"A ham biscuit it is then!" Brianna carefully wrapped one of the big, crumbly, still-steaming biscuit sandwiches in a napkin, passing it across the display, then waiting, curious, to see which of them would wind up paying for it.

Henrik was not a rich man, and he never would be. He was quite frugal, however, and saved his money as best he could. Since his home was his own, and he made much of his own food, saving was easy. He'd come to the booths with a handful of marks. Five, to be precise, and when he happened across the booth with the sweets, Henrik stopped immediately.

It was heavenly.

There was a cake with bits of cheese, crispy on top. There were rolls with plump little raisins. Rich rolls that smelled a little sweet, dusted with oats. Banana bread, dense and sweet. Pumpkin bread spiced and moist. A decadent looking coffee cake. Various muffins. There were cakes baked in paper with the sweet frosting. There were little tarts bursting with fruit. There were... there were mountains of sweets.

His mouth was watering, and suddenly the five marks he'd brought with him didn't seem like it would be enough.

"Four berry tarts and a chocolate cake in paper, please."

Oh, how he wished he'd brought more money to spend.

Rikki didn't say a word as Danny received her huge order. He just happily nibbled at his cookie and shrugged when she asked where to eat. "Maybe we can find a grassy place to sit down."

He turned to Shun before Danny could lead them off, though. "Is there anything else you want?"

Danny trailed after Shun, hefting her basket up and pointing to a nearby bench. It was wooden, but big enough for the three of them to sit on without being too disturbing. "How 'bout there?" she mused.

While she walked, she grabbed a quiche from the basket and began to chow down. "Well I don't see why else you would just go without food," Danny grumbled, unhappy that Shun wasn't accepting her hospitality. "You have to eat lots so you can grow up and be the best Commander in the walls!"

She nodded at Rikki like back me up here.

"I don't have a lot of money. I never did. Barely anyone that lives in the slums does," he grunted out. He sat on the far end of the bench, putting some distance between himself and the others. Once seated, he took a fairly sizable bite out of the biscuit first. As expected, it was delicious.

"Not everyone is so ******** privileged. Why do you think I got pissed at you the other day when you were wasting food?" he said pointedly.

Rikki had made a wise choice sitting between the twosome, otherwise Danny would have been lounged over Shun's lap. Instead, she just sagged onto Rikki, eating her quiche as she talked.

"Really? Well if you need money just come to me okay! That way you don't have to starve anymore. We have a lot of food so you'll be covered." She looked to Shun for his answer.

She also quickly added, "And it wasn't wasted, I had a lot of fun."

Elliot wrinkled his nose at the mention of getting up early, rooting in his pockets for his money. "Yeah, you and me both. I'm not an early riser by any means." As in he liked to wake up at noon whenever possible. It was a habit his parents had tried to get him to break, but...well. Elliot just really, really liked his sleep.

Counting out the proper amount of coins, he reached out to offer it to the girl before taking his purchased goods. "Thanks, and yeah, I'll be careful. I'll be sure to direct my friend over to your booth later too--I'm sure eighty-percent of your business today will come from him, and you guys are already pretty busy."

Offering her a small, polite smile, he gave a little nod of his head and turned to return to his own booth.

"You're welcome, and thanks!" Brianna laughed. "Your friend sounds like quite a character." She waved cheerfully as he left.
