Dragonfly looked at the mare for a moment. He guessed that she didn't get it really. Though she was right about the flowers being alive! Just not about them having feelings... Or at least as far as he knew the flowers didn't have feelings.
"Well, no. I'm not really a Prince. Though with these wings I guess I'm pretty close to something like a Prince!" He puffed himself out and spread his wings as wide as he could. He knew it was something that others seemed to really like. His twin and himself had quite the unique pair of wings as far as small ones go.
"Though I'm sure that the flowers are alive. Just don't think that they feel anything..."

Rainata walked around looking at his wings as he fluffed them out... "those are pretty, Mine are not so big" she fluttered the small ones around her ear and butt
"As for feelings, how do you know they don't? they can't exactly tell us. We just assume because we do not know that they simply don't feel. Truth might be much different than we believe. "
she looked at him innocently, with an honesty on her face... "What if a human said you had no feelings? because they do not understand us... "
Dragonfly puffed up further about the comment on his wings being pretty. He certainly took pride in his wings, even if he wasn't actually able to fly with them. They were something that only himself and his sister possessed. Something that no one could take away from them no matter how hard they tried. That made them something to be treasured forever. Then he smiled at her as she spoke of her own wings. "Who says that they have to be big to be nice? Yours have pretty feathers and mine are insect wings." He watched her wings move. Thinking on it, she probably couldn't lift herself with her wings either! It was a rather sad thing to have wings and not be able to use them to their full potential.
He thought on her comment for a moment before deciding the best way to respond. "I guess that they could have feelings. We wouldn't be able to understand them because they have no way to understand or communicate with us." He looked at her for a moment. "Perhaps someone will invent a way to communicate with the plants? That would certainly be interesting, wouldn't it?"
Dragonfly took her next words a bit to heart. He couldn't say he had actually interacted with a human before. His sister and himself had a tendency to try and stay away when they could. Though the human's not really understanding was exactly the reason that they tried to stay away. "Yes... It would hurt to hear such a thing said to you. Especially when you know it's not true!"

Rainata sniffed another flower, but decided not to eat it. Instead she looked up and inquired "sister?".... she was curious to know about this pony of her same stature. Usually the kin she encountered were MUCH taller, sometimes made fun of her... lack of height. "you know your family? I don't know mine, when I came out of my basket, I was all alone. Adeyoha found me crying, and taught me stuff... but she isn't my family... unless you count that we are so close we should have been?"
Dragonfly watched the other as she sniffed at the flower. He was surprised that she didn't eat it up! She certainly seemed to enjoy eating up all the flowers she sniffed at. As she looked up at him, he was rather surprised by the look on her face. Was it all that strange to have a sister after all? He looked at her a bit awe struck.
"Is it a strange thing to have a sister? I think a lot of others I've met have siblings..." He thought on it for a second, "Though not as many twins... We are pretty identical after all..."
He listened to her as she spoke. Kind of understanding what she was saying about the bigger Soquili seeming to be unkind to the smaller ones sometimes. Though he certainly played enough tricks on bigger Soquili to know that he sometimes deserved the things that he was told by them. They were never anything that would hurt them, just harmless little things like he had played on this little mare. It was always just fun to see the reactions that they have to various stories. He didn't have anything against anyone he has played tricks on, he usually tries to make friends with them when he is done with his tricks and stories. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't.
He looked down at the flowers as she spoke of never knowing her own family. Never would he be able to imagine not knowing his sister. They were so connected and together at all times. Even when they were apart they were still together. They always had each other. Never should someone be alone. When he heard that someone had been with her, Dragonfly looked up at her and smiled. It was good that she at least had SOMEONE.
"I think it's good to have someone in general. Someone who can look after you and be with you in all the hard times." He thought for a moment, "It certainly doesn't have to be family. After all, there are plenty of Soquili who are very well bonded with their familiars and don't know their own family." He came closer to her, "Your family will always be whoever holds you in their hearts and never lets you go."
He trotted around her happily. Being blood didn't mean family to him, even with his twin sister being the most dear thing to his heart. Anyone who has a darling connection, blood or not, is someone you can call family. After all, there are plenty of blood that he has heard of that go against each other and fight each other. Holding each other in the lowest regard. It was always something he was displeased with hearing, but something that sometimes couldn't be avoided. He wondered a bit if her family had been as such.
Though she didn't seem to hold any kind of malice toward others... Or much in the way of thoughts that complex... Not that he didn't like her. She just seemed a bit airy.

"what are those faces you are making?" she looked at him in confusion, "Ade taught me how to read faces.... but yours move so fast" she watched his face... "that last one I caught.... and judging by the fact that it passed over your face while you were looking at me... I can only guess it was about me" she sighed.... "If you've already grown bored with me it's fine... most do... I'm not exactly the most intelligent girl out there... " she began to wander off towards the forest "tell your flower friends good bye for me... " ... she said somewhat sadly and softly over her shoulder.
Dragonfly quickly made his way back in front of the mare. He certainly didn't want her to think he disliked her. That was not the case for sure! He liked the little mare, even if she was a bit on the airy side. She seemed like a nice girl too! He liked talking to her. She liked flowers and he liked flowers, it certainly seemed like they could get along perfectly fine! The thought of her thinking she was anything less than a nice mare was certainly not something he wanted to be responsible for.
"Wait! I never said anything like that! And certainly never would!" He stood directly in front of her, not letting her past for any reason. "My face was because I can't believe that anyone would be surprised about someone having a sibling. I've met a lot of others who have siblings. Maybe one day you'll get to have some siblings too? Siblings are fun after all!" He smiled at her and trotted a circle around her. He didn't want her to be mad at him because of his surprise over the siblings.
"I like talking to you a lot! And I like watching you eat all those flowers. It amazes me how many flowers you can eat you know!" He found a rather large flower and placed it in front of her. He considered it a peace offering of sorts. Though he wasn't sure what she would think of the flower. Or if she would even like the flower. Did different flowers have different tastes? It wasn't something he had thought of before. He wondered if she ever thought about that.

Rainata paused, and turned to look at the curious new character she had found. " I do not have any siblings that I know of, I am not sure I want to. The encounters I've seen with siblings is trouble. They fight a lot, and usually eachother. And if someone plays a trick on one sibling, the others jump in to help them and WOE on the person who didn't realize they were a herd!" She looked at the flower, almost analysing it and nosed it back to him... "have you ever tried one of these? they are most delicous!" It seemed all was forgiven for the moment she was that type of mare, easy to forgive... " tell me about your sibling, what is she like? is she trouble like you? or is she different?"
