Sirene Naiads
Chaonis shook his head and shrugged.
He tried not to think about how many of his friends had gone missing, or all the unfinished stories he might never be able to hear the ends to. He could not tell if some of the people he no longer ran into were dead or if they had moved away while they had the chance, or if they had been stolen by the Negaverse. He did his best to not think about it at all, but if he was made to, he tried to tell himself that whatever happened, as long as they kept fighting, that the senshi survived and kept the struggle alive, they would eventually win out. And those that were lost could be recovered, somehow.
At least some of them.
He ran a hand through his spiky hair, which was losing some of its will to stand up, and tried to look cool and collected. He looked at her and his eyes burned, but most of the thoughts and feelings behind them were trapped there.
"A lot. And we lose more and more. Chaos takes them or they just give up because they think it's a good idea to let Chaos brainwash them. And then of course we're getting murdered, literally, out here. But that's the point, that's why I keep fighting, anyway. I don't have to make friends with everyone I see, but if they're a senshi, I'm going to do my damned best to help them walk away from their fights alive. I almost got killed, my dad almost got corrupted... it's always too close. We have to beat them back better than this. I dunno. Our strength is supposed to come from our hearts, and whatever light or that trash, right? If that's true, then we need to be strong, and dedicated." He was starting to sound like his dad and that was annoying him, so he thrust his hand out toward the other senshi and held it there stubbornly.
"So I'm not giving up, and I'm not going to abandon you, even if you want me to. I'm Chaonis, Eternal Senshi of Danger, and I'm going to kick a** until my legs are ripped off. So get used to it." He grinned at her, not much for motivational speeches and not sure why he was caught by the babble bug, but he supposed he'd been mulling all these thoughts over for far too long. This just happened to be the much needed outlet.
