He did his best to smile back confidently, but he knew a bit of nervousness got through. It was just one day out of so many, surely nothing bad would happen on this one? Dameon gave a nod before starting off in the direction of the clearing. "I'd appreciate that." He kept an arm around her waist as they walked, there for constant support if she so needed to. The woman after all looked about to pop at any moment.

That, and he just simply liked being near her. "Have you thought up any names?" He spoke softly, lovingly, back on the excitement of new babies. Their kids weren't always perfect, but he was so proud of each of them. They raised great children together.

Starry nodded, leaning into him once his arm was around her. It felt nice having his warmth near her as they walked. She had missed it so much while he was gone.

"Mmm.. I've been playing around a bit with the name Siofra.." She looked up at him, glad for being so short in moments like these. "Have you thought of anything?" Three more names were probably a great idea. Guardians only knew how many children she was carrying right now and it was probably a good idea to have a name for at least two girls or two boys. "I don't have any ideas for a boys name though. Nothing has come to me yet."

"Siofra...that's a beautiful name. Siofra and Cressida, two beautiful girls." If the baby was a girl of course. Boys names seemed to be tougher. "As for a boy...perhaps something like Tholan...or Ignel." It would be nice to have another son, as Shageki and Junior would be excellent role models.

Starry smiled, "Now wait a minute, you want to have two daughters named Cressida?" She teased, elbowing him gently.

"I like Tholan. It sounds like a very tough boy's name." Secretly, Starry was hoping for another daughter. Having Cressy after two boys was a blessing, even if she was a bit more volatile than her brothers were. And having another girl would mean nice evenly split numbers. Two boys, two girls. Oh but then the grandchildren weren't even. Why should she even care about that kind of thing?

"Ignel is a very nice and strong name too."

At her tease he laughed and gave her a gentle squeeze. "It's such a beautiful name, why not?" He continued with the gag, just beaming at the fun atmosphere between them. Starry was no doubt his true love. There could never be another pae to replace her. The fact that after so many years they still felt like newlyweds was proof of that. "But if it's two girls...I'm not sure. Maybe something to do with the sun, since Shageki's name has meaning with stars."

She laughed, "I don't think Cressy would be happy to share her name Love." Starry couldn't help but think of Cressy's reaction if they had another daughter with the exact same name.

"Mmm. That would be a good idea." The blue femme turned thoughtful, wondering how they would choose a sunny name. Starry was generally pretty bad with names. Siofra was just something that had come to her in a dream one night. "Maybe Sol?" It was the only sunny name she could think of. And it sounded a lot like a boys name. It was almost a sad thought.

"Bah, Cressy is generally unhappy with most things." He continued to laugh with her before shaking his head. "She's got a sweet spot in there, she's just so guarded around everything and everyone. Maybe if we have a girl it'll help her." A sister to confide in. It was a nice thought, but Cressida being the pae she was...it wasn't something he'd hold his breath for.

"Sol?...Well, that would work certainly for another boys name...If it's a girl it would need jazzing up. Like...Solia...or...Solista....or....Sollianne..." He rubbed his free hand on his chin thoughtfully. Those names would work, but it just wasn't...perfect like Siofra, or their other kids names were. "Hmm...Or...maybe something like Sollbel? Solel?" Maybe he was onto something here. "...Soliel?"

"Soliel." She blinked, surprised. There was that little voice whispering to her saying it was the right name. Just like what happened with Siofra. Starry smiled, "Soliel. It's perfect. I hope she's as brilliantly yellow as you." A soft and happy laugh, leaning her head against his shoulder.

"Thank you for everything you've done Dame." She couldn't help but feel so extremely lucky to have a wonderful husband. And then there was that nagging pain in her lower back. Ugh, carrying around babies was a pain in the back. Literally. But this was her first time out in Guardians knew how long. There was no way she was going to mention that her back was hurting. Dame would have her sequestered back in the house if she mentioned it.

Soliel...something resonated with him when he said that, just as it seemed to with Starry. It wasn't something he'd normally think up of, but it seemed right all the same. "Siofra and Soliel then...perfect." He rested his head on top of hers, simply enjoying the moment. Fae clearing was starting to take shape on the horizon, it's magic already humming in his veins. "And I hope she has your bright eyes." Perhaps she'd be a little clone like shageki and Junior, with little points from the other parent? Or maybe he'd be unique like Cressida and throw them all for a loop?

"You've always have been my world. Every day I wake, my goal is to show you that." He knew nothing would ever take back the pain of his absence. But since he was there now, he'd dedicate his life to being there for her 100%. "I'm the luckiest pae on the island to have a mate like you." So faithful, so forgiving, so strong. He looked up to the sky as the trees gave away to the clearing. "Ahh...finally made it.

Starry blushed, "Ah if only. However they turn out, I'm sure they'll be absolutely perfect." And that was about as much as she could manage to speak before the pain in her back grew more insistent. Years of having a family taught her how to mask this sort of thing, but something told her if she opened her mouth Dame would know.

It was about the time Dame gave a contented sigh of relief at being in the clearing when she couldn't take it any longer. "Nnnn!" Tree? Nearby tree anywhere? Nope. Hard ground it is. Starry all but collapsed on the ground, barely managing to protect the precious one she was carrying. "Da-aaaaame!" This was most certainly the moment she shouldn't have been out of the house. Worst idea she had ever had. EVER.

He nodded in agreement as his eyes flicked down to look at her beautiful face. It was then that he spotted something that was troubling. A tenseness in her eyes and around her mouth. Now they had made it to the clearing, they should turn back. He sighed contently, and the blue demonic groaned in pain.

"Star?!" Before he knew it she was crumpling in his arms, leaving him grasping at her to lighten her descent at all. Her voice pierced the once peaceful air in a frantic shriek, making his mind go from worried to panicked. "Deep breaths Star! Deep breaths! It's going to be okay!" After two births, he knew what this was.

He was an idiot for letting her out of the house.

Dame gently helped the female onto her back while giving her a hand to squeeze, his steel blue eyes flicking around for something...ANYTHING to help with the delivery. But there was no water, no blankets, nothing. They were too far from home for him to carry her. "Okay Star, okay. Hold on." He let go of her hand to sprint full speed back to the forest line, grab a branch, and run back. "Okay, okay, okay. Grip this, I need my hands for the babies."

Starry remembered this feeling a little too well now that it was here. Why hadn't she seen the signs before now? Probably because she was going stir crazy and it was nice to have Dame wait on her hand and foot. What a fool she had been! And all of it, absolutely all of it was her fault. Thankfully the pain was subsiding a little bit. Just enough for her to think clearly. At least for the moment.

"Dame" She panted, looking up at him. "Dameon, look at me." It was building again, but this was more important. "This is not your fault. Don't you dare blame yourself for whatever happens" It was almost a growl, but it was necessary. If she didn't tell him that, remind him of it... Surely he was going to blame himself for letting her out of the tree.

Hands grasping the branch, she whimpered, biting back a scream. This was the worst birthing she'd experienced. Guardians this was terrible!

(I propose a time jump... here?)

As he handed her the branch, the male forced himself to stop moving to look at her. He had to get her ready for the birthing, but he knew better than to ignore her request at that growl. "...Okay love. No blame. We need to focus on this." The demonic took a deep breath and crouched down to begin the most hectic birthing yet.

OOC: TIME JUMP! ^___^

BIC: He didn't know how much time had passed. His eardrums had popped and were ringing from all the screams. Blood everywhere. They had done this twice...why was this one so different? The male lifted the crying baby girl in his shaking hands, feeling numb all over. "Star...are you okay, Star?" His voice cracked out.

Hectic wasn't even the start of it. Maniacal? Extremely gory? Traumatic. That was the word. Or at least it was for the femme. Guardians only knew how bad her mate had things since he was doing most of the scary work.

Starry grunted at Dame's question. Guardians only knew what had happened this time. Sometime during the traumatic experience she'd taken a turn for the far worse. She really needed some medical attention, but was much too weak to respond to much of anything.

"Nnn?" Green eyes flickered up to meet a worried gaze. Or at least they attempted to. Maybe she could communicate something to him to let him know how bad off she was. He would get the message though, he was always good like that. Wasn't he?

"...Star?" He repeated, his voice breaking from her response. He crawled over to beside her, holding the baby girl to him. She was pale. So very pale. The male knew this was bad, very bad, but didn't know what to do. He couldn't heal pae, nor did he know any pae who could. The healing house was days worth of journeying, and Starry was in no position to apparate. "Oh Star...it's okay."

He didn't know what to do. His eyes started filling with tears. He didn't know...what to do.

But he knew somepae who would. The male gently placed the golden haired baby against Starry. "I have to go get help Starry. So...so just relax for now, and it's going to be okay. I'll be back soon." The male softly kissed her head before backing away. He closed his eyes, and pictured the outside of his brothers cave. Rakens cave.
