"No way! I love fermented fruity drinks!" Tree Skeletons grinned at him, but Murkcrow took that moment to interject. What Tree Skeletons did on her own time was none of his business, but no way was he going to let some buck run off with her right in front of him. Not least because she had all the oranges. "Whoa there, lovebirds," he said. "Who did you say your parents were?"

"I didn't," Wasp said, smiling gamely at Murkcrow. "But if you must know, they're Chrysanthemum Ashes and Jasmine Smoke." He thought for a minute. "And, technically, With Your Consent, but you know how it is." Wasp picked up more oranges.

Murkcrow looked at Tree Skeletons. Tree Skeletons looked at Murkcrow. A long moment passed, then they both broke out laughing.

"Wait, wait, what's so funny?" When they didn't answer, Wasp started laughing too. It was contagious.

"It's just that -" Murkcrow was laughing too hard.
"No, you tell him -" So was Tree Skeletons.
"With Your Consent -"
"- Is the name of my nephew!"

"Your...nephew?" Wasp stared at Tree Skeletons in confusion. He was absolutely flabbergasted, really. She didn't look old enough to be his great-aunt, but there it was. Then he started laughing again. "Well, the offer of fermented fruity drinks still stands!"
Then he looked at Murkcrow. "I guess that makes you my...great-grandfather?"

Murkcrow snorted. "Welcome to the family, son. Though, since you ask, I only raised this grinning missy. Now if you don't mind, grandson, I think I'd appreciate a little more help hauling these oranges back to your great-great-grandmother." He couldn't wait until Shadelight learned she had many-great grandkids.

Wasp eagerly stepped up to help keep the oranges in the pack attached to Tree Skeletons's back - which was no easy task, what with her regular spasms of mirth.
"What's this?" Shadelight asked when the group had made it back to The Den. She peered at Wasp in a manner that was not a little hawkish. "Did Tree Skeletons finally catch herself a buck? Or is he for you? If not, I think I'll take him."
Murkcrow rolled his eyes. Tree Skeletons rolled her eyes. Wasp fidgeted a little nervously. "Mother, this is Wasp. He's Tree Skeletons's great-nephew," Murkcrow said.
Shadelight cackled. "I'm not related to him, then!"
Murkcrow sighed. Wasp bobbed his head. "You seem like a lady who knows how to enjoy yourself. My sister makes the best fermented fruity drinks..."
---
Later, after Wasp returned home with his oranges and gave the lion's share to Honey Chaser, he and Ash decided to see how well orange peels burnt. As it happened, quite well. And the clearing smelled like oranges for weeks afterward. (Although, to be fair, most of that had to be the fermenting fruit.)
