"They will. I promise." Mercy assured Lapin once more and it was a promise she knew would be kept, Ironforge was hard to train with, he stood for no nonsense and she had struggled in the beginning but over time she had come to realize that for all his gruff and demanding ways he truly did care for them all - and his demand for perfection and dedication was just another way he was trying to keep them all as safe as he could.
"Try to sleep." She encouraged Lapin "We should all try and rest, tomorrow will likely be a long and trying day."
Kolli did his best to ignore Lapins looks, he was sure that Mercy had decided the little mare was just jealous and Kolli hoped that to be the case, however even if she was suspicious for some reason she had no proof and he only had to uphold his charade for a little while longer. he would be so happy to have this assignment over with - no more listening to Mercy blather on about her training or be inundated with the herd and it's goody four hoof ways. It had been a struggle.
But - it would be worth it, when he delivered the tan and pink mare to Pirata he would be rewarded for all of his hard work and all of this tedious irritating acting he had had to do.
"That's a good idea." He agreed with Mercy "Even if they run all night I don't think they will be here before morning - we best sleep while we can." He added in a perfectly reasonable tone.

Lapin couldn't help but feel a moment of panic when she found out that the nights wouldn't even reach them until morning even if they hurried all night. It felt unacceptable that it would take so long. Who knows what would happen to the herd in the time. They might even arrive too late! That wasn't the right thinking and Lapin gave her head a bit of a shake to clear those thoughts. She didn't want to rest, didn't want to close her eyes and lose track of where Kolli was. Lapin still didn't trust the stallion one bit.
But her body was still exhausted from her long run here and she knew that she needed rest. Letting out a reluctant sigh Lapin moved close to Aunt Mercy, laying down so that her body was pressed into the mares leg, a sure sign that she wanted to be as close to Mercy as possible to soak up the comfort of her present in these trying times. She cast a final glance at Kolli, fixing him with an unhappy gaze before lowering her head to her front legs. "I don't want to sleep." She mumbled but already she could feel her eyelids drooping and it would only take a few moments longer before the small mare was asleep.
