"I am much more at home with the endless expanse of the desert, though that is a lie considering everything does end." Sheltered paused, looking at his little pile of four oranges and pick a second to eat, holding it still with his hoof. "I was with a group of three others. I lost them, or they lost me."
He wasn't sure which, truly. Shelter began to eat the second and nudged two more to his claim pile.

"Well I am glad the swamp led you somehow to us, then." eve called out back to the acha. "Though I do hope you find your friends once again -- I'm sure you shall if the MotherFather wills it." Her words were a little cryptic as she always was but she was sincere in the way she wanted the acha to find his kin once again.
Watchful Night appeared beside her then, blinking at her and back to the small ghostly form of the foxbun. He paused, looking at her and concluded that she and the other were harmless but he stayed beside Evenfall for a bit, rolling more oranges with his nose though distracted.
"Fragment, hm? She's wonderful," Eve responded, "Very curious, indeed." It was only fitting he had such a unique companion such as this.

Again, she had successfully lost sight from her brother's watchful eyes. The guards that kept watch of their family's territory had also let her slide past, and said kinds words to her reminding her to come back before nightfall. Whispers Softly, smiled and walked past the guards with confidence as her little pet followed closely after her. "Don't worry," she whispered to the guards, "I can look after myself." She stayed close under the trees' shadows as she ran away from their family's territory to explore on her own again. She loved it the most when she is not being under constant watch. This time, she really hoped to find Endless Climb again, but, like the other time, there was another distraction in her path. At first she thought it was the smell of honey, but soon came to realize that they were oranges as she reached the grove on the other side of the swamp. She slowed down with running as she stepped on solid dry ground. Eyes wide in shock, she could not help but walk up closer to investigate. Nearby where she was, a doe called her over and welcomed her. "Collect oranges?" she asked back. "I- I - I am not sure if I can do that.." she whispered. But like the other kin who were already there and collecting, she could not resist the temptation of sweet smelling oranges. If I get back late, at least I have a few oranges to give to them as an excuse for being out for so long. She accepted the doe's challenge and wandered deeper into the grove. Carefully, she stepped between the field of oranges as she looked for perfectly rounded ones without bug bites on them.

Everywhere she looked were oranges. Never in her life did she see so many at once in one location.
Whispers Softly did not want to be the center of attention unless she is with Endless Climb. She smiled as she stared at the meti with spiked horns and spiked back from a distance as he collected some more oranges. In her mind, she thinks that he is polite, like the guards at home, but was afraid to find out in case he was bad tempered. All she did was stare and hopefully can manage to catch his eye.
As she looked around the field of orange everywhere, she noticed a few more kin. An acha and another meit. They seem to be chattering amongst themselves. She wanted to greet them too, but didn't want to interrupt their conversation.
She blushed a little at her own silliness and looked down at the oranges near her hooves, and she started to inspect them closely.

Grave looked over to the Acha with a befuddled sort of uncertainty, swaying his spiked tail slowly. "Or perhaps you're exactly where you need to be." As a dealer in death, he hardly understood the negativity or pandering to others that the living tended to partake in. He believed firmly in owning one's situation and doing the best one could: it was how he worked, after all. "You've exchanged familiar company for new. I hope we aren't too unfavorable." Not that he was actually insulted by the idea, it's not like he was social himself...
The doe's gentle praise of his familiar earned a faint snort from him. "She doesn't need an ego," he remarked dryly, "she's insufferable." Fragment almost seemed amused, glowing eyes settled into a crescent moon shape, the way one might look at another when they know they're just being difficult for show. The foxbun flicked small ears and continued to romp and gather with Root, carefree and unfettered by the attention.
Shaking his head, he turned -- and spotted a new doe. Grave shook out his winged pelt, briefly taking in the gathered and their myriad of colors and demeanors. So far, he could 'deal' with this, despite not being a fan of being in the company of others. "Don't worry. We bite oranges here, not each other." Was the doe afraid? He had no idea, but she was keeping a distance. He liked to think himself an imposing figure, even if it was only in his head.

Evenfall smiled contently at the foxbuns, briefly looking over to the boned kimeti. "Doesn't mean she doesn't deserve a praise." As the familiars continued on with their work, the doe walked over with her eaglehound to the pile he had made, eyes brightly looking towards him in satisfaction.
"Ah, this will be a very good tribute to the seasons." The pile of oranges was growing, and even as she had sad that the eaglehound huffed in pride, already rolling a few more in, content to do this job.
She didn't notice the newcomer until the other greeted her (well, sort of), but by then she was at a good distance from the new doe. Evenfall didn't dislike the company of others, not at all, but somehow for now she stayed her ground, helping watchful night as well as giving attention to Grave's curious companions.

Whispers could sense the buck's eyes peer at her and she looked up again and met his gaze. "Oh. That is rather good news for me then," she responded, and gave him a shy smile. "How many have you collected so far?" She asked and rolled two and two together, making hers a small pile of four oranges now.
A bit further away was that acha she had noticed from the start, but the doe didn't come closer. She gave her a nod and continued to look for more oranges that was up to par with her standards. Maybe later, if she gets the chance, to walk in her path, she could say hello as they collect these oranges.
Her foxbun, Jasmine, seemed to be helping herself to an orange as she'd already bit into one and ate half of it along with the rind.

"I am not sure I am where I am suppose to be, but I am not opposed to the company," he replied softly and kept gathering the oranges. "I will find them or they me when it is needed."

Whispers seemed to have gathered quite a few lovely looking oranges and started her way to roll them toward a tree. It was close enough to still hear and see what the other kin were doing. Proud of the oranges she had picked, one by one they found their place by the tree as she rolled them with her nose.
She wanted to make sure that no one should take them and used a hoof to draw a line between the sea of oranges and the ones she had collected so far.

After she had finished drawing the line to set up her temporary territory, she started to count the oranges out of curiosity. " 1, 2, 3, ...7..9.. Nine oranges, so far," she whispered.
Whispers smiled at the effort she had put in to gather them together. She took a small break and started to eat a few oranges herself to quench her thirst. I hope the doe won't mind that i'm eating a few while gathering. The juice started to trickle down her lips and she licked it up with her tongue savouring the sweet and bitter taste of the whole orange..

Evenfall started to settle near the pile of oranges as the little familiar nearby continued on their collecting. She turned to each fruit, nosing and smelling if they were rotten or if something was wrong with any of them. Watchful Night looked proud as she smiled towards him, satisfied with what he was doing. "All of them look well." She nodded her head in approval.

"This though, seems like an exercise in futility," Sheltered said, looking around him and sighed. It seemed they were barely making a dent in the sea of orange. He kept collection.

The grey doe had heard that comment, glancing towards the other kimeti. "But it's a start." She smiled before she went back to her own pile, watching the companions make a bigger mountain of oranges.

"Ah, but like a beginning, everything has an end." She responded calmly, pushing an orange with her nose. The oranges Watchful and her had gathered were piling up, and she decided was almost satisfactory for an offering.
