Proto calmed down and Bass calmed down. It was a ******** sniper and he was wondering just how the hell the other got in here. Squinting at the helmeted one, Bass rubbed his eyes and took a deep breath before watching Proto and then smirked.

"Yeah. E-tanks. ..And some E-pops." Because he really wanted E-pops. Damn it, he blamed Proto and his stupid blue ears for that.

Even if he knew where that stuff was, there was no way Joe was coming back in here. If he just left them to their eh....whatever they were doing, surely they'd forget he was ever there. Really he couldn't believe the ruse had worked thus far. Man, he must really be getting good at this. Puffing up slightly with his self-inflated ego he shot the pair a cocky grin beneath his helmet. "Yes, sirs!" He turned with a swish of his tail and retreated back into the hall.

Proto waited until Joe was long gone before turning back to look at Bass.

"He's not coming back, you know."
That was all the explanation he was getting too. He wouldn't blow Joe's cover......unless Bass -asked-. Then maybe he would.

"...So I'll go grab some E-tanks."
Bass wanted them after all, and...well Proto was -exhausted- still and could likely sleep through the day. But...first he'd get Bass what he wanted.

Bass shrugged. He figured, honestly. Snipers who wandered into the general's rooms often didn't come back. Oh well. When Joe left, Bass just flopped backwards and pulled a pillow under his head and let his eyes close. "I don't have any in the room," he stated honestly. Swallowing a bit, Bass peeked out at Proto and nudged him.

"You go and do it. I'm just.." He shrugged a deep breath before yawning again. "Or not. Whatever."

Yeah...he was gone. Proto had headed out the door to retrieve some E-tanks. Quite frankly he gave zero shits if anyone saw him in his boxers right now. He just...needed to retrieve those tanks, and then crash back into bed.

So damn tired.

A few minutes later the red general had made his way back to Bass' room. This time he shut the damn door behind him before heading over to the bed. He had a bag with him, one filled with E-tanks. There'd be enough to stash away for later.

He set the bag down on the bed, before moving to curl in the corner of it. It looked like he was trying to take up as little room as possible.

Still so friggin tired.

Bass squinted at Proto when he returned and took up the tiniest little space and he just snorted. Slowly, Bass reached out for the general and tugged him to stretch out, and reached for an E-tank at the same time. Well... Proto's E-tank. He sipped from it after a moment and gave a sigh before nuzzling into the other's neck and pulled him closer. The light was on.

Looking around, Bass grabbed something off a table near by and hit the switch to turn the light back off and sighed. There we go. Better.

"Just.. lay down."

Maybe he should have drank more before laying down. Perhaps then he'd feel better? ...Oh well, too late now. Proto gave a slight whine as he was tugged, if only because right now he just didn't want to move. Soon enough though they were back in the darkness and he could fully relax.

...Bass nuzzling into his neck was helping that quite a bit actually.

"...and sleep."
Yes. Lay down and sleep. That's really all they needed to do today.

And shut up. His ears totally weren't flushing or anything. No. Wily had just...messed up the color!

One of Bass's hands came up to tug Proto's glasses off and he put them down on the table again before nuzzling again. Damn it. More lazy day. Stupid Sniper. Why was he even here? They weren't supposed to be allowed on the upper levels. He was getting more and more annoyed with it, honestly. Thinking about it.

He let out an annoyed growl and just clutched the other bot a little tighter and let his tail fluff and flick annoyed as he just closed his eyes.

".....I want that Sniper's name later," he grumbled out. If Bass was paying attention he would have said something about those tiny little ears being flushed, but he was thinking.

He was tired, or he would have likely growled over anyone touching his glasses. Still, at least it was dark in the room so it didn't matter top much that Bass just yanked them off.

Yes, what a nice lazy day, just going to drift back to....

Damnit.

Proto let out a rather indignant squeak as he was clutched a little tighter. Well...this could be interesting.
"I don't think you really want to know who that Sniper is. ...I know. But..."

"...Later. Too tired to get pissed off," he murmured, puncuating his words with a yawn. He didn't have to yawn, being a bot and all, but he was just not wanting to get mad. Mad was bad.

...He was so tired that was funny and he almost wanted to laugh because it was stupid and a rhyme. He sighed a little and just let out a grunt and just stroked along Proto's chest and stomach a bit more, lazily, just wanting to do something over and over to let his mind calm down. "...Sleep... Mm."

Proto was purring, by this point. It was involuntary but not really unwanted. His ears were still a little flushed, but overall he was settled down and quite content.

"Yeah...later."
Much later, when Proto felt like he could be -active- again. It was going to be quiet some time. For now he would quickly fall asleep, his descent into recharge marked by the purrs slowly dying off.

It was only when Proto's purring died off did he actually let himself drift to sleep mode to recharge. They were both pretty depleted right now. He seriously felt like nothing was going to go right once they were both up and active. For now, though, Bass just basked in the cool (which he couldn't feel) room and the closeness of the other.

There were going to be more E-tanks when he woke up and then once he got the energy maybe some yelling at someone, or something or other.
