiet sigh leave his lips and shaking his head. Resilience may be respectable to some, but The Storm wasn't phased. His way of giving Trent the easy way out was not taken! Matt got up to his feet after the kick-out, attempting to bring Trent with him by grabbing the man's hair and roughly yanking it.

The showcase of Trent's heart didn't make Matt feel anything, which is the best response to a person kicking out, however it's not like that was a finishing maneuver or anything close, even though it brought a lot of pain with it. The Storm got up and began to pull Trent up by his hair, Trent replying by getting up and yelping at the treatment he is currently receiving by the World Champion of E:E. Trent was a champion much like Matt, that is why he will fight back until he gains the win.

With Trent in tow, Matt was ready to begin his offense once again. Still grasping the smaller man's locks, he attempted to bring his knee upward, crashing into Trent's face at full force!

A knee came to strike the face of Trent in a coconut crush kind of form. Damaging the skull of Trent, as he would fall back, tugging away at the grasp he had on his hair. If he were able to do so, he would begin to heard towards the outside of the ring in hopes of recovering after the huge beating he has been taking by The Storm.

Matt gave Trent no opposition as the man attempted to escape his grasp. The Asylum Champion easily got out of the ring and away from The Storm.
... But this time, The Storm was following him.
After Trent managed to roll out of the ring, Matt stepped to the ropes and slowly stepped over, taking his time to stalk his prey of the evening.

Trent did not know that Matt was behind him, all he wanted to do was clear the cobwebs in his head and get back into the match. After pacing around awhile, he noticed the Storm wasn't inside the ring, with deep regret of knowing what will happen if he does this, but he would turn around to a surprise, seeing The Storm approaching him from behind.

Matt took his time to get off the apron, but he always remained close in Trent's wake. The fans were cringing at the thought of what Shanahan might do to continue his assault, some even wanted to warn the smaller champion of what lurked behind him. When Trent turned around, Matt went sprinting right at him, aiming to floor him with a vicious clothesline!

Trent was hit so hard he literally did a flip after the move connected. Matt used a lot of force to knock the Asylum champ like that. Trent would lay there after hitting the mat with additional damage after doing the flip and landing on his stomach. The crowd would stare at what had transpired but it was probably not a surprise to the huge man known as The Storm.
