"Yeah...I was naked when I changed and people found me. They weren't sure what to do with me...I ran away though." very blindly. "I don't think all humans are dangerous, but a lot can be. But that's like with pokemon too."
Seeing the continued confusion, Chayy screwed his face up in thought, trying to recall what he'd read about gangs. "A gang, tends to be an organized group of criminals...bad people. But...I don't think Arashi, and Trace and Havoc are bad. You can tell the bad ones. They make you feel afraid just from being looked at. Like that gang of Growlithes that keep harassing us." he muttered some. "I think thats the best way to know."

He nodded slowly. That was right. Pokemon could be dangerous, too. So.. why did he fear humans so much more?
He listened intently as further explanation was attempted, and he put a hand curiously to his chin. "A group of bad people." Okay. He could understand that. And being able to feel the danger... yes, he could understand that, too. "Okay. I'll try to avoid scary gangs then. I don't usually go through town without my friend though. He's really brave an' big, so he wouldn't worry."

"That's good you have someone who's big and brave to help you out!" and here he grinned sheepishly.
"I'm not very brave...not like Arashi...or Trace. ..and Trace isn't bigger than me but he really is brave. He's my best friend!" the tone he had when speaking of his friends was bright, more so speaking of Trace. "They're teaching me about the city and living on the street and all. When they found me...weeelllll...." he paused looking sheepish.
"I wasn't doing a very good job of getting by. But I'm doing a lot better now, and so far that other gang has left us alone. Mostly. Not like when they attacked Trace and me at the park." that had been frightening!

Kole nodded enthusiastically. He felt very lucky to have his friend. Then, he gave an understanding smile. "I can get scared, too. My friend watches out for me though. We met when we were both pokemon."
His eyes widened when he heard about the attack. "I like you! They shouldn't be attacking you like that," he huffed, crossing his arms. "So, Trace protected you, then?" His smile brightened. "My friend, his name is Kyllian, and he's my best friend. He protects me, too. I help him when I can, but he's stronger and stuff.. He doesn't need me like I need him."

"I'm better about it than I was. Then again when I first changed I couldn't see very well, so I was working more or less blind. All the loud noises and stuff was terrifying!"
He smiled at Kole's reaction a soft chuckle given. "Well, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Growlithe that attacked, was going after Trace but I was there with him, so I was attacked too." he thought back to that night a moment.
"Trace did his best to protect me...and I did my best to help him even though I was so tiny at the time. He's a Poochyena, so he was a lot bigger than me when I was still a little bug. Now, I'm a lot taller than him since he's a pokemon still. He still knows more about life than I do though."

Another happy nod came. It was nice to hear about the other getting braver. Maybe that meant that he could, too! ..but he could see fine...
"Oh. Good, I think? At least you were there to help him however you could." He gave an encouraging smile and nod. "That's all I do though. If he needs me, I can help. Sorta. ..as much as I can." He looked down at the ground. "No one has tried attacking us lately, though, so that's good."

"I think it helped keep him from getting hurt worse than he did. I just wish I'd been able to help more." he gave Kole a warm smile. "Your friend is lucky to have you for a friend. That you help when you can and when needed is a good thing." though he did frown some. "Has it happened before? Being attacked I mean..."

Kole blushed slightly, and shrugged. He wished that he could be more helpful, in his eyes.
Suddenly, Kole's expression went blank. Had they been attacked before? "Some humans... chased us... Me and Kyllian..." That was the only time though, right? A pain in his chest made his head drop, and a heat rise in his eyes. Something that danced on the edge of his memories, fleeting and ghostly yet also demanding. If he thought too hard about it though, it made the pain worse, and he felt a headache creeping up on him. "Just.. just that time," he said, shaking his head to try clearing it. "It was scary though. They tried to take us for themselves."

That blank look on the others face was sort of worrying and Chayy bit his lip in concern. Had he asked something he shouldn't have? He'd only asked because of what had been said was all.
"It's true, being attacked is very scary. I'm glad it only happened once and not more often. I hope it doesn't happen for you again." Chayy knew too well how frightening that experience was!

Kole nodded slowly. He could remember being afraid of those grabbing hands reaching for him as a little pumpkaboo. Yet, other hands reached as well, but he couldn't remember having seen those hands... "Yeah. I hope so, too." He smiled finally, and nodded again. "And I hope those mean gangs leave you an' your friends alone!"

He wasn't sure what he was seeing on Kole's face but it was probably best to change the subject. If he could even think of one to change it to! He grasped at the next words spoken, almost gratefully. "I hope so too. So far, so good so that's something. The fact so many of us look like this is a slight deterrent I think." for the time being anyhow.

"More like a person than a pokemon. They're Growlithes and stuff that haven't changed like...well you and I. So I think we kind of scare them a little. They don't know what to make of us." which was probably good. But how long could it last he wondered.

"Oh! I see!" That helped him feel a little better. He was no longer a little pumpkaboo. He was half-human! Well, maybe there was one benefit to changing like this. He looked down at his hands again. Yeah... He could help more this way. "Thanks, Chayy. It's nice to see something good about this change. I.. wasn't too happy about it before, but it's not so bad."

"Really? I like this change. But then again I was soooo tiny before, so this is really nice." he gave a soft laugh as he said that, adjusting his glasses slightly. He wished he could do without these, but he was happy to see the other seemed a little happier about things too. Always a good thing.
