"A key, maybe?" Ulka called back, digging up absolutely nothing in his searches. No, he truly wasn't good at this at all. He was good at cuddling, and reading, and sewing and cooking! Not this!
And why did all of his adventures have to be so scary?!
"I have found a good many books, yes! But they are not very helpful in the slightest. Anything from you?" He asked again, still searching about the area.

A chair leg? Well! That could be a good whooping stick, if necessary. Ulka decided to hang onto that, on the off chance he needed to whoop somebody. Not Bren! But whoever put them here, maybe!
For now... he would search. Tucking his whooping stick under his arm, Ulka continued onward in his journey.

More books! Darn it all, that wasn't good! Taking a crack at the books with his newly found best friend, the whooping stick, Ulka headed onward in his search. There were still plenty of pews to investigate, and all around the silly story scene!

Oh! A second whooping stick! Now his first whooping stick had a friend! Crowing in delight, Ulka tucked the second whooping stick alongside the first. Now he had two weapons in case of emergency! Two was always better than one!
Unless it was headaches. Ulka very much did not want two headaches.
But he would have time to think later. For now, he would continue on his search..

Tissues! Gross! Nothing useful there. Ulka continued onward, hoping to find some sort of a key. Or maybe something to break the door down...?

This wasn’t the library. Not a single detail of this room seemed familiar to TK, who sighed as he realized this was going to be a meticulous journey. He could feel it in his bones. As he raised his head, the boil clicked his tongue as he felt a sharp ache in his neck. Even his arms seemed to ache as he raised a hand to rub the back of his neck. “What a distressing situation…” he murmured in a quiet, steady tone. Calm eyes flickered around the room, to the pews and to the podium and especially to the other students.
Two of them appeared to be searching for something. The only thing that really caught his eye was the door with paint on it. Oh, is that so? Amused, the skeleton slowly rose from his seat to join the search. It wasn’t long until his shoes scuffed against a piece of fabric. Beneath it gleamed a rusted scalpel. It wasn’t a key, but perhaps it would be useful. TK gladly picked it up.

(( WELCOME TO MY ROLLING HELL. Quote me if you want a whooping stick from Ulka. He's taken three.))
Well! Another whooping stick! Some families had three parents. It could work! They would all just have to be honest with each other. If stick one made stick three jealous, they could talk it out! It was just going to take a bit of work!
But now... where could that key be...?
THERE! There was a small box! And when Ulka pried it open, there was a key! Sprinting with squeaky steps, Ulka made his way to unlock the door.

A...broken chair leg. It didn't appear as useful as the rusted scalpel, but if he encountered whoever locked them in here, he was sure to give them a good whack with this scrap of furniture.

The box itself is cherry wood and otherwise unremarkable. It's easily opened, and within it you discover:"You found it!" A squeaky voice cheers - you spin around and at first you see nothing. Baffled, you look around, and finally you look down; there is a Fracs sitting behind you. Its head is tilted up as if it's looking at you and you alone, and its tail is swinging behind it in absolute delight. "I'm so pleased! I was worried you wouldn't." It continues on, sounding positively delighted, and even rears back onto it's hind paws to clack it's front hooves together, clearly clapping for your accomplishments over finding the box.
"You're well on your way to making it out of here pretty quickly, if you keep this up!" It announced, clambering to all fours and hopping up onto the podium to get a better vantage point. The little Fracs walks in a tight circle on the spot, and after pawing at the podium once - then twice - it takes a seat, quite literally flopping down to lay on top of it. The gas mask obscures its features its head doesn't often move, but you can feel it looking at each of you in turn.
"I suppose you're all wondering why you're here, right? I mean, of course you are. I'd wonder what I was doing here, too. Well!" It reared up again, gesturing vaguely with it's front hooves. "You were selected to perform in a social experiment! Aren't you lucky?!" It paused for a few pregnant moments, as if expecting an applause - but when it didn't get one, it didn't seem phased. "The goal here is to work as a team to find a way out, which shouldn't be too hard ~ you all look like a bunch of bright, smart kids..." The squeaky little voice tapered off for a moment, as if it didn't quite believe that it was saying.
"If you follow the rules, the four of you will make it out in one piece!" It nodded to itself, and then turned to look towards the door with [ NOPE ] written on it. "The key in that box belongs to that door. Your escape lies in one of those rooms, so it'll take all of you to find and figure it out. Happy Hunting!"
In a blink, the Fracs was gone. The OOC Reply to the above as you see fit. Everyone in the room saw the Fracs and heard its little announcement. When the key holder is ready, they may go and [ unlock the NOPE door ] - please remember to post this in bold red!

Staring at the contents of the box, Ulka did not notice the little Frac. He jumped in fright when the thing began speaking, whirling around to perhaps beat it with his whooping stick. However, it seemed to be explaining things to him. Ulka stared at its little gas mask as it elaborated on the rules, nodding along as he listened.
Social experiment... find a way out... smart kids... rules...
Ulka closed his eyes as he nodded along, thinking. It seemed easy enough. It was a game. Like hide and go shriek, or something along those lines. Only...
"Wait! I do not know the ru- oh." When he had finally remembered to ask the rules, the Fracs was gone. Ulka sighed to himself. Great.
He really wasn't that smart, either.
Ulka toddled over and unlocked the NOPE door with the key, drawing a deep breath. For some reason, he had a very bad feeling about this.
"Hey, um! I do not know all of your names, but! I believe we should each take a map and begin exploring, yes! The last thing she remembered was that she was heading back to her dorm after a nice midnight swim.
Now, as Marzena blinked the sleep away from her eyes, she found herself staring up at a ceiling that was entirely foreign. This was not her dorm room. Somehow, she had fallen asleep on a hard surface, which was baffling because it was something she would never do--
Everything seemed to ache. Her joints were stiff and as she cracked her neck, her fingers went to her waist, where her most prized possession had been. Her seal skin was not...
There.
Eyes went wide in horror. Marzena would have let out a bloodcurdling shriek but she realized that there were three others there with her, standing right in front of a door that said NOPE.

Brenley was very busy searching a thoroughly empty pew when he heard a new voice—not that skeleton boil's or the ghoul's, though it was good to have everyone awake—but some very suspicious fracs'. It was eerie the way the thing stood up occasionally and waved around its little hooves in vaguely humanoid gestures. What was eerier still was when it completely disappeared into thin air, after urging them through the door first, of course.
"Yes, I would like a map, thank you," he replied. "And if you're not using all of those sticks... I think I could hold open doors and... do other things with one, if you'd let me." Like perhaps knock out strange little talking minipets and force them to explain themselves the next time they showed up.

Unlike Ulka, TK merely directed his gaze toward the talking Fracs. Glowing eyes narrowed suspiciously as it went on to elaborate. The given information was hardly sufficient, but the boil supposed it would have to work for now. His expression barely changed, but the look in his eyes were dead, blank, and ready to kill whoever had decided to throw him into this so-called social experiment. This could hardly be called science, but crazy citizens were like this sometimes.
He took further insult at the doubt in its voice. Was it implying he wasn’t smart? How insolent. TK might have kicked it against his better judgment, but by now it’d already disappeared. He adjusted his jacket and walked over to the boil with the box. “You may call me TK,” he answered Ulka with a polite nod.
A long arm reached for a map. “Hmmm. It would be quicker to send one student to each room, but I also doubt that would be safe. Perhaps pairs would be a good compromise?”

The latch clicks without resistance and the door creaks open slowly. You peek out, cautiously looking this way and that, and you find yourself in a softly lit hallway. Some pleasant music drifts through the hallway, though you can't quite tell where it's coming from, and the place looks as well kept as the chapel.
So it seems out of place to see bright red paint on the wall opposite the room you are in, glistening as if still in the process of drying. It says, quite clearly:TO MIND'S TRUTHQuote: Open investigation time!Congratulations on escaping the room! However, it doesn't seem that you're out of the woods just yet, and find yourself in a hallway. Feel free to investigate the area as you wish, using the map given as a guide.
Post your explorations in [ BOLD RED ], and I will respond and potentially give further prompts...but now that you are out of this room, there are a couple guidelines you should follow:
