For Rep the darkness was not an obstacle, thanks to another of his plethora of artifacts he had perfect night vision up to a limited distance. He found himself absently wondering what the other man was doing until his brain caught up. He desummoned the large axe and followed along. "Nah Tracey doesn't power wash." he raised a hand to tap a nail against the earring glowing brightly there. "This baby does though. Artifacts, items of power. You probably want the things you want dry out of there first though, it's pretty serious business."

"Yeah, but that's easy." He'd duck into the room even as he said it, to tug blankets off of the bed and bundle them up, hooking the strap of his bag with one ankle. His room was bare, empty. He'd never bothered to unpack, since three were no personal items or stashes, just the battered shoulder bag that contained everything he'd cared enough to bring -- or, perhaps, everything he'd owned.

As he tugged it out into the hall, head just poking out over his bundle of bedding, Ever nodded toward the rack in the corner, without quite looking at it. "That thing...I mean, if you can get it out of here, that'd be amazing. But I, uh. I admit, I can't quite bring myself to touch it."

Rep took one look at the rack and grinned. "Nae bother, that I can deal with." Racks were perfect for housing his skins on and stretching them out, he had no intention of destroying the thing, bloodstains or not. He made his way over to the thing and picked it up off the floor as if it was considerably less heavy than it actually was, dragging it over to the door and out into the hallway beyond, where he set it down.

This achieved he walked back in again. "Mind if I keep it for payment?" even as he spoke he took off the earring on his ear and eyed it thoughtfully, then the room in front of him. "And got everything out of here?"

"Please, for the love of God, take it." Ever shook his head a bit, without even looking at the rack, his arms still wrapped around his bundle of bedding and stuffed-full bag on the floor at his feet. It wasn't much, no, but it was everything: he didn't even have to double check the room.

But maybe he did pause, just briefly, dropping to a crouch to set down his blankets and poke through the bag itself, laying fingers on all his belongings before he nodded up at Rep. "And have at. However it is this works, I'm hoping I'll actually be able to sleep down here tonight..."

Rep rarely gave any kind of warning before he used his artifact, and he didn't give any now as he nodded. "You should probably be able to. Probably." After all the water had drained last time hadn't it? He held up the tiny vial of pure water and twisted the lid.

What happened next defied various laws of nature. From nowhere, but presumably the vial, there appeared a vast and powerful tidal wave of water. It crashed forcefully against the walls of the dungeon room, the floor, every part of it, including splashing back over the two individuals stood in the doorway and sloshing down the hallway.

When the water had ebbed away at least to waist level and was dropping still further, crystal clear and sweeping away much of the grime of the years to wherever it went, Rep, soaked absolutely to the skin, turned to the other man and said. "Well, at least it's clean, just a bit soggy."

It was for the best that he'd dropped his belongings to one side: it meant that his bag and his bedding only got slightly splashed, the books mostly protected by boxers and battered t-shirts. Ever himself was soaked, but the black book with gold pages and his name embossed on the inside cover that he'd gotten when he was twelve was still, mostly, dry.

The pages wouldn't curl, anyway.

He stood blinking at Rep, the tousled, soft mess of his hair flattened down against his head instead, darkened by the water, dripping down his face. Drops formed at the tip of his nose and fell to the ground, flicked off his eyelashes as he attempted to process --

And then, all at once, started laughing, like he couldn't quite help it. He sank down, slowly, to sit on the wet floor.

Rep wasn't sure if the laughter was a good sign or a sign that the man with him had just slipped off some edge into an abyss of madness. He hoped it was the former. "This place is ******** nuts, you get used to the bizarre s**t eventually."

The redheaded man actually looked delighted to be soaked to the skin, but he was always fond of water, and in the air conditioning-less basement, the cool water was an absolute delight.

He offered the other man a strong hand up. "It's no as good as an actual power washer but next best thing, especially considering how much it'd cost to runic one of those things."

"You could do some damage with that, I feel like." There was still choked laughter behind his words -- blinking at Rep's hand for a very long moment before he gathered the wits to take it, to roll up to his feet, shaking his head just a bit. Maybe Ever could have done without being soaked to the skin. It made clothing stick to him, here and there, stole away any illusion of weight beneath. He was skinny as hell, and even sopping wet, light enough that Rep would have no trouble hauling him up.

"s**t, I hope my cigarettes are alright." It came with an owlish blink at Rep before he started laughing again.

"If they aren't allright, come see me about some replacements." the redhead offered. "I normally charge steep prices for labour costs on supplies but I have a bit of mercy on new cunts, I know how shitty it is at the start." He gave Ever a grin. "Hopefully at least this place is a bit mair manageable once you give it a scrub too."

Tracey said with just an edge of irritation.

"If you need any help, just gie me a buzz on the phone and I'll see what I can do. Good luck with this s**t." And like some kind of vanishing natural disaster, he headed back upstairs again, leaving the other man to the sodden dungeon room.
