Preacher grinned when that guard came up. The girl was learning. She needed to start from the beginning, get some strength training, some basics. But if Lenore learn to harness her light build and became fast and mobile... well, nothing was better than a target no one could hit.

She let her fist get caught by that guard, but her free arm came around to punch Lenore in her arm. Dancing back, she let out a hoot. "Good! You're a-learning! How about ya try ta hit me next? Jus' aim wherever."

Preacher twisted and deflected the small girl's blow with her forearm. A cloud of dust rose as her foot scraped along the ground. In the briefest of moments, Preacher's amber eyes studied Lenore. If she had angled it right, that punch still would have hurt. As it was, Preacher could see the potential in Lenore; it was just woefully untapped. She was an innocent, had never needed to fight before; it wasn't expected of her. With that punch off angle, it was easy to swing her own fist around and tap the pale girl lightly on one cheek. She didn't punch her there - this was just a warning of what could have happened. What would have happened had they actually been fightin with intent to truly harm.

"Oi, you slavering whorebeasts! Sparring over!" Santos drew out the syllables like a bugle's call, belting out the command so that every trainee heard. It never failed to throw Preacher a little off balance. Straightening up, she threw another grin at Lenore. "Hey, iffin ya want, I kin mebbe try n' teach you some basics? Like outta class?"

Preacher patted Lenore briefly on the shoulder. The girl seemed, if not eager, at least willing to learn. It was definitely a start. "Dun close your eyes next time, though." She turned and began to walk off; Preacher had barn duty next... again. Ugh. She turned to call out over one shoulder. "Just let me know when ya want lessons. I'm always afree to help ya." With a wave, she was off, jogging to the stables.
