In a momentarily playful tone, she commented "I'm doing what needs to be done!"
Pressing her little paw over his chest, just above his starseed, she closed her eyes and concentrated upon the boy's very soul. A sort of warmth would spread through his limbs as the star shape upon her forehead seemed to glow faintly. It might have seemed odd that such a small ball of fluff was able to pack such a punch in a sense, but when she opened her eyes, she uncurled slightly in his arm.
"Call out 'Parthenope Asteroid Power, Make-up!'... I promise you won't be disappointed!"

The warm feeling was almost welcome even if it was unexpected. He hadn't felt that way since the first time he’d power up at all.
“Parthenope Asteroid Power, make up!” There was a bright flash of light after he said those words. This had been what had been holding him back all this time. It wasn’t his ineptitude or for lack of trying This was a mental crutch that he could never have expected or prepared for but he still overcame it.
The newly awakened Super Parthenope took another step towards it. Instead of the hard black under his feet, he felt nothing but concrete.The monster in front of him thrashed as it began more and more ensnared. It's slimy skin seemed to dissolve around it, only hanging on by the slightest of strands. The darkness itself was writhing, long wriggly tendrils of it shrinking back as he made it’s way towards it. The senshi couldn't stop, or didn’t actually notice, the smirk on his face. “I’m not dead.” The monster lifted it’s head, snapping it’s useless jaws towards him though all it succeeded in doing was driving it’s teeth through the top of it’s jaw though it didn't seem to mind.
“You can’ touch me. I don't know who you think I am. Hell, I barely even know who I am but I’m alive.” Another substance start to bubble around the creature. The warehouse rattled, the glass crack and the light bulbs burst under an unseen pressure. Still, Parthenope carried on with his monologue to something no one else can see like the world’s most stage play. Every bit of the liquid that touched the creature melted through it. He could see bits and piece of the floor through small holes in it’s body. It’s legs were entirely gone, lost in the dark pond that no longer covered the floor beyond it’s mass. “You may have killed me before or…at least a part of me but you’re long gone. They didn' get the chance to kill you but I do. You’re jus’ a bad dream”
At those words, the liquid around it started to sizzle. It melted through skin, flesh and bone until the creature was a pile of nothingness. The only thing left of it were it’s large teeth jutting out of the ground. Parthenope eyed the leftover teeth with utter contempt. They’d haunted him for so long. Something so stupid as teeth had sent him screaming down the street in tears. If he could, he would have crushed themselves. He would have watched as they crack and splintered. Watching his element, tar, rot and melt them away would have to be enough. Just as quickly as it had begun, it ended. No rattling or darkness or teeth. Just the three of them in an nearly empty warehouse.
“God I’m tired…” He whispered as he fell to his knees in front of were the creature had ‘died’. He couldn't help but think that it was the calm before the storm. It would take quite some time for the man to realize that the storm had passed.

The manx cat remained in the senshi's arms as his uniform glowed briefly, certain embellishments finding their way onto the magical clothing. Even now, as the new super senshi seemed to get more and more invested in what he saw, the Mauvian couldn't really see what was going on. His words were strong and fierce, and in all honesty, more familiar to her.
This was the senshi she had met, the one she knew.
It was all over when the warehouse grew silent. The eternal senshi eventually offered a classic slow clap before she began to walk over to where Parthenope had fallen to his knees.
"I told ya..." she said, her tone seeming to return to her usual demeanor. With that she extended a hand to her newly upgraded teammate to help him up.

Parthenope looked up at his teammate, a weak smile on his face. “Yeah. Yeah. You told me…” He carried the cat in one arm as he took her hand and rose to his feet. The senshi finally took the time to look down and inspect the new uniform. Nothing out of place. Still as stylish as ever.
“I take it that’s not a normal enemy we have to face? I don't think I can do this crap every time. You gotta warn a guy about somethin’ like that!” It was an offhanded comment, playful even given the situation. It had been a lot to take in. Learning about a past life, let alone one where you died horribly, wasn’t something anyone expected to find out during their life time. There was definitely more to this senshi thing than she want letting on. Still, that was another emotional hurricane he didn't think he could weather. Besides, he would live to see another day after all.
