"Kind of required so I don't, you know, startle people?" He laughed and just drew the shapes with a serious face, examining as he went. She had nice skin, smooth, soft. Seemed to take care of it. He tattooed some chests that had pimples, in grown hairs, and all kinds of issues so this was kind of a nice change of pace. "So tell me a bit about yourself and why this particular tattoo, mn?" He looked up at her and then down at his work before taking the marker off and motioned to a mirror. "Do that, while going to see the placement and size."

"They should know what they're getting into at this point.." She blushed when he asked about the tattoo. "Oh uhm...It's... cause of a friend who is close to me.. They kinda helped me through something..." Laine murmured quietly. "They have a thing about roses so.. I figured why not?" The girl fidgeted slightly, sliding from the chair over to the mirror. "As for myself... Like I said... Kinda come from a big family. I've got younger siblings, three of which are triplets. Do you know that family run Jewelry Store not far from here? That's my parent's place." She took a minute to stare at the lineart before turning back to him. ".. You know, I never got your name.. You got mine when I handed over my id."

"Aaah, a friend who's close to you?" Kor grinned a little, watching her go off to examine the tattoo. He was trying not to stare, but she had a very well shaped body. "I have a friend into roses... Tattooed him and his close friend recently. Oddly enough, my friend owns a candy store." He winked at her a bit before arching a brow. "Me? Kor. Kor McKneil, owner of this place." He made a grand spectral of opening his arms and turning this way and that to show her what he meant. "I'm king of the castle."

"Mhmm.. It was one of those, making me see the light scenarios ya know?" She snorted, catching his reflection in the mirror. The urge to ask if he saw something he liked was on the tip of her tongue but Laine remained quiet as she returned to the chair. "Well then, Mr. King of the Castle. It looks good. You are free to move on to the next part. Do you just do Tattoo's here? Or do you do piercings too?"

"I can do piercings, but I mainly do tattoos. I know piercings are quick, but I don't have a dedicated person to them." Kor got he inks ready, and slipped on some rubber gloves before wiggling his fingers a bit. Kor's eyes were glued to her back side before she wandered back and he let his eyes dart to her face before grinning impishly. What? He was an open minded guy and she had a nice little body. "See, my friend didn't help me through that. Just a really, really good lay." Ah, one of the better lays he had. Kor laughed to himself as he picked up his gun to get it ready, and hit the foot pedal to make sure it was still working. All good. "This might sting, but, Ms. Laine, you say you're used to that." With that, he met her eyes before giving her a wink and moving on with the outline. The outline was the worst bits for tattoos because you used a single needle for thin lines and had to go over an area slowly.

"Have you ever thought of looking for someone?? Even if you don't do em as often, it's more revenue for you isn't it?" She snickered quietly to herself as he grinned back at her. At least he was having fun with this. "Ah, that's where we differ. I didn't get a lay out of it..." Maybe that's why she kept getting severely side tracked every time he said 'virgin discounts'. "Just Laine is fine.." She tried not to twitch or move too much as he got to work. ...Even though she said she'd been through worse, he was right. This s**t stung! "That definitely clears the sinus'." She snorted.

"Clears your sinuses and what ails you," he said, Southern twang showing through despite the loud buzzing of the gun. "As for hiring someone? Yeah, thought about it, but it's not like I get a stream of applications coming through saying: Hey lemme tattoo here or pierce here. I've been in the city less than a year. I ain't a big shop or anything. From what I hear there's another guy who does tats." He looked up at her after a moment and pulled the gun away to wipe at the tattoo lightly with a paper towel. He dipped the gun back in black in and turned it on to soak up some of the ink. "So, friendly competition and all that. I mean if I was tryin' ta get into the business brand new, I would go with a shop that's been around longer and has more of a name, ya know? I just give it time." He gave her a wink before getting back to the outline. For his size, Kor was dramatically light handed. "Pity you didn't get a lay out of it. Unless you're not into men?" Nothing was too personal in a tattoo parlor. He's heard it all.

Oh hello. He had an accent. Could this get any better? "You don't need to be a big shop.. This is exactly what someone needs to get their foot in the door. You could try asking jewelers? Or putting ads up in a few places." Maybe she'd talk to her parents and see if they knew any one... Huge family means connections. "Nothing wrong with that. Good competition right?" Maybe she wasn't getting the jist of things because she worked with her parents... "That might be a good thing, but everyone would be applying there... If I were looking for some place... I think I'd be looking for a small place like this." No one would notice it because they wanted the big brand name.. Which meant more competition for the job. "This is a good place to start, even if it's small." "I swing both ways, sugar. I think he was trying to get over something too.. It wouldn't have been right." She sighed. "Maybe someday."

"Cute and you have morals. Where have you been?" He laughed a little more as he let her talk. Listening was part of his job and he was damn good at it. Taking a deep breath, Kor just hummed as he pulled back to wipe at the tattoo again to see what he had left, and to refill. "Oh, I don't mind the competition. I am not particularly competitive when it comes down to these things. I figure Destiny is big enough for more than one tattoo shop, right? It's not like I would have gotten the permit if it wasn't. I haven't met the other owner, but I'm assuming he doesn't mind considering he hasn't stormed in demanding I close things down." He thumbed her skin a little, squinting at the work before grinning. "As for advertising I'm hiring? Well, I want people to want the job. You know? I am not gonna bite someone's head off for comin' in and asking if I need another tattooist, or someone to do piercings, which I do want both. But my clientele is small enough that I can handle it myself. But, if yer offerin' to be my piercest, I say go get certified, babe, and you've got the job." Metalworking meant she knew what kinds things to watch out for if someone said they were allergic to nickle, like... he was. Kor was allergic to it, made him swell up and itch like a b***h. He learned that the hard way. "Yer of legal age, seem ta be good with people.. But if you don't want to go through all the rigamarol that comes with it, it's understandable. Besides, you already got a job. Don't need to steal you away. ...offer still stands." "Almost done with the outline. Then's the shading. How're you feeling?" The question was asked as he went back to work one more time, a dread lock slipping over his shoulder as he leaned forward.

She snorted, grinning wide. "Oh sweetheart. Morals go out the window once you get to really know me. But sometimes the situation just... calls for it. Even if it's a downer." "I do some of the piercing at my parent's place. Buuuut I'm sure they wouldn't mind me getting out and spreading my wings." One less kid running about the shop doing things. "I can ask my parents though, I'm sure they wouldn't mind putting up a sign or something in the window to promote your shop. "At the very least, it sends customer's your way right?" "I can handle a busy day like no one's business." Then she blinked at him. "...If you weren't currently getting hands on with my chest, I'd probably be on my knees hugging your leg." Laine had been dying for a chance to get out of her parents store. "I'm doing alright. Stings a bit but.. I've had worse." She'd probably be hissing in pain by the time she got home later. Her hand slipped out between them to catch the hair that fell before it fell in his face completely. "...You uh, may want to tie those bad boys back."

Or... Nope brain was not going into the gutter while tattooing someone's boobs. Nope. He laughed a little more and just took a deep breath. Nice, calming thoughts. Helping her out. That was a good thought. Yes, getting her out from under her parents thumb. That was a good thing to focus on. "Ah, well, no hug required," he murmured quietly. Her hand caught his dread and he blinked owlishly as he pulled back because he finally finished the outline. Turning the machine off, he grabbed the solution to wet the paper towel and then cleaned up the outline with a grin and then shrugged. "Check that out while I do this?" He pulled his gloves off and tossed them in the trash before going to tie them back out of his face. Long hair was a godsend when it came to not needing a rubber band. He just used his hair and then stretched himself out. "Hey, do it. I wouldn't mind someone to talk to during the quiet parts of the day, you know? Instead of always on my damn phone."

"Ya suuuuure? Unless you're not into girls.." God they were going back and forth at each other like they had known each other all their life. She shook her head as he tied his hair back. "I know it looks good. I trust you to know what you're doing." "I'll talk to my parent's about it. If nothing else.. I'm eighteen. I need to strike out on my own at some point right??" Sure, her parent's might not be thrilled, but she couldn't rely on them for everything. She knew there were somethings she had to do on her own. "It would be nice to not have a dozen different conversations going on at once..." Laine sighed before frowning. "Being on your phone gets old quick.. I can't imagine that makes the time go fast."

"Guys, girls... You name it, I'm into it," Kor said as he gave her a bit of a wink. "Just as long as they're eighteen or older." With that, Kor washed his hands and pulled on new gloves before stretching his back out and sighing. "Alright, the shading and coloring goes really fast." With that, he changed out the needles in the gun and then hummed again. "Well.. As for striking out on your own, I agree. Eighteen's a good age. You can get out there and bounce back if it doesn't quite go as planned, yeah?" He chuckled again and then loaded up the black ink to do the shading first. "Here we go. Less painful, I would assume." He pressed the gun against her skin and started the process. "I don't even have a ton of friends here. Usually texting a total of two guys. One of which, never texts back. If he's actually alive? I don't know, but I send texts anyway.... Just in case." His hand moved in small circular motions, trying to not let his eyes drift too far down.

"Nice..." She chuckled. "That's true... I've always got my parents place till I do land something more permanent.. But it would be nice to get out of there. Working with your family can be... taxing at times." ".... Wanna make it three?" Laine asked somewhat awkwardly. "I mean... if I am going to try working here, you're gonna need my number anyway. And um... yeah." She was just gonna stop talking now and shut up. The girl fought the urge to hide behind her hands. But alas... She had to sit still. "It's nice that you still send texts to them though. It's the thought that counts Kor."

"Wouldn't really know. Growin' up on the streets, I don't... really have a family." He didn't make it sound sad or anything, just a fact. Chuckling a little more, he looked up at the girl he was tattooing when she said he'd need her number and he nodded. "Very astute of you to notice. I was getting to asking you that, you know. I was trying to be smooth. To be chill." He laughed a little and just hummed as he moved his hand over a bit to shade the heart now that he was done with the filigree. "You know..." He murmured, watching his hand now and trying not to focus on her face too much. "We should go for coffee sometime. ...Talk a bit more. I dunno, continue flirting."
