"Surprised? No." He might have said more if he was less aware of presumed notions. Had he remarked upon how fit her legs were, she was bound to take it one of several wrong ways. "Of course you wouldn't be a bother. It'll be nice to have you around for once. Do you have anything with you to bring up?"
Really, living in the trees was becoming a more obviously inconvenient affair. It was almost as if he had been hiding all those years, wanting to remain unreachable. It was time to move toward the ground.

She smiled. "Good, so you won't be easy on me. I'm just as capable, maybe even more, than some of the others around here." she said with a smug smile. "And I have one or two bags, just clothing mostly and some food I found on the road for Jania." She had left her bags at the caravan, she didn't expect to be moving in so soon. "They won't be leaving for a few days though, so if anything we can leave my bag there until than."
She looked around. "You seem to have enough space down here to build a pretty nice sized place." Maybe a place that she could one day call home permanently? She didn't forget the kiss she gave him before she left last time, or his expression when he did.

"I'll be sure to tell Enu you said that," Nyiim chuckled, shaking his head. The poor guy tried, he really did, but he didn't imagine Enu would ever manage building a house.
"We can get them now, later, when ever. Usually people are pretty good about giving their scraps to Bosede, but he, uh... he can handle himself, mostly. Apparently sailscales eat bugs in nature? So I'm trying to get Isala to become self-sufficient too. He's partial to jerky right now..." But he had just gone on a bit of a tangent hadn't he? Niadra was coming to stay with him. He was talking about his plans for a house. That was more important.
"Ah... yes! Yes, this is actually the land family used to live on, when we were together. Under the tree, granted. I couldn't bear to see it any more after Mother disappeared." 'Disappeared' was the way he explained it to avoid pity parties and prying personal questions. "I imagine it won't be too bad to have a new structure entirely. I could have a cellar, even. How novel. Just, you know... in the future, some day..." He looked to her, his smile gone and his eyes become something soft and sparkling. He had never discussed his thoughts of a family with anyone, even Niadra. He wasn't even sure he ever had considered having a family, but everything just seemed so different and new now, since his appointed mission. He gave an awkward laugh and wiped his mouth nervously before pointing to an area of weed-ridden ground. "Build it up around there, I think. For now, though, you're stuck in the trees. I hope you're not afraid of heights."

She laughed. It was what it was. Some people were more suited for hard work than others. And for dancers their work wasn't normal, but it was also hard work. She loved Enu, he was a fun guy, but he wasn't a hard worker. It would actually be amusing to see Enu try and help out. Than again he would be more likely more a hindrance than a help.
"Yeah we can just get them later. And I'm not sure if Jania can handle feeding herself... Maybe she will get better at it with Bosede." she said looking at the two creatures still playing. Maybe being around an older animal could kind of show her the way?
When he explained that his family use to live there she nodded. She didn't know that, she had figured they had lived up in the tree. Or someone else really. But on the ground? That meant there was a home there, and it was tore down. But she understood, if he couldn't bear to see it than that was the best move for him. And now rebuilding it was a sign of something new. She was proud of him, picking a path and building a house, he was really growing up. The look he had on his face while he spoke was one she didn't recognize. What did it mean? "Nope, no fear here. I'm practically fearless." she said with a laugh.

"Where ever Bosede came from, he must have been left partially to his own. He's good about not eating other pets, luckily. Maybe he can teach her a thing or two." He smiled at the pair playing. How lucky that Niadra should end up with a raptrix too! Bosede had never had a proper playmate, not that he wouldn't give it all in a game of fetch.
"Good. Would you like to go up now? Or we could go for a walk, out scavenging. I'm asked to do a lot less o that now. I kind of miss it. An excuse to be outside the settlement, seeing things, you know?"

She laughed. She could only imagine the mayhem that Bosede would have created if he had gone about eating other people's pets. "Let's hope so, I might have babied her a little too much so she is completely dependent on me." she said with a half smile. It was true that she babied Jania, but how could she not? Jania was her baby.
"Yea, we could just go get my stuff since you aren't busy. And trust me, I'm hoping I don't get too crazy staying in one place. Though our adventures should be more than enough for me." she said with a smile as she started walking towards her families camp.
grasshopper pie We could end here and start another with them adventuring?
