It was familiar, that careful stillness that held Stormy up, and Evan was briefly, treacherously, disappointed to see it. Sure, she had just tried to kill him a minute ago, but she had been strong and sure while doing it. He wished he could find a way to give her that confidence on a regular basis--without the part where she was also crazy and homicidal towards other Hunters, of course--but it would have to wait. Maybe it would come in time.
"Don't worry about it," Evan replied, more cavalierly than he felt, lowering his weapon but not dismissing it. "Freak out about it later. In the meantime, let's go do some horrible things to some things that deserve it, okay?"
