"M'fine." He mumbled, not really running from Melvin much anymore. He continued digging around, sulking quite obviously. Perhaps he felt as if he was being bullied.

He moved a bit closer, hesitantly, as if guaging a dog as to whether it would turn and bite, and slowly reached out.
He gently moved the hair aside to check where the rock hit. All that force and it missed the bug. He parted the hair, checking his head for any scaring. It was just a nick, but one that Melvin caused. At least with sparring, both parties knew they were going to get hurt and could defend themselves and prepare. They acknowledged they would hurt each other. This time - this time he just assaulted the man.
He took a wipe and slowly reached up. "I don't want any of the bug stuff to get into where it hit. Okay?" He warned. Even if Hunters couldn't get sick normally, that wasn't to say they couldn't get sick from Insanity creatures and open wounds. They weren't invincible after all. If they were, Life wouldn't have a reason for an Infirmary.
It was a real pity that Otto's hair was slick with bug goo. Melvin doubted he'd get this close to the blonde again, and it was one of those rare opportunities.
You want to sniff him.
No! I want to know what shampoo he uses. That's completely different.
Still creepy - and that's coming from me.

Too bad for Melvin. Normally, Otto's hair smelled fantastic. Missed opportunity.
"M'kay.." Otto grumbled, somewhat calmed down. Melvin was at least seeing to his dirty work. He could give him back points for that.

He wiped the spot clean, trying not to rub, but wanting to get the hair that would no doubt fall against the spot. Normally for a kid who's hair was always falling over his face and wearing bagging clothes, he at least had clean hair. He wasn't one of those younger people who looked as if they got out of bed - well, at least not without a reason like today. Today they all just got out of bed.
It was just his luck that Otto had gotten gooped on beforehand. Then again, if he hadn't, he wouldn't be touching his hair now. What failed luck he had.
Once it was clean, he reached out and untangled the mandible out of his hair before stepping back.
He had gotten it, and he breathed out with a sigh of relief. Finally.
You should apologize.
For what? He's not yelling at me and he can't prove anything. He'll only hate me if I tell him.

He turned, glancing to see if maybe he could spot another tablet in hopes Saliva would let it go.
Saliva started. The sound was a mix of throat-singing and Saliva clearing out her throat of mucus. It was harsh hacking and some sort of language he didn't know. It was - downright - DISGUSTING.
And it was in his head.
He touched his hair, gritting his teeth. Oh god...she just kept going!!!

He looked at the back of Otto's head. Was he done? He glanced to see if there was even one spot clean on Otto's head, but sadly there wasn't. There was no point to linger. Dirty hair served no purpose to him.
He stepped away, covering the bug piece in the wipe and stepped back. He debated putting the bug and wipe in his pocket, but then looked around him. The entire place was a mess. Just death and garbage. Still, it was a grave. He put the trash in his pocket and started looking again.
A hand gripped his head as Saliva continued on the second verse, and he tried to block it. Yet, as he started to try, Saliva sensed his attempts and went even louder.
"..S........s...." Oh god now the chorus was just a lot of preparation for loogies, with wet nasal inhales!!
No. he couldn't go on like this. It had to stop!
".......sorry."

He'd known it was Melvin. Who else was out there? The only other options were crumbling tower or nasty prankster horsemen. Melvin being the perp was the better option. So when he'd gone and actually apologized, Otto was a bit relieved.

Melvin clammed up, gritting his teeth again. At least the singing stopped.
Kneeling, he went to check on something sticking out of the ground.
"....something........in your hair." He mumbled before pulling the thing out and seeing that it was half of a ribcage. He quickly dropped it and stood up, stepping back form the body part and wiping his hands on his handkerchief.

"Yanno what woulda worked better? Tellin' me I had somethin' stuck in my hair." Otto grumbled, feeling that spot get sore again just from remembering it. "I'd have one less ache to worry bout. Now I'm dirty, tired, miserable and I got a headache."

"Yeah, well..." He paused. That, probably would have worked better than chucking a rock.
Saliva was laughing now and repeating 'moron' over and over again between gasping breathes.
"...Well.." He said, trying to gain momentum for an argument. "It's not like you would have listened to me anyways." Yeah, there was his defense.
He went back to checking the ground.

"Seriously?" Otto was taken aback by just how stupid someone in Life could be.
Then again, there was Robert....
Otto had no words for Melvin. Maybe he just really wanted to chuck a rock at him. That made more sense. It also kind of hurt his feelings. Otto pouted, shifting away from Melvin now.

"Wh-Well you don't like me so I thought ......you'd just call it stupid. .....not do it." And outright refusing to get the bug out and be made aware that it was there prevented him in any way of taking it out.
Most people would consider that thing a stupid request, wouldn't they?
And then what would he be in turn for asking it?

He sighed. "Didn't mean for it to even go that hard." It wasn't like he ever threw hard in his life. He didn't even practice sports. Maybe it was the hunter strength he kept forgetting about.
