Leilani almost jumped out of her skin when the entire rock pile crashed down behind them with a roar so deafening she had a slight ringing in her ears afterward, but she was so grateful that she had gotten out alive no matter how badly wounded. Her rescuer nudged her toward a grassy knoll that held a small but wonderfully shady tree and she walked slowly, limping to it to lay down as well as she could.
Her breathing was still shallow but at least she wasn't running anymore so it was evening out.
One of her legs was painfully throbbing and she assumed she might have a small fracture or maybe a severe bruise. Either could cause such a pain as she was feeling. Her wing though was the worst of it. It was hanging down at her side, flopped uselessly in the grass, obviously broken in multiple spots but thankfully no bone pierced the tender skin.
When Ellion spoke again she smiled haltingly, "You do have... A good point, sir." She tried again to remember what her name was but oddly only a few letters came to mind. L, E, and A... Was that her name Lea? Mentally nodding she supposed it would have to do. "I seem to recall, some letters... But nothing quite feels right. Lea is what comes to mind. Maybe you could use that?" Speaking was difficult and her words came slowly and disjointed.
