My volunteering total: 0
Ephias looked glumly at the stack of fliers the orangeblood manning the front desk handed him. There were so many. He was at a loss of how to distribute all of them. It would be easy to simply pin them up some place and get it over with quickly. However he worried about the possibility of 'defacing' property. The last thing he wanted was to pick a fight with someone because he had effectively cocooned their hive in advertising. No, the best option would be to hand the fliers out to passersby. At least that way he could answer any questions they may have as well.
Sighing a thanks, he stuffed them into a bag, careful not to crinkle the edges and then struck out. He knew a few places that would suit his needs. A part of him hoped that they would not be too busy. Diving into a crowd was not exactly his idea of a lawnmeal. Then again, that would defeat the point.

Today's training regimen: the tubes
Now that the networking was over, Dictys had - well, ey had some hard work ahead of em. Laureate needed a workout, just as Dictys did: that was how winning worked, after all! Ey picked it out of its little cage gently, and then set it free atop a little maze of tubes. It scrambled eagerly through the tubes for a few hours, and Dictys collected it again smugly when it was all over. Back in the cage for Laureate.

Troll: Kursha
Today's training regimen: the tubes
My training total: 8
This was it. Kursha was going to train the best gerbil in existence. He refused to settle for anything less. With what he hoped was an intimidating scowl, he eyed his options. That one was too fat, that one was too small, that one looked lazy, that one was... no, that one was perfect! He scooped the wiry gerbil up. "I'm going to make you famous," he told it, grinning. Then he felt a bit silly. Talking to gerbils—really?
Without further remarks to his many-legged companion, he brought the gerbil over to a series of convoluted tubes. It was time to put this rodent to the test.
Fifteen minutes later, Kursha watched as the gerbil lay panting in one of the tubes. It had not performed as well as he'd hoped but he supposed it could have been worse. He made a mental note to push harder next time.

My volunteering total: 0
The *~dissemination of information~* was something Curtsi liked to think he knew a little (a lot) about, and he approached volunteering with a cautious but eager bravery, emboldened in part by a fellow yellowblood to get him started and his lusus' inexhaustible encouragement. Of course, the courage ran out once Tessie suggested, perish the thought, Why not take a more direct approach?, and she might have even gone so far as to say his charms would surely win trolls over, or something along those lines, but he'd stopped listening to shove the pages up to his flushed face and shake his head wildly in mortification.
But, not wanting to disappoint (not that she would ever be disappointed in her little boy), he lowered the sweaty stack to look up at her hopefully and mumble into the ink, "Um, I was thinking more of an... artist's approach. Making use of composition and the... the rule of thirds," he floundered lamely, but Tessie just loved when the most modest Modsat called himself an artist and that settled it! They would set off to plaster the flyers at the optimum height for reading, in the most eye-catching of placements, and in threes because that was the rule of thirds, wasn't it? Yes, and definitely no talking to anyone. He was a tortured artist, after all.

Today's training regimen: TUUUUUBES
It was a relief once volunteering was over and done with, as Tessie's oohing and aahing over his genius placement of flyers had still drawn some looks, with Daguerre snoozing away in Curtsi's camera case all the while. Well, no more of that, because the young yellowblood would be taking charge of training for the upcoming race! Taking charge by caaaarefully removing the groggy gerbil and placing him in the maze of tubes with a quiet request of go, please.

My volunteering total: 0
It had been a hard choice at first, but in the end it hadn't actually taken all that long at all for Etsali to decide how she was going to help spread the flyers for the race. Sticking them up around town would have been too easy and just talking wouldn't be interesting enough either, but going door to door held its own kind of potential! Gathering up as big a stack of flyers as the troll at the front desk would allow her, she scurried off to try her luck at door-to-door advertising. All she had to do was give them a good grin, at least two flyers for extra surety, and while she was at it she could get a quick glimpse into their homes. Just for curiosities' sake, of course!

Today's training regimen: The Ball!

Arms free of flyers and head full of interesting hives to maybe consider revisiting another time, Etsali wandered into the athletic center to watch the little gerbils train. They were cute little things, even if they didn't have the right look to be collectable, and she couldn't help a sudden urge to find one to play with herself! A quick glimpse around found an unattended gerbil and, without hesitation, she plucked it out of its container and approached the first training tool in sight- the ball!

Vremea raised an eyebrow at the organizer in charge of managing the event, then slid a hand through her hair. Well, if she were to advertise this amazing event, the yellowblood would've.. probably... grabbed as many papers and shoved them on everything she could. Seeing as how she really didn't like to put herself out there, the Lolita believed this was the most logical choice. She petted her two gerbils-- Donna Elisee and Chevalier de la Torre, and made sure they were primed and perfect before she walked out, hundreds of flyers in each hand as she began throwing all around as well as placing each and everyone of the flyers on a different place that was noticeable.

Oh man oh man, the events were finally commencing! Vremea felt awfully excited, petting her so called 'babies' once each before scratching them both a little behind their ears. Oh, oh no, they were too cutteeee. She would dieeeeee. Vremea placed one of them on the wheel and then let it go, seeing it run over and over in that same little circle. How adorable!!

After the results of the last training session, Nervit headed confidently for the tubes. Chamomile, as excitable as ever, squeaked happily and set off at a fast pace to rocket down the tubes.

My training total: 16 + BUST! = 16
Time for test subject number two. Aandes crept over to the sleeping gerbil carefully and plucked it from its pen. It wiggled and wobbled in his hand as he dropped it into the wheel with little ceremony. "Let's see how you compare..." He cooed threateningly.
The poor thing piddled on the ground and refused to run its course. Aandes cursed. He supposed he'd have to put on a friendly facade, even for a gerbil.
