Did Neomi not know what college was? Or was it lost in translation? Hanna thought about it too long, and the window to ask about it was lost.
Was she glad to be at Deus? It was a loaded question. If she wasn't at Deus, then she wouldn't have lost years of consciousness to the pods. She slept through her 21st birthday. Those were the best years, people said, and Hanna had no memory of hers because she had been trapped in a fugue state. But if she hadn't joined, she wouldn't know what she did now, wouldn't have Adelphe, wouldn't be special.
And being special really, really mattered to Hanna.
"I'm glad," she said, taking a grazing hit to the arm. "Except for being punched by bruisers like you." A grin spread across her face and she struck again.
"What's your favorite part about being here?"

"m..Me? A bruiser..." Noemi shook her head no, "No no, I am just...ah, how to say, getting lucky! Lucky hits." She nodded her head.
"It's...it's big!" She bit her lip, thinking of what she liked the most. "I get to meet many people? I've never met so many before. And...and people are actually very nice so...I guess my favorite is being able to meet people and make friends when I couldn't before." She nodded.
"N..Now I just need to talk to my cousin, cause I have family here too so...so that would be good too..." Noemi hadn't thought about it, but her leg came out of the mud, tapping Hanna's ribs with a gentle hit before coming back down.
Then she kind of looked at her leg like how did it move on it's own, what.

When Neomi landed another hit, Hanna winced. "I don't think it's luck, kid," she said, rubbing the spot. It felt good to work her arms like this. Adelphe was a big weapon, and a large part of her conditioning revolved around building muscle strength in her arms. The soggy ground squished beneath her toes and she moved back and forth. Neomi's use of her legs inspired Hanna. She hopped up into the air and brought her knee up, aiming for the other girl's side. "You have a cousin here? Who?" she asked. "I have two younger twin sisters, but I don't think they would EVER agree to join. They are a lot more... mainstream than me. They, you know, watch Gossip Girl and think Juicy Couture and Abercrombie & Fitch are the best places to shop. You know what I mean?" Basically... they were vapid bitches. HP: 31/40

"S...Sure it is Hanna! Just...very..very lucky today!" Yes that was it, just today.IT didn't feel bad though, getting the workout and the courage to hit someone. It sounded bad, but Hanna wasn't upset at her, so it made this game well...fun.
She took the knee with an oof, pushing it away and bringing her arm for a uppercut, missing completely as she misjudged the distance from her to Hanna.
"Um...She is Stormy? She is in Mist too...Ah..." Noemi looked suddenly sad, "We saw each other, but either she thinks I am not real or she wishes not to see me at all." Her shoulders sagged a bit, just thinking about it. "M..Mainstream? Well...um...I don't know..." See she was from a farm, sure they had cable and stuff, so she knew tv shows, but she preferred like cartoons or disney movies. Her cousin and her were alike in some things. Mainly looks and movie choices. "Do..Do you like your sisters?" It almost seemed like maybe they didn't like each other. Because Hanna was different?

Stormy? Hanna remembered Stormy. The girl had been basically losing it in the Sahara. "Oh, yeah, I know her. Well, I know OF her. I've seen her around, like in the Sahara," she ventured. Neomi could choose to comment on her cousin's mental state there if she wanted. Her body darted left, and her fist swung right. The ground was too soggy. The force of the punch set her off-balance. With a wet squelch, Hanna slipped backward. She nearly toppled to the ground, but managed to grab Neomi's arm and stay upright. "Whoa, that was close," she said, straightening back up. "Wait, what did you ask? Oh, about my sisters. Well." Hanna paused. How to explain being raised with people and yet never seeming to find a way to love each other truly? To live a life constantly feeling like you were never meant to be a part of your own family? It was isolating, and Hanna had dealt with it by isolating herself further. "Krista and Dana are just... really different from me. I mean, I love them. We just never really liked each other. I sound like a horrible person, but I don't really miss them. You bringing them up is maybe the first time I have thought about them in weeks." HP: 31/40

Noemi didn't comment on Stormy's mental state since Noemi had also been losing it, She was the one crying in warded barrier before they were all burned to a crispy little hunters.
She adjusted herself to hold up Hanna, even though the mud was getting slicker in the rain. "Are you okay?" The mist huntress waited until Hanna was upright, checking over her. "It's getting worse out here!"
She nodded though, "I see, it's not a bad thing, I do not think badly of you, if you are worried? Sometimes...sometimes family are good together, and sometimes not? You can love someone...but not like them!" she nodded, "But by the sounds of it, not many people understood what you were going through or the person you were. I think....I'm glad you came to the Island Hanna! So that you can be that person!" Look at Noemi getting all sappy, but mostly she just wanted Hanna to feel welcomed.
She gnawed at her lip a bit before adding..."Do you...Do you want to go inside now? Maybe I can get some hot chocolate or coffee?"Akina Tokuwa Actually we should call it good sometime soon! Noemi's not much of a fighter anyways.

Did not liking her sisters make her a bad person? Hanna didn't think so. She kind of thought her sisters were bad people. Not like, the murdering kind just like... the 'you do nothing for humanity' kind. Granted, as a Hunter, Hanna was both a killer (though not yet) and helping humanity. Life was weird. "Yeah, sometimes family isn't good together, but there's... something like love." Was that true? Hanna didn't even know. She didn't want anything bad to happen to her sisters, but she also didn't mind never seeing them again. Wasn't that wrong? When Neomi mentioned stopping, Hanna nodded. It was gross out here. "I could definitely use some coffee," she said, standing up on her own. "And a shower. Thanks for coming out though -- I maybe at least got practice in fighting while falling? Something like that?" She grinned at the girl and then jogged to get her shoes. Well, at least she had been productive today!
