He stabbed another two shadows in the face, spinning to try to keep up with the pulsating mass of shadows. It was hard to knock out many of them when there were so many making it difficult to see and move. He was managing though. Status Wave: 2 Attack Dmg: 2 Total Shadowlings taken out: 8 Recoveries left:

He stumbled as the shadows clung to his legs and tried to knock him down, but he managed to balance himself and strike out with a fist. It was hard to get the space to swing his huge weapon, though.

It was no use struggling, though. He went down again as more shadow kept coming. It seemed like every time he was within reach of the portal, the shadows got too strong for him to overcome.
The shadows cleared as the senior hunter rescued him, and Feng hung his head in shame as he was patched up. He knew he should try again, try harder to make it to the end of the tunnel, but he was tired and beat up. This course could wait until another day. Maybe a trainee wasn't supposed to be able to beat it so easily. He had a long way to go til he was confident with it. Status Wave: 4 Attack Dmg: 1 Total Shadowlings taken out: 7 Recoveries left:
