Dallol thought that she was imagining things when she felt Corinth tug her close instead of pushing her away. The thought that Corinth actually still wanted to be with her even after she had revealed everything to him an inconceivable notion until the words that followed and conveyed to her his intent. "I'm sorry. I didn't want to tell you because I don't want to lose you too..."
Resting her forehead against his chest, she slowly removed her hands from her face to lay them on his shoulders. He is here. Really here. And they're going to be together. She kept telling herself that over and over, quivering lightly as she tilted towards his touch. "D-Desert Rose..?" She asked, her voice soft, tentative, almost afraid that all of this would disappear the moment she did anything silly or inappropriate.

"Sorry, figured you wouldn't mind a pet name... I mean if we're gonna really do this..." Corinth could feel his cheeks flushing as he watched her for a moment. "Trust me, it'll take a lot more than that to lose me... I just lost a girl, I'm not letting another one go that easy." He smiled weakly. "We... should meet up as civs sometime... get to really know each other - yanno?"

"It's cute. Fitting even." Dallol smiled at Corinth's words. Desert Rose. She supposed she could roll with that if pet names were right up the Neptune Page's alley. Lifting a hand to gently rest it against his cheek, she gave him a small smile.
"You sure about this? I mean... you were worried that this might be a rebound. What if you regret this spur of the moment decision..?"
It wasn't that she didn't trust him. She was trying to clarify upfront just where they both stood at the moment before they got ahead of themselves in this. "I'd like that. Could start simple with a meal that we could talk over. Is there anything you feel inclined to do specifically?"

Corinth chuckled and nodded his head slowly. "I'm sure - I... I want to try again and I want it to be with you..." He said softly. He was nervous and a bit scared if he was completely honest with himself - but he realized that he... he had to give Dallol a chance. If she was so sure... There had to be a reason and he wanted to know. "Oh, I think a movie or just some dinner is fine - I'm not picky."

Gazing deep into his eyes, Dallol smiled, her hands lifting to carefully cradle Corinth's head while she stood on the tips of her toes to rest her forehead against his. "Okie. Let's give this a shot then. I love you Corinth."
She would treasure him. Do everything within her ability to make this work so that she wouldn't have to break his heart like she did with Darren.
"We could do both. Depends on how much time we have really. How about we make it a date at the mall this Saturday evening?"

Corinth smiles and nods his head he felt a tingle run down his spine at her confession, and he had to bite his lip a little because he wasn't sure how to reply. He really did care for Dallol - but at the same time... "That works for me..." He said gently, "I... I love you too Dallol." There, he said it. No taking it back now.

"6 pm. Right by the main entrance. I don't have any dresses or skirts other than my school uniform so... don't get your hope up too much okay?" Dallol admitted sheepishly as she pulled back a little with a small smile on her face.
Corinth had hesitated a little when he too vocalised his affections towards her. Presumably because he felt obligated to do so in order to avoid disappointing her. She took it in her stride for now though. This was still, all things considered, a rebound even if the both of them refused to acknowledge it. With the time that they were going to spend together from now on, hopefully all the bad memories from their respective recent breakups would be replaced eventually with something better that they would be creating together.
"Thank you. I won't let you go no matter what happens. I promise..."
She wouldn't want to go through another breakup again. Just one was enough to last her for this entire lifetime.

"I'll be there," Corinth said with a smile, cupping her cheeks in his hands for a moment before he slowly allowed himself to pull back. "We should, probably finish our patrol..." He felt kind of bad suddenly making it about business, but... It needed to be done. "As much as I'd like to just stand here and make out with you - we still do ahve a job to do."

She was going to have to go shopping for some dresses and skirts to add to her rather spartan wardrobe soon. Might as well make it a date with Melinda since she knew that the older girl always had a pretty good dress sense when it came to these things.
"Yeah. It's not like we can just put up a Do Not Disturb sign around our necks should one of the Negaverse or youmas come along." Dallol grinned at her own words, nodding as she reached for Corinth's hand and snuck a peck on his cheek.
"Let's go."

"I wish, but I don't think they'd really give two shits..." Darren said with a small chuckle before taking her hand and nodding. "But yeah, let's hit the road." Leading her, and taking his time to make sure she followed, he once again started back on their patrol. Squeezing her hand, he let it go only to jump to the next roof. He just hoped after all that had happened it was a quiet night... baby_gwing We can probably fin this here.
