It’s about 6:30 am in the morning and it's Monday, the start of a fresh new week. The weather seems cloudy as a fog rolls lazily about the estate. The air is fresh and crisp to the lungs. Wildlife have awoken and begun to forage around dew speckled foliage. The bright green color of the lush vegetation is a stark contrast to the earthen brick red and brown of the old castle it surrounds. Just like the creatures outside, the residents too begin to wake. But, within the castle there is a sense of purpose, unity, and beginning of people rushing about to signify that today in an important day.
Today, the Enchantment Academy is opening its great doors to returning students, as well as new ones alike. The staff are bustling in the kitchens to provide warm breakfasts and directing students to their dormitories to unpack. The Opening Ceremony will begin in the evening, for now settle in and enjoy your new home.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxchyna♡loganxxxxxv o l a t i l e x m a t t e r x m a n i p u l a t o r Chyna sighed as she approached the front gates of the Enchantment Academy. Yes, she was glad to be back. It was an environment that fully accepted her, even though they seemed somewhat cautious whenever she got upset. They weren’t afraid of her; no hint of fear in her peers, nor her instructor’s eyes. Her parents, on the other hand… they were a different story. With her growth, her powers grew more and more intense, and the relationship she had with her family grew more and more strained. It was a little rough over the summer, feeling like you’re run away from and surrounded by stress when you used to be surrounded by love from the same people. Adjusting the duffle bag slung off of her shoulder, and with sad eyes, Chyna turned around to wave a final goodbye to her parents as they drove away, back to their home.
Turning back towards the door, and with confidence, Chyna pulled it open and stepped inside her new home and school for her second year there. The staff was buzzing through the halls, up and down the staircases, in and out doors, and she could smell the heavenly scent of carefully prepared breakfast foods wafting towards her. Breathing in deeply, she smiled. She shifted her weight, and noticing how busy the East Wing seemed to be at the time, decided her time would be better spent getting settled in her dorm.
Once she finally reached the 3rd floor of the West Wing (you’d think they’d have magical staircases or something by this point, but no), a tad out of breath, she made her way easily to room 3A. Dropping her duffle bag onto the ground, she shuffled through her belongings to find her welcoming letter, which enclosed important things like her school schedule and dorm assignment/key. Chyna carefully opened her envelope, and while she picked up her things and duffle bag, she telekinetically unlocked the door and pushed it open. Might as well use her little tricks to her advantage and begin practicing more control, eh?
Once inside, she commenced unpacking, which was practically effortless, sitting on the sofa in the living room in front of her fireplace, she pulled out one of her favorite magazines that was always on the frontier of the music scene, and pressing play on her device, began to listen to music. Almost instantly, her forgotten duffle bag was zipped open and its contents began pouring out, setting themselves up comfortably around the dorm as Chyna saw fit, graciously opening doors for them that were in the way. After a few minutes, she looked away from her slick magazine to peer around at the job she had done. It was completed almost flawlessly, with not a single object placed precariously or out of order. ‘A place for everything, and everything in its place,’ she thought, standing and stretching her arms and torso. The day had barely begun, but it started off on a bright and easy note, leading her to believe that a delightful year was ahead of her.

Suddenly, something furry and upon four legs entered the girl’s dormitory. An elegantly slim Siamese feline strided over to Chyna’s door. “Meow? Meow!” The cat voiced expectantly before there was a cough, follow by slight hacking, then a deep male voice came out . “Oh, dear me. Um, Miss Logan? Miss Logan, this is Professor Aristotle at the door. Hello?” The feline questioned. After a moments pause, there was scratching on the door as several sharp claws dug into the wood to grab the occupant’s attention. But, the clawing did not last long for someone suddenly yelled , “Mr. Aristotle!” It was Professor Kralova. The woman wore a tailored outfit and her long brown hair was tucked into a bun atop her head with a yellow number two pencil holding it in place. Her black pumps clicked against the stone walkway and she looked positively livid at the destruction of the perfectly restored castle’s door. Well, less perfect, now. “I understand you cannot knock, but that is no excuse to start scratching about the doors!” Lishka growled at the feline, who’s hair was standing on end at the sudden surprise. “How else am I supposed to alert the students of the upcoming banquet?” Aristotle hissed. “With less clawing and more talking, of course.” Lishka sighed as she stood right next to the furry Professor who looked up haughtily up at her with his brilliantly blue eyes. “Let me take care of this,” whispered Lishka as she shifted her gaze away from the feline and back to the door as she gave it a knock of her own. “Hello Miss Logan, it is me Professor Kralova. If we can have a word with you, dear?” She finished just as Aristotle let out a catly sneeze. No doubt they would have caught Chyna’s attention by now. OOC Working on the personalities still :3

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTomi MarksmanxxxxI know what you are thinking... xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx...and no, the mind isn't something you can just read like a book.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxTomi Marksman was glad to be back. Over the past few years, he felt more at home in his school housed in a castle in Poland than back on the east coast of the United States-regardless of whether it was the small town in Massachusetts where he had most of his education before arriving here, or New York City with his parents where he was born and lived for seven years of torture before his parents figured out being in that large of a city wasn't good, especially for someone who couldn't control hearing others thoughts-as if the city wasn't loud enough already. This summer though he had felt confident enough to risk going back to the New York City to spend some time with his parents there, and though he was able to block out most of the noise-the noise everyone heard and the noise of other's minds- it was still way more taxing than he cared to admit. And, tiresome since it wasn't easy to constantly block out overhearing that many people, especially considering plenty of people were emotional and thus their thoughts were more loud and open and harder to block out. Well, he survived, so he supposed he should be happy about that and the fact he obviously had made quite a bit of progress in studying how to control his abilities. You couldn't just answer someone's question before they asked it so easily and without a strange look unless they knew you were psychic. He had gotten to the castle about an hour ago and after dropping off his luggage in his room and swiftly unpacking, he had taken a book and gone to what was currently the quiet music room. Most people were too busy moving in and happily greeting friends or adjusting to the idea of the Academy as a whole as they came for the first time. At least in the music room he was a bit further from most of the chaos and it was a soundproof room-it might not technically block out all thoughts buzzing around the castle, but it did block out the noise anyone would hear and it actually did at least muffle thoughts buzzing around without him making any effort to block out anything. He supposed he should be more social and go greet people, but figured he'd come out after an hour or two enjoying his general solitude in the music room. Besides after spending two weeks in New York City (the rest he stayed at his aunt's) he felt he earned that much.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxchyna♡loganxxxxxv o l a t i l e x m a t t e r x m a n i p u l a t o r Chyna was pulled from the placidness of her thoughts by a meowing of sorts, a combination of scratching and knocking at her door, followed by Professor Kralova calling to her from the other side. She had been mid-stretch, but she dropped her arms to her sides and made her way to the entrance of her dorm, pulling the heavy door open to the best of her ability. “Oh, hello Professors Kralova and Aristotle! It’s very nice to see you again,” she huffed, pushing her hip to hold the weight of the door as she bent down lightly to rub the cat’s cheek and scratch behind his ears for a moment. She smiled, standing back up again, and deciding it best if her mind bore the brunt of the thick, concrete door’s weight, rather than her meek body being left to physical struggle. As the door was pushed magically from Chyna’s body to the wall, she girl tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and straightened out her shirt before switching her gaze between the both of them.
“I understand you need to speak with me?” she inquired cheerfully, although gently. Chyna wasn’t sure if this would be a stern talking-to, or a warning of sorts, advising her to stay away from the student body, or that she would be ‘homebound’ and forced to study from the solidarity of her dorm room, or anything along those lines. Always, always, Chyna feared isolation at the hand of authority, declaring her “unstable” or a “threat” or “dangerous” to any of her peers. She longed for close relationships to her peers and professors, something she was unaccustomed to, but not necessarily “bad” at.
But she kept her composure until they stated their purpose. It could be bad news, but it could also be good, or impartial to her situation. Whichever it was, best not to judge it prematurely. ‘You know, it really is nice to see them for another year,’ Chyna thought to herself warmly, ‘I never realize how adorable kitties are until I see Aristotle.’

Celina would miss swimming in the Nogat once the summer ended. The water would become far too cold to go into and she would be stuck using the pool in the academy. She had nothing against that, really, but it was just not the same as natural water. On top of that, walking back from the west wing to the east wing was decidedly less interesting than walking back to the castle from the river. The professor sometimes wished the school was based somewhere warm all year round but she supposed that had its own issues.
The sun was strong despite it being very early. Some students had arrived before dawn but most of them were arriving now. She wondered if any of them would recognise the alumni returned to teach at her old school. Most of her contemporaries had long since left although it would surprise her if one or two of the very youngest were not still around. Regardless, the start of the academic year was making her nervous. This was her first year of teaching on her own. She had done a brief placement as student teacher but that had been in a ‘normal’ school in England. This was something completely different. On top of that, she was taking over a class that had been thrown into chaos after her predecessor disappeared just before summer. She had moved in shortly after and had spent the holiday preparing to take over one of the hardest classes in the curriculum.
She noticed a few of the students looking at her as she walked along the side of the private road. Celina wore only a sporty bikini and black flip-flops. A faded white towel was hung from one of her shoulders while she carried a half empty bottle of water in the other hand. Her skin and hair had largely dried in the morning sun, the heat pleasant on her lightly tanned skin. Pausing for a moment, the professor drank the last of her water before continuing on.
It perhaps gave an odd impression to have one of the academic staff wandering towards the castle like this but she had gotten used to the routine over the summer – she had no intention of changing until the weather forced her to. Sighing softly, Celina dragged fingers through her white hair as she passed under the shadow of the gatehouse. The sudden shade sent a shiver down her spine. Grimacing slightly, she quickened her pace to get back into sunlight. Packs of students stood around at the crossroads where the road split off in the direction of the different buildings as well as the circular route that shadowed the walls. Most of them were probably waiting to greet friends and share tales of their summer holidays. She remembered doing similar. It had always been fun, especially when the weather was as glorious as it was today.
Walking in the direction of the East Wing, she could feel the curious glances of students and the disapproving glances of some of the more conservative staff. A few times she had caught them muttering about her ‘lack of decency’. Evidently walking around in a fairly modest bikini was indecent to them. Celina strongly disagreed and so far she had not been told otherwise.
She pushed open the door into the main entrance of the East Wing. Glancing up at the stairs, the young woman had to admit it still impressed her even if this sight was years old to her now. Sighing, she closed the door behind her and stretched her arms above her head. Shower then breakfast was her plan for the moment. She dared not think much further ahead than that less her nerves get the better of her.((May do a posting format later.))

She knew she had to concentrate. Closing her eyes, Amelia tried to calm her nerves and slowly return the glass of water in front of her back to liquid form. Outwardly, you would not know that she was barely staving off a full-blown panic attack. This was her second year the Academy and she still struggled to contain her abilities. The only progress so far was any accidental use did not result in an entire room freezing solid. She remembered her first time trying to deliberately use her powers had frozen herself and most of the class in one giant ice block. Headmaster Yanikova had thankfully been on hand to thaw the room out before anyone was permanently harmed. It had been extremely embarrassing, especially since most of the students’ clothing had not survived completely intact. Her classmates had been rather angry with her too since she had not shown little emotion about the incident. She had apologised but still her outward demeanour was cold despite the inward embarrassment she felt.
Opening them again, the girl sighed in relief when she saw the glass was water once more. Picking it up, the girl drank it quickly before putting the glass in the sink. The packing had taken longer than she expected. It had to be nearly breakfast time and her stomach told her that she was indeed rather hungry. Smoothing down her skirt, she flicked some of her long hair behind her shoulder and picked up her phone from the table. Seeing that there were no messages, not that she had expected any, she slipped the phone into her bag and stepped out of her room.
Glancing down the hall, Ami was surprised to see Professor Kravola and Aristotle outside the door to the next room along. She wondered what was going on to get two teachers visiting them when they had only just arrived. Shrugging inwardly, the girl made to walk past the two. Her expression remained its usually flat self, the air cooling slightly as she walked past the two academics. Despite having been here a year already, the staff in the school intimidated her. Seeing them, she always imagined how they must look down on her in private. This was a girl who had been going to their school for a year and had still not managed to get a real handle on her powers. They would still go off randomly, especially when her anxiety started to get to her.((Shorter than I'd like but could not think of much else for Ami, at the moment. I'll try better next post. 3nodding ))

When Chyna opened the door it was to find the two Professors jostling for the prime spot at the doorway. Professor Kralova trying to move the furball off to the side, while Aristotle leaned heavily on the Lishka’s leg, making sure to rub extra fur onto her tailored pants. “It would be so sad if someone were to shed all over your new potion set.” Aristotle hissed in a low tone. “Indeed it would as it is the only set capable of producing the potion you need to ...Ah my dear, welcome back. It is nice to see you again as well.” Professor Krolava switched quickly from her low growling retort to one of polite and warm greeting. After having his fluffy cheek and head luxuriously scratched, Aristotle made sure to give Lishka a look of cattly smugness to which she just snorted and rolled her eyes at. The Professor quickly responded to the young lady’s question, “Ah, yes. Headmaster Yanikova would like to see you. He is currently located in room two, the sparring hall.” Lishka stated briskly as she pushed back her glasses up the bridge of her nose. Then the Professor blinked as she realized that her answer may have sparked worry in Chyna. “He would like to introduce you to someone who may be able to help you master your powers.” Lishka added warmly to assuage any worry. Just as Professor Kralova finished, she was startled as Aristotle jumped and sped off in a blur of fur after Amelia, who had just passed by. “Oh! Miss Olivier-Stewart!” Aristotle meowed loudly as he bounded after the Ami. Lishka clutched at her chest and muttered darkly under her breath about how Aristotle nearly gave her another heart attack. “I shall see you later, dear,” Professor Kralova inclined her head at Chyna before storming off after Aristotle with her black pumps clicking against the stone ground. OOC I'll have another post up soon for Radik and two other characters!

A young woman with shoulder length auburn hair paced anxiously in front of the slightly ajar doors leading the sparring hall. She wore a simple pea green dress and white bow tie overcoat to battle the lingering chill still in the airl. Adorning her feet were pea green pumps that matched a fabric bracelet wrapped around her right wrist and green flower earring adorning her ears. “Lenka!” Called out a deep rumbling voice that made the young woman jump in alarm. Lenka breathed a sigh of relief at the arrival of her dear friend. The owner of that that bass of a voice was none other Kiwan Mustafa. He towered over Lenka’s petite frame as she gave him a hug, but took care not to crinkle his new suit. It wasn’t every day that Kiwan would stand to wear one. “You stress out too easily.” Kiwan commented softly as the pair broke apart and he saw the anxiety resurface in Lenka’s pale blue eyes. “Don’t let anxiety become your enemy,” The bear of a man added with a gentle smile. The young woman took in a deep breath then peered up at him with a shrewd gaze, “Milos has rubbed off on you quite a lot after so many years,” Lenka remarked wisely as she surveyed her dear friend. She hadn’t seen in for a long time now. At her words, Kiwan chuckled in his deep voice. “Yeah, I guess so,” The young man grinned and he rubbed his stubbled chin. “Now, don't worry, I will be right outside the door making sure no ninjas try to barge in.” Kiwan remarked as he nodded wisely. Lenka rolled her eyes. “I know you are just going to go stuff your face with food!” The young woman huffed in good humor. “Hey now, you're not supposed to be a mind reader too!” Kiwan barked out a laugh. “You are leaving me for the wolves! Where is Milos?” Lenka asked as she folded her arms across her chest. “Probably in the kitchen and don't be so dramatic. Or maybe do be so dramatic so I can call you our little drama queen headmistress!” Kiwan jested, to which Lenka just stuck her tongue out at him in response before turning around to face the great doors. “That'a girl, go get em champ!” Kiwan cheered as he punched the air with his fist. With a determined nod back at Kiwan, Lenka slipped through the doors of the sparring hall to view her father kneeling at the center of the elevated sparring floor. Eyes closed in calm meditation, Radik wore a simple grey yukata with a black wrap. He had even forgone shoes during his habitual meditation. Her father’s absorption in his tranquil exercise afforded Lenka the moment to observe her father for a moment. She hadn’t seen him in over two years. The young woman had rarely spoken to him after her mother had passed away. But, here he was, looking the same as always and keeping his sharp mind calm. “Hi, father,” Lenka greeted in somewhat of a tremulous voice as she approached closer. Light blue eyes similar to the young woman’s opened slowly and peered back at her. “Hello, my dear.” Radik replied gently as his keen eyes surveyed his daughter who had returned upon received his request. “You are looking well,” Radik added as he gently rose from his kneeling position without any struggle or exertion. Just reminding Lenka that though he was older, Radik continued to be the epitome of health and was a fearsome opponent. But without another word or hint of his motives, Radik let out a firebolt loose from his right hand. Lenka gasped as she just had a moment to jump to her left as the flare of hot fire whooshed right by her. Luckily she had cut her hair slightly shorter or Lenka might have suffered burnt ends. The sparring hall wasn’t generally used for elemental dueling as those using ground manipulations could very well destroy the castle. However, the room was coated with a fire retardant that protected all the wood from catching on fire. The fireball Radik had let loose struck the doors, sizzled, and quickly died out without leaving so much as a little burnt mark. Heart racing at her father’s antics, Lenka was now ready for his next move as she felt his right arm draw power from his body and concentrate it into his palm. Closing her eyes, the young woman extended both of her hands forward. With her mind, Lenka seeked out Radik’s point of power production and met it with her own; neutralization. Inhaling deeply in concentration, she felt her father’s power die down as his own ability was diffused for just a moment. Exhaling, Lenka opened her eyes to see that once again Radik surveyed and gave an affirmative nod in her direction. “I’m pleased to see that your power has not waned,” Her father finally remarked. The comment just made Lenka wonder what thoughts were inside Radik’s head at the moment. What was he planning this time?Meanwhile, Kiwan was already heading across the estate. The young man had decided to chow down at the dining hall. He was famished! And Kiwan enjoyed company, so off to the student dining hall! Little did he know that Lenka was being tested with fireball practice as a welcome back from her father. But, he would nearly become deaf from listening to the account later...

Ami stopped dead in her tracks when she heard Professor Aristotle’s tell-tale yowl. Turning around, she instinctively took a step back. While she was sure that the old cat did not make a habit of looking up his student’s skirts, the girl always found herself ensure that he could not approach her too closely lest he be tempted to look upwards. It would probably greatly offend her teacher if he knew she thought like that but it was impossible to let go of. Regardless, the young student did her best to reign the coldness that was seeping from her as he approached.
“Yes, Professor?” she asked flatly, her gaze falling on him. What did he want with her? She had only just got here so it was not like she had done anything wrong. Perhaps he just desired to welcome her back to her second year. That thought pleased her a little but her usual pessimism reminded her how badly her first year had gone and that the teacher was likely coming to warn her that she needed to shape up this year or there would be trouble. Feeling her chest tighten at the thought, she closed her eyes for a moment before sighing and waiting to hear what he had to say.
A familiar clicking pulled her attention away from the feline professor. Her gaze slid upwards to look back the way she had come. She felt her chest tighten a little more as she realised the other teacher was now approaching also. “Good morning, Professor Kralova.” Nodding at the women, she looked back down at the feline standing around her legs. “Did you need me for something, Professor Aristotle?” she asked formally, her violet eyes not betraying a hint of the anxiety surging through her body.
*
Celina idly tossed her water bottle up into the air with her left hand before catching it again. It was actually harder to do so when it was empty, the water made it heavy and stopped it from bouncing. Sighing softly, she put her first foot on the stairs upwards before pausing when she heard one of the foyer doors opening. She recognised Kiwan as soon as he walked out into the entrance hall. Smiling softly, she gave him a small wave. “Good morning,” said the girl cheerfully. His mind appeared to be distracted however, probably with food, and he immediately walked outside.
Shaking her head, she the young professor decided not to take it personally. Today was going to be very frenetic and it was likely she would accidentally ignore someone during this day. Pulling her towel around her neck, she tugged on it slightly before beginning her slow ascent up to the second floor. For some reason, this little incident had helped her relax. She did not quite understand but perhaps knowing those who had been here for a very long could still get wrapped up in their own problems gave her a little comfort.
Her stomach rumbled slightly. Shaking her head, the girl decided to pick up the pace of her ascent. A shower beckoned to her but the hunger demanded to be sated first. It was slightly against her routine but it was no big deal. Schedules were important to her but swapping the order of two things hardly broke her timing.

Tsuki arrived at the Enchantment Academy on a floating cloud. Well, she had ran part of the way - which wasn't too bad, really - until she could find a secluded enough spot to raise up a cloud without attracting attention. Once she did, she jumped on it and rode it, sailing on her nimbus-skateboard, knowing exactly where to go. It was her second year, after all. Upon arriving, having taken the shortcut across the river, she kicked off the cloud like any skateboarder would and stuffed her hands into her jeans, her white pashmina fluttering in the slight breeze it made. Her headphones were in one ear, but her other ear was listening actively for people around her. It wasn't something you stopped doing, even when you were off the streets. You could never let your guard down. Ever. She headed toward the dormitories, unpacked the one duffel bag she brought, and exited rather briefly, having little to unpack. As she closed and locked the door to her room, she realized something with a gasp and proceeded to smack her own forehead. 'We forgot to arrange a meeting place!' she thought, shocked by her own forgetfulness. She was supposed to meet up with Maria to show her around, but in the excitement of it all, they had forgotten one crucial detail. And Tsuki was impractical in few things: one of which was that she did not carry a cell phone. 'Well, no point fussing about it, time to figure out where she is or... where she would be...' After a moment's thought, her eyes lit up. 'The bar! Of course! she thought, and went off happily, knowing that, even if Maria didn't know where the bar was, as soon as she found out there was one, she would. She entered the bar, ordered a simple glass of water, and took a seat near the window, enjoying the emptiness of the place so early in the day and the ambient music in her ear. ~ Maria made it to campus breathless, having caught an early bus and then running down the private road. At first, her insistence on being early - packing the previous night, waking up early, catching the first bus - came from not wanting to miss meeting Tsuki. But when the bus had finally pulled up to the castle and began its drive across the river, a new passion awakened in Maria. "THIS is the place Tsuki was telling me about?? Wow wow wow!!!" she had whooped. She had gotten some looks and giggles, but she had not noticed, too enamored by the sight, by the possibility of adventure. She tried not to get too excited, and as flames started to spark around her hands, she forced herself to calm down and listen to her music, knowing that a flame inside a metal container full of people was something she very much needed to avoid. Moving past the guarded checkpoint, she struggled to make it inside, a part of why she was so breathless. Between a backpack, a rolling bag, two bags on either arm, and her purse, she was making slow progress, struggling across the courtyard. Suddenly, a beautiful woman walked by with long white hair, tan skin, a black sporty bikini, and black flip flops. She was carrying a white towel and a water bottle, so perhaps she had just come from the river? The sight of her made Maria drop one of her shoulder bags and flush crimson. While trying to pick up the bag, two more fell, and so on. By the time she got everything together, the beautiful woman was no longer in sight. She screwed up her face in frustration and narrowed her eyes, cursing the fates. 'Ah, well... next time, then.' Someone who had noticed her struggling from a distance had come up to help her and directed her toward the dormitories. Upon arriving, she shut the door and threw everything on the floor. She reached to unpack and felt her stomach growl fiercely, so she decided to head over to the dining hall, which the person had also been kind enough to tell her was only two floors below. She grabbed a plate of food, most of it resembling - or at least trying to resemble - food that reminded her of home. In a daze, thinking of home, of the school, of the girl in the bikini, she ate, drifting off into her daydreams... [[ OOC: I'll fix up the post and write dorm descriptions later, wanted to get these up ASAP. ]]
