Snap was humming with energy but as the whips glowed and seemed to writhe on their own, Cee's aim and quality of technique meant the next quickly snapped attacks found no purchase on Ever. "No 'parently accordin to twitter yer junk connects straight to yer sooooul, HAHAHA!" Apparently the disappointment of missing could be covered with island gossip. She, yes, apparently wanted to gossip while fighting.Could it be a strategy or is was the blasé attitude all she had? "Them people are ******** crazy on ther. I think it's hilarious they even got twitter..its random as ********. Now all I need is some candy cruuuuush! HP: 25/40 Dmg: 0 Charge: 0/3

"I don't get it, I guess. The twitter thing." He considered her for a moment, and the apparently useless whips, taking a moment to catch his breath -- and then, finally, gave in to Amory, his own weapon remarkably inert as it scraped against her shield. Nothing. It seemed to do nothing. No flash of light or glow of runes, only Ever tense, waiting for her return attack. HP: 28/40 DMG: 0 Charges: 0/3

Cee felt a strange flush for a moment, an unnerving feeling that caused er to bite back a gasp. Her cheeks filled with an unfamiliar flush but in immediate response the feeling was fought off from her fingertips up: Snap. With no visual cue, the woman had no idea that Ever had used his charge. The unnerving sensation was further shaken off by her throwing a quick whip snap, something to slice instead of grasp. "It's just stupid.." She grumbled before getting her slight smile back. "Twitters fer all the s**t people won't balls up to yell in each others faces." She circled him now, smiling but predatory. "It's fun." HP: 25/40 Dmg: 4 Charge: 1/3

And now Ever got it, too, like a scrape up his spine, maybe just a touch too pleasant. His sword caught across her side and then, bolstered by the Bite even if it didn't replenish his shield, Ever swung back the other way to catch her again. He was grinning as he hopped back, and maybe it was a bit savage. More than it needed to be for a simple spar. "I'd rather yell up in peoples' faces, consequences or no." Another step back, which he immediately regretted: it would leave him open, perhaps, to further attacks. But it was too late now. "I've been punched before for saying my piece. It's usually worth it." HP: 24/40 DMG: 9 Charges: 0/3 [round 1/3]

Cee caught the slash and felt it strongly for once. It was like Snap was punishing her for her lack of defense. For that second the woman forgot any annoyance with Ever and poured her anger towards her weapon. <********!" Her snarl was immediate, arms whipping downward angrily. It looked like the tantrum of a child more than a warrior with a deadly weapon. "My ******** b***h WEAPON. ********: 16/40 Dmg: 0 Charge: 1/3

The edge of a hissy fit left Ever startled -- jumping, and then jumping back, his stiletto raised in self-defense. It took him a moment to realize that Cee wasn't mad at him, or at least wasn't projecting her anger toward him. But in that time, he kept his weapon up, defensive, nervous, eyeing her sideways. "...is she ******** with you?" He asked, eyebrows knitted, confused. DEFENDING FOR 1HP: 24/40 DMG: 0 Charges: 0/3 [round 2/3]

"Everyone's like 'oh my weapons so ******** chatty and annoyin' but mine says ******** nothing and she's like this.. " Cee motioned with her hands, making claws and indicating a weight on her shoulders, "this thing hangin on me all the ******** time. An'then I ******** up or whatever and she ******** with me.. makin it hurt more or less whenever she ******** feels like it!" Her face was flush with anger and her posture twitchy. Cee snapped the whips downward again in frustration and they probably would have been nice strikes if they'd been directed at her opponent and not the ground. HP: 16/40 Dmg: 0 Charge: 1/3

Ever had to process that idea: a silent presence on his shoulders, just waiting for him to mess up. It was an alarming thought, maybe, even to someone who's weapon spouted gibberish in the back of his mind half the time, a weapon who talked to himself. And those were the good times. So he considered, swinging at her in a brief way, glancing, distracted. "Amory's chatty as ********," was all he said, without bringing up more than that. HP: 24/40 DMG: 1 Charges: 0/3 [round 3/3]

The strike got a hiss of pain, surprised, and then he lashed back at her -- and it was probably bad to take such a blow personally, especially when it hadn't hurt that much, but in the moment he didn't think about that: just twisted his stiletto to swing the pommel into her side, instead. "Well, if you'd rather chatty, you can listen to him quote some book written by monsters." He swung a second time, and missed; alas. "Or deal with him suggesting you stab yourself to see how it feels." HP: 22/40 DMG: 3 Charges: 1/3

Cee hissed to be struck but used the close quarters to throw in a bit of her own flair. That, of course, meant some perfectly manicured nails to the face. The whips just were no good this close and she was definitely feeling catty. "At least it don't feel like CLAWS on yer HEART!" She shuddered uncontrollably because, yes, that was a constant for her. The clamping claw around her core that she couldn't shake. "Like if you move too far in one direction it's gonna git crushed." ---- HP: 12/40 Dmg: 3 Charge: 3/3

He winced, head turning, and immediately twisted to catch her around the waist -- because if they were playing that game, Ever was a great deal bigger than her, even skinny as a rail, and if he could knock her to the ground, all he'd have to do was hold her there. Her arms wouldn't be able to reach. And so he worked to knock her off balance. "Get over it." And this wasn't as light, teasing as it had been: this was just the fact of their lives. Cee was not hard to encircle, especially for someone lanky like Ever. She was a tiny little thing and found herself quickly close and off balance. The young woman stumbled backwards, heading for the ground and landing on her back. "Oh ********.. OFF..." She hissed and bit into his shoulder and stayed there. The stiletto was out of play, now: instead Ever made a pained sound and then sat on her to keep her down, exactly how Cami had held him down at the end of their little spar. He flicked her cheek, a quick flick of one finger, not enough to really hurt and frowned at her. "Your shield busted yet? Say uncle." HP: 17/40 DMG: 3 Charges: 3/3

Cee practically threw a tantrum at being pinned and flicked. It was mostly the flick that pissed her off. Her face had reddened in embarassed annoyance and her tiny little legs flailed and kicked. Snap's whips were limp in her hands, the metal melded to be rounded and decidedly undeadly. Retreat.Snap actually speaking to her was enough to get Cee to stop flailing, though her peeved expression remained as her body went limp. "I ain't dead yet but she says it's over." Grumpgrump. At least she was cute.
