Without thought, Mathias's dark skinned and black clawed fingers slid through those of Jove's, gripping his hand gently at first, then with a firmness that was still on the more casual side as he led him towards the trees, a slight hopping skip in his step that was only typical of his kind. With the small darkened and gnarled woods looming up in front of them, Mathias felt the urge to immediately find a secluded area to take off his pin and change into his natural form. It was a constant itch in the back of his head, a need to be free from his humanoid body and out of restrictive clothing, to be replaced by much more comfortable and practical, silver and tan fur.
He mentally shook away that idea, however. This was not the time, though perhaps after they were through, and a break needed, he could pursue the thought further. Soon, they were within the woods, keeping to the path that led to the springs at first before veering off. It was cooler here, and darker then out in the open with the pumpkin sun shining down on them, and Mathias's red eyes seemed to shine in that darkness, reflecting what light did manage to filter through.
Pulling Jove into a small clearing, he stopped.
"Here." He reached up with a free hand to scratch at the base of one of his ears, his other hand not yet releasing Jove's, though certainly he was holding it loosely enough for the ghost boil to pull away from him if he wished.
"Vould like to be trying again?" He asked, not looking back over his shoulder for knowing how the other boil was still dressed.
And then, with a small frown, he turned, his gaze cast slightly to the side, so as not to look directly at the boil standing in front of him. "But before...Jove vas vondering, about Scarentine's Day....Vas vondering if allowed...." His thumb brushed against the back of Jove's hand, a small, nervous motion as he then coughed into his free hand, before quickly mumbling out.
"Ifallowedhuggingagain." His face flushed again, and his ears drooped a little.
"Vas nice..." He said, so quietly it might not have been heard.
