History:Deacon was fortunate to have been born into a higher-end middle class family. The orchard that his parents tend had been passed down through several generations, keeping the family fed and their pockets from getting too empty. As a child, Deacon was taught the value of a hard day's work. He was eager to please his parents, and they made learning the ways of fruit farming an educational and fun experience to their young son from the point that he could comprehend and accompany them outside on his own two feet. When he was of a responsible age, he was tasked with a larger chunk of the work of harvesting and sorting the various trees and bushes. He never saw it as a dreadful chore; he was pleased to be included in the family business. He earned his parents' confidence in him with hard work and dependability.
Focusing his heart on keeping his parents content even as they aged, becoming less able to put as much work into the land and harvest themselves, Deacon has never really had the time required to persue a family of his own. He doesn't much mind, though he is known to have been a flirt from pretty much the instant he hit puberty. One sided crushes have come and gone, with young women not wanting to wait for a guy who put his work first and love life second. He's convinced that one day he'll find a confident woman that will be just as willing to get her hands dirty, but until that person arrives he simply administers his care to the orchard that will one day become his.
As of the days leading up to the 100 Years of Peace Festival, Deacon hasn't given much of a consideration toward joining the military. He wouldn't want to leave the farm hurting for aid, or imagine his family having to pay someone to take over his tasks. He holds no dislike toward the military, personally, and just believes that he has chosen the right career path.
Personality: •
Aquaphobic/Potamophobia - He can't swim. In result, if he can't
clearly see the depth of whatever body of water you want him to throw himself into, you're gonna have a bad time convincing him if a Titan isn't about to kill him before drowning would.

Blunt - He's going to tell you what he thinks, with or without being asked. Be it his own opinion or actual fact, he's not going to sugar coat it and really doesn't give a s**t if it offends you.

Hedonistic - Pleasures of the senses. Beautiful music, good food, the touch of a soft breeze (or woman) or just time to admire what little of nature he's permitted to enjoy inside the walls. Rude as he might seem, even this guy has a pleasant side.

Proud - Deacon is very self-confident. Anything you can do, he can do just as well or better. It didn't really help that he didn't have any siblings to compete with. On the plus side, he rarely doubts himself, even in stressful situations.

Respectful (to Elders) - He'll usually behave himself when people older than him are around. Call it a habit beat into his head by his mother, if you will, but at least he's helpful to the older generations.

Stubborn - Once he's got his mind made up on something, he's not often ready to let up. Especially not if the person expecting it is younger and less experienced than he is. Shouldn't
usually apply to orders given by higher authority.
