Oliver didn't look too convinced. His pale eyes brimming with unshed tears were a perfect mimicry of a sad, lost puppy. Even though he was an awful trainee, Finn was still going to try keeping him alive? For a lot of people that would have been a reassuring thought, but it just made Oliver feel a little more hopeless. It wasn't like he wanted to die, but...

He stared downward at his cookie, and although there were no added tears, he still didn't seem to be his usual, nervous and jumpy self. "I-I'll finish it," he said quietly. And stared at it for a bit longer.

"I-it's okay, you d-don't have to stay," he said after a moment, and forced himself to nibble on the edge of the cookie. Maybe that would be enough, he really didn't want to go out, not even to the hallway or the shower. Nobody else needed to see him in such a state. "I-I'll go later," he added as an afterthought.

He didn't want to.

But he would. Because he didn't give a s**t what anybody would think of him if he did.

"The carry you out and clean you up myself way it is, then." He was relentless, and no sad, tear filled eyes promises were going to deter him from getting the young man up and out and cleaned up and out of what appeared to be a hopeless state of self-pity.

"Do you know what's great, princess? I mean, besides the fact that I'm higher ranked then you so you should actually do what I tell you, especially if it's for your own good and well being." He stepped back up to the bed, leaned forward, and broke off a piece of the cookie that Oliver was still halfheartedly nibbling on, before popping it into his mouth.

And then he waited for the other man to guess what was so great.

"I-it's really okay! I-I'm okay!" Oliver protested, somehow trying to get around the logic that Finn was starting to hint at. Orders were one thing, and chores and duties and training and whatnot... but was Finn even allowed to order him to go clean up? Couldn't he just do that later, when he was by himself?

The characteristic nervousness was finally coming back to the kid's expression as he was forced to contemplate something even more immediate than his eventual death. Taking a part of that cookie so matter-of-factly seemed like an ominous gesture. And Finn could be really scary sometimes, especially when he had that look about him.

Oliver dared look up to meet Finn's eye. And then he slowly shook his head.

At this point, Finn might argue that Oliver getting himself cleaned up was technically a chore, especially considering the state he was in. It was also fairly laughable that the young man was sitting there stuttering that he was okay, especially in the state that he was in. In fact, it was so laughable, that Finn scoffed at him, and gave his head a small shake.

"I'll believe that when I see some proof, princess." He was still leaned down, and now, his smirk grew larger, until there was just the barest hint of a flash of teeth behind that cold smile.

"It's that I'm also stronger then you," And possibly faster, as well, if his added boost from his recently upgraded status, weapon, and apparently strength was any indicator. "So do you know what that means?"

Oliver began to look like a deer in the headlights.

Stuffing the rest of the cookie in his mouth, he began to inch backwards, away from that sinister smile. "I-I'll go," he insisted again, but his voice was a little higher pitched than his previous assurances. "A-after it's quieter, o-out there, I-I will!"

He was caught in a terrifying place, either he braved the hallway and the showers at that time of day when he probably wouldn't be able to hide his teary face, or.. he took his chances with whatever had Finn smiling.

His fear and indecision kept him frozen in place, except for another little shake of his head. Oliver didn't dare ignore the question altogether.

Well, that was apparently one way to get him to eat the cookie. A point that would be well remembered and perhaps utilized again someday if there ever came another occasion for such tactics again.

"No. Not later." He was still giving that cold smile combined with a light shake of his head. Calm. Not going to get angry, not outwardly at least. "I can't trust you to go later."

And he could pretty much guarantee that if he left now, that door was going to be locked behind him, and he wouldn't be able to get back in short of busting it down, which he didn't want to do.

Deus would probably take the damages out of his pay, or take payment out of his other eye.

The shake of the other mans head made Finn sigh inwardly. "I thought you were supposed to be smart, Oliver." He was grinning now, and quite wickedly.

"One last chance to figure it out, or I'll demonstrate."

Oliver was usually a smart kid. He had book smarts in plenty, a good knack for problem solving, and thrived on textbooks some people wouldn't survive trying to read the first chapter. Give him a puzzle and he could sit down quite happily and figure it out.

But he was, at that moment, mentally run down from beating himself up all day. The cogs of his mind were hardly clicking anymore, the only thing getting through in coherent sentences was his fear of leaving his room, his fear of having to potentially shower in front of other people, and perhaps most of all... His fear of what Finn's wicked smile had in store for him.

Nervous eyes darted to the door, and it was impossible to tell if he was considering going out there on his own, or weighing his chances of successful escape.

A second later the answer became 'neither' as he tried to dive under the thin covers on his bed and simply hide from all his fears.

As soon as he saw Oliver's eyes flick towards the door, he was prepared for the young man to bolt, muscles tensing up as he expected himself to soon need to lunge for him, to put his boasts into demonstrative action when he had hoped that Oliver would go along with what he was telling him to do without all of that extra effort.

"Oliver..." A warning in his tone, the first hint that he was becoming slightly exasperated by this entire situation.

The other man moved, and Finn moved as well, but in the wrong direction as it seemed that Oliver wasn't trying to escape. Well. Not exactly, anyways.

"Oh for...." Finn gritted his teeth against what he was thinking of saying next, instead turning and stalking towards the dresser, pulling open drawers, pulling out items. Socks, underwear, t-shirt, jeans. He assumed they were all clean at least, unlike the teen hiding under his bed covers.

Slamming the doors closed, he then went back to the bed, put the clothes down on their edge, and flipped the covers back.

"It means I won't have any trouble doing this he said." Again, quite calm as he made a grab for the young man. "Jesus Christ kid if you wanted me to shower with you, you could have just asked. You're going about this the difficult way."

Oliver had just enough time to thoroughly bury himself by the time Finn finished gathering his clothes, but the blankets were pulled away like they were nothing. He yelped, and violently jerked away...

But at the same time he seemed to forget it was only a single sized bed. The back of his head hit the wall with a resounding thud, one that could probably be heard half way down the hall at least. The tears that came to his eyes then were purely reflexive. "...ow..." he said, seemingly stunned by the action.

The blow was enough to snap him out of the gathering panic, and with Finn's hand now firmly gripping his arm, he gave up the fight. There were no more attempts to escape, but neither was he moving forward with the whole 'let's go shower now' plan.

Finn was absolutely one hundred percent done with ******** around. Oliver didn't want to eat the cookies? He didn't want to have a shower? Well, that was just too god damn bad because the Moon intermediate was going to make damn sure that he was going to do both. One single measly little cookie was not going to appease him.

This had now become a battle. No, a war! And he was going to win.

He had a hold of Oliver now, but the poor boy was looking completely terrified, and pathetic. With a roll of his eye, he grabbed for the blanket again with his free hand, and tossed it over that stupid sad eyed face, then let him go as he swiftly bundled him up in the blanket, and lifted him up off of the bed.

Screw the clean clothes. The kid was going as he was.

"Well, I hope you're happy, princess. Things could have gone a lot easier then all of this if you'd just done what I'd told you to do from the start." He made his way to the door, and with some fancy maneuvering, ended up getting it open.

There was somebody in the hallway, and they stopped to give him raised eyebrows at the bundle he held in his arms.

"Just doing some laundry." He grinned, with that same cold glint in his eye that was always present.

....Never mind that the "laundry" was possibly struggling right now.

Oliver merely flinched as the blanket was thrown back over him, but it settled along with a sense of relief. Maybe Finn had realized how much he didn't want to go, and was letting him have his blanket back. Maybe he had given up. The kid had just enough time to sigh before he felt the fabric being pulled under him. And then he realized he had given the Moon intermediate way too much credit.

"H-hey, wait!" He yelped, finding himself suddenly bundled up and lifted off the bed. Squirming didn't get him freed from the blankets, nor did it give him room to properly struggle. "I-I said I would go later!" He squeaked, wiggling around uselessly in the fabric that kept him trapped. "Finn!"

But it was hopeless. Finn hadn't been making idle threats when he mentioned he was stronger, but Oliver had never been kidnapped for personal hygiene reasons before. How was he supposed to know this would be the consequence of saying no?

There had been fair warning. He had tried. He had even given his most intimidating stare down. Now, Oliver was going to get what Finn figured the young man had coming to him. There was no hesitation, no second thoughts, and absolutely no way in hell the moon was going to feel even remotely bad for what he was about to do.

Hefting his bundle into a better position, he started down the hallway towards the men's showers. He entered, with barely a glance towards the few occupants already utilizing the facilities, and headed straight for the nearest vacated stall.

He then stopped, shrugged, and entered the stall so that he could get the shower turned on, not caring if he got a bit wet himself before he backed out, waited for the water to warm, and with one swift movement, adjusted his grip on the blanket to roll it open, none to gently allowing it's bundle to then roll out of it's fabric packaging and into the shower itself, clothes and all.

Because there was no way in hell those didn't need washing as well.

"Be sure to scrub your hair." He said in the most deadpan voice.

So done with your s**t, Oliver.

Oh no. Nooo no no no.

Oliver had ceased his struggling, but it started up again the minute he realized there were other people in the shower area. He could hear the spray of water even through the thick blanket. "Finn, let me g- OH!"

Suddenly the firm arms trapping him inside the blanket disappeared, and he landed hard on the tile. Pain radiated from the elbow and hip that received the worst from the fall, but whatever magic they referred to as 'shields' seemed to keep him safe from damage. Would he even have a bruise after this?

He sat up and rubbed his elbow. "Okay, I-I'm in the shower. Y-you can go now," the kid said, and it was probably the closest he had come to showing some backbone since arriving on the island. It was borderline sass even. And the miserable kid was so uncomfortable about the whole shared showers situation that he naively believed it was the worst Finn would do to him, abandon him in there to either scrounge up a towel, or walk back to his room in wet clothes.

With a blush growing on his cheeks and a stubborn refusal to look up, he got to his feet and cranked the temperature up hotter.

Finn snorted, and shook his head. Oliver telling him to go away wasn't actually intimidating in any way shape or form, and even if it was, the moon intermediate still would have laughed in his face at the attempt. Instead of turning and leaving, he busied himself with taking off his own jacket, folding it and setting it to the side, before working on loosening the tie around the collar of his shirt, that coming off next.

His fingers started working on the buttons at the front of his shirt.

It would appear Finn wasn't lying about showering with him.

Oliver continued to adjust the temperature to something just short of scalding, but when he heard Finn's snort he glanced over his shoulder.

"W-wait, what are you doing!?" He squeaked, shying away from the other man. "There a-are plenty of other showers!"

With the steam now rising from the stall in great warm billows, Oliver's freckled blush would soon be disguised by the pink-cheeked warmth around them. Why did Finn have to be so persistent... And why did everyone on the island except Oliver seem to have enough muscle to fight a bear?

He glanced away quickly, once again looking anywhere but at his partially dressed companion. "I-I'll j-just go shower o-over there," he stammered, trying to inch around Finn and vacate the stall.
