Somehow this time he is not startled by the sudden appearance of another doe -- the swamp seems to be thick with helpful kin today. He blinks up at her for a moment, taking in her unusual appearance (for an acha), before he speaks. "What is it with does popping out of nowhere lately? Do I really seem that helpless?" He doesn't deny the fact that he does need help, after all, before continuing -- "You're going to get it more stuck if you keep jumping around up there on it. I'm trying to get it out of the ground, not push it further in." He is teasing, but maybe only half so -- his tone is slightly whiny, as though he was a petulant child.

And all of this passes over the acha like sand in a breeze -- she leaps down from the boulder, landing lightly next to him, and cocks one bright eye up at him. "Are you calling me fat?" Her voice is musical, but familiar, in the way as though she's known him for ages. No one is a stranger to Into the Wind.
"Don't answer that," she says, before he even has time to inhale, "Let's get this thing out of the way so you can go on and find another one."

"No, I --" he fumbles, embarassed. "-- of course I'm not calling you --" he sighs, realizing she has already moved on, and follows her around to help push.
"I think after this I'll have had enough of boulders for a while," he grumbles.

"Me too," she chirps -- and throws her weight against it. For an acha, she is incredibly strong -- likely due to her halfbreed lineage -- and the boulder moves without incident, heaving itself up out of the sucking mud. Once out, it's not too heavy -- it was just stuck. "There, not too heavy," she says, taking a step back -- "Do you think you can move it the rest of the way? Looks like it was just stuck."

The buck steps back as the boulder releases from the mud, eyeing the acha with new admiration. "You're stronger than you look," he replies, smiling down at her. "I can take it from here -- I'm stronger than I look too." He grins, as if aware of the childlike air his high pitched voice and dreamy attitude lends him. "Thank you for your help. My name is Wolf Dream, if we ever meet again."

"Into the Wind," she says, breezily -- tossing her head so that her sunbleached hair patters against one ear. "Remember it," she adds, and then leaves, leaping through the mud in the peculiar long loping acha gait.

He nods, smiling at her as she leaves, and then bends himself to work once again, pushing the boulder to the clearing where Never Idle is gathering his supplies.
It has been a hard day's work, and although he has endurance from traveling and hunting, Wolf Dream is not used to having to make use of his muscles for tasks of pure strength as today's have been. Yawning to himself, the buck wanders off, ready to find a good place to spend the night and dream -- perhaps of bodies stronger and more able than his.
