Mikhail smiled " If I am not mistaken half of the point of most sports is running away... Running away from the guys trying to take the ball... running away from the guy trying to tackle you... " He took out a piece of paper and wrote down his phone number on it, along with his home number. Because his parents back in the day of dial up got tired of him tiring up the land land as a child, his bedroom had its own phone number.
" Running away from the other guy who is trying to run away faster than you... " He gave a small smile. " And then the other half of sports are just running towards something. Which is really the same thing as running away.. just backwards. " He gave a little bit of a goofy grin and handed the paper over to him. " So if you think about it that makes you perfect for sports! That has my numbers on it, My cell phone is back in my locker Or I would have just texted them to you. Well figure out a time to play around with some of the robots. I'm sure if you can fix broken things around the home that these will be right up your alley. Who knows maybe we can kidnap you into the Engineering class."

"Yeah, but I hafta be quicker than the person chasing me, and that's not always a sure fire thing." Rene grinned before shrugging. "And there's the risk of getting seriously hurt, since some of the players have a half foot or more in height on me. Just cause they can tackle each other and walk it off like it's nothing doesn't mean I can." Perhaps he'd look into something that was a little less... dangerous. Though, compared to what he was faced with on a nightly basis? Any sport he signed up with would basically prove harmless.
Rene smiled and accepted the paper before tearing a scrap for himself and jotting both his home and cell phone numbers down. "I gave you both, but it might be safer to just use my cell... Unless we want Thea eaves dropping on us." Sure it was childish, but Rene knew she couldn't resist a chance to tease the hell out of her older brother.
"If we can't figure a time to meet up here at school, we can always go to my house or something." Rene laughed. "Maybe. I might look into an engineering class if they have em over at the campus when I graduate."

Mikhail accepted the scrap of paper, glancing at before he folded it in half and slipped it into his pocket. " You know... I have only known you for a day, and I have only heard you talk of T-thea twice... but it kind of m-makes me glad i'm an only child. " He said it with a laugh, but he blushed faintly, the words had already left his mouth when he realized that Rene might take offence.
" Not t-that there is anything wrong with sister. It just sounds like a... uh.. um... H-high maintenance life situation...? " He said, grinning slightly, realizing that that didn't make what he said any kinder, and he felt like he could just stick his foot in his mouth. Really, make a potential new friend, insult his family less then 4 hours after meeting. Great job.
" Sure! Either here or your place, that's fine " He said, trying to distract from his social blunders. Sometimes he felt like a bull in a china shop when he was talking to people, seriously. A clumsy cross eyed bull. " Oh... your graduating this year? " For some reason he had initially thought that the boy was younger than him, and now Mikhail felt silly for such an assumption.

Rene just laughed. "Yeah well... Don't get use to it. Because if we end up hanging out more, you'll see her a lot. She has a habit of becoming that 'sibling you never knew you had'." There was a muffled snort and a quiet 'Does she ever...' from Alexis at his desk. "So kiss your only child status goodbye. Runt will pretty much adopt you on the spot."
"Nah, We get along pretty well despite our moments. Their both alright." Rene shrugged lightly draping his arms behind his desk and stretching. "Mhmm... so I'll be going to DCU in the fall." If he could figure out a major. "But Thea goes to Crystal so I'll end up passing here to pick her up from school."

" Oh... y-yay? ' he wasn't sure if he should be terrified or thrilled. He always wanted a sibling, but being forcefully adopted by two, what he could only visualize as tiny feisty little girls, was a potentially overwhelming prospect. But not entirely unwelcome. His parents were both career driven types, so his parents had never even entertained the thought of another child, and their group of friends were all of the same mindset, so there hadn't been many children in his families inner circle. He hadn't even really interacted with younger children sense he was a younger child. Mikhail visible gulped but he still had a small smile on his face. " Oh well, least they live with you, and I don't have to give up my second room ' He said, trying to sound more aloof then he felt.
Mikhail had a distinct feeling that he had just been chucked off the calm deck of his nice safe boat into the crazy swirling waters that he would soon come to know as the Rivers family.
He wasn't sure why, he had just met the boy, but he was suddenly filled with an intense feeling of sadness to learn that there was only a few months left of the attending the same school. Maybe it was just losing the thought of someone who had such potential to be a good friend so early, but it still seemed like a disproportionate amount of... feeling... for a friend he had just made.
Mikhail shrugged it off. Maybe he was extra emotional because he was dreading telling his family about his detention. Ok. Maybe not his parents. But his house keeper. A sweet little old lady that had been like a part of his family sense he was five years old, had a way of making him feel worse about things with a single look that said she had disappointed her, that anything his parents could say.
The thought of Rene coming by every day peeked his interest. " you walk your sister home.. That is so... sweet. " He couldn't help the big goofy grin that came across his face. Rene did not look like the over protective type to walk his baby sister home. Heck, the tiny, pretty, delicate young man looked like that maybe he should have an chaperon home. The thought made him feel guilty just thinking about it, but it was still true.
Well, maybe Rene Rivers was going to be full of all sorts of surprises.
