He figured Bass might want to know how he managed to end up back here at the Tower.
Proto was doing his best to keep the cracking out of his voice, but it was hard. His core was aching, and right now he couldn't tell if it was from it's usual problems or the fact that Bass was, quite literally, a wreck.
Maybe it was both.
The General did have to smile a bit as Bass grabbed onto his scarf. That was....cute?
"Can I get you something? E-tank, maybe? I think I'll leave the new limbs to Wily..."
He wasn't going to break it to him just yet that Crash thought they'd have to build them from scratch.

He listened and let his ears flick. Well, the one ear not charred. "...E-tank sounds good?" He drank those like Audio drank water. Bass couldn't help it though. They were good and just... helped him a lot. Slowly he flicked his tail, letting it thump against the table before gripping that scarf a bit tighter.
If Proto left he would be alone here. Normally that would be good, but... Right now that didn't sound good to him. Being alone was bad.
"Just hurry ba..........ck...." And his voice cut out then and Bass made a screwed up face. Or an even more of a screwed up face.
Great. Perfect. Dammit. He just gave Proto a nudge to go find Wily. He wanted to be fixed. Being in pieces wan'st comfortable.

If he had a heart, it'd be breaking right now to hear Bass struggle with speaking so much. Proto made his own face, it looked quite like he wanted to cry. But, excess fluid leaking out his eyes would be vastly -uncomfortable- and thus he didn't let that happen. Instead he unwrapped his scarf from his neck and moved to wrap it around Bass'.
There. He wouldn't be -completely- alone now. At least he would have Hope's scarf.
That done, Proto darted out the door to go try and find Wily. And some E-tanks for Bass.

Bass's chest grew uncomfortable as that scarf was wrapped around him and he closed his eyes and brought that scarf up around his nose.
Damn it, he felt like he was going to cry.
Stupid Proto.
Stupid.... Everything. Shouldn't be feeling like this because of a scarf.
