"No, actual puppies. No cerberus or wolfman." He sighed. Just once, once, he wanted something nice to happen. then everything could go back to the usual day in day out 'god what this time'. When 'Land picked up his pace he did too, almost skidding into him as he rounded the corner himself. "Besides. I'm pretty sure if Cerberus shows up it's going to eat a few people befo..." He paused mid sentence as a rather familiar smell hit his nose. "Burned bodies." Great. So the torment of memories he didn't want to have wasn't going away any time soon. A smell like that wasn't something you -ever- forgot.

Joy turned towards the voice, voices as two more Hunters appeared. And she knew them to be Hunters because they had weapons. Well, one of them had a weapon, the other just sounded like he wasn't seeing anything out of the ordinary. Jesus, was everyone here so desensitized to this sort of thing? She wasn't panicking or freaking out, which up until that moment never occurred to her until she thought about ******** you, brain, she mentally growls and resists the urge to grab onto Davey's coat for reassurance. He probably has a lot on his mind at the moment, the last thing he needs is for her to hold him back as a non-Hunter.
"I don't know if it is or isn't zombies," she said, glancing back at the mutilated corpses. "But doesn't blood of that color mean it's not a very recent death?" She'd gotten herself into enough scrapes and injuries to remember how bright freshly spilled blood was.

One of the seemingly dead bodies suddenly made a noise. It sounded a little like a groan, and maybe even like a small plea for help, followed by a cue for water. The other lay perfectly still.

Davey is jarred to have two voices replying to his comment. "At.. what? No, I doubt it." If the monsters were invading, it wouldn't just be zombies. And it doesn't seem much like them to announce themselves this way, writing in blood on the walls. The last invasion he was here for was more of a giant, unorganised mob swarming them across the fields. Faint chatter reaches his ears. He looks over his shoulder to see two Hunters approaching. He doesn't recognise them, but he's grateful for some backup in case whoever killed the victims is still around. The topic of conversation has him scowling. The last thing he needs is for them to rile Joy up. "They're not zombies," he snaps. ... Right before one of the bodies groans. Azrael's tip is pointed at the throat of the form in question out of habit. It takes Davey's brain longer to parse 'help' and 'water' out of the garbled words. "Is this one still alive?" he whispers, shocked. He bends down, reaching out for the wrist of the one that had made the noises. And although Azrael has been drawn back, Davey still has his sword poised to strike if this somehow does turn out to be a zombie. He really hopes Joy and the new Hunters haven't jinxed them into a zombie invasion.

Joy doesn't expect the groan and the sound startles her into a yelp of "My brains don't taste good!" and a step backwards away from the bodies. It takes her a moment to realize it wasn't the groan of a zombie, just someone very, very hurt.
"There's a medical facility here, isn't there? A clinic at the very least?" she asks, trying to remember whatever first aid she'd learned (at the insistence of her mother). She knows more about dealing with breaks and cuts and pulled muscles than she does burns but she knows something this bad needs professional attention. "You all got phones, don't you? Shouldn't someone call 911 or whatever this place's equivalent of it is?" Her voice is surprisingly even for someone who just declared the non-deliciousness of her brain a few seconds ago.
She's kneeling beside Davey, or as close as she can without getting in the large sword's way. "The rest of the body looks untouched but we can't say that for sure. Are they going into shock?" she murmurs. She hopes they're not, she doesn't remember what the ******** to do aside from not moving the body and checking their airways. And she really doesn't want to have to do CPR but she will if she has to. Joy refuses to be dead weight just because she doesn't have a weapon-bond-thing.

He wasn't entirely sure as to what the Deus Ex equivalent of 911 was, but he knew who his own go to for being an expert was. It was her own fault, really, having taken the initiative to make herself his unofficial sensei from day one. Lilwolfpard Incoming Text Message: Yo, Ceres. Hotrod here. Got some fresh bodies. Might be dead. Might not be. Procedures? He stuck his phone back into a different pocket than the one that Inoke had stuffed it into, putting it within easier reach should he get any sort of response. "I've notified someone else from Moon. We might find ourselves with another bandaid box soon, but in the meantime... Defensive might be the best way to go about it." Which, in his opinion, meant not getting too close to the mystery corpses, unlike the first two on the scene. A few thoughts passed through his mind before he sighed, bringing his own scarf up over his face so that he could step a bit closer just in case someone was needed to quickly pull the other two back away from the (un)dead. "What division are they?" He questioned whether or not anyone had checked their coats, obviously unable to identify them any other way.

With a flick of his wrist he summoned Vi into her full form, handle settling easily in his palm. At least with her there he felt a -little- safer if one of the bodies decided it was tired of sitting down. < EW! ew ew ew ew ew why did you have to find bodies .... Eeeewww it's talking!>"Did that one just ... hey, um. I'm not sure getting that close is a good idea." He picked up one end of his scarf and wrapped it around his face, tucking it up so he could at least try to block out some of the smell. "Just because they're in our clothes dosen't mean it's safe. Did you text Ceres?" Land had texted someone and he figured that was who it was. Watching the other two get closer to the bodies he cringed. "We've got medical facilities, sort of, but i'm not sure there's ..." That much blood and wounds that bad he wasn't sure anyone was going to come back from that. Not without serious medical help and they didn't have a hospital that good and no way to keep wounds like that as sterile as they'd need to be unless he'd missed something somewhere.

She got texts often, but normally they were stupid little things like Bix and her text warring each other with images of cats. Rarely was it about dead bodies. Quickly she fired a few texts back at him, in rapid succession. Skye Starrfyre Text to Land:Where are you? She grabbed her gear, about ready to dart out the door. Only... Skye Starrfyre Text to Land:...And what do you mean 'might' be dead? He said bodies, so that of course meant dead right? Ceres picked up a few more supplies while waiting. What if they were alive?

"Yeah." He lifted his eyes briefly to Inoke as he drew his phone out again, clearly expecting the other to watch his back while his thumb moved over the buttons to send a response to the series of texts that he had received. Lilwolfpard Text to Ceres: By the gym. Writing on the walls and three dead hunters. Look like hunters at least. Not sure. No faces. And then as an after thought. Lilwolfpard Text to Ceres: One of them talked. Bring water? Hope you like bbq. Whoever did this to them did... "She's on her way. Might punch me when she gets here, but she's on her way."

Joy just nods, not saying anything about not knowing what exactly the other Hunter meant by Moon. Something in the conversation catches her attention, "What do you mean by "in our clothes"?" she glances back, nearly misses the female name "Wait, did you say Ceres? And what's this about a Moon?"
She's grateful to be on the ground and so close to the corpses she can pretend her sudden unbalance to the smell rather than the onrush of her own attack's memory. There had been the image of a moon on white, a woman applying bandages that stopped the bleeding long enough until the ambulance arrived, the name spoken.
Joy tries to shake her head clear.xlilwolfpard Joy says I remember you but will totally understand if you don't her.

Peeking open her phone she doubled back and grabbed two more spare water bottles from their rations in Bix's room. She had insisted they buy into them, just for such cases. Stuffing them into her hip pouches she made her way towards the Gym, pulling on her moon coat along the way. Writing on the walls, plus faceless hunters did not sound good. It was reminding her a little much of a certain incident that once happened, and made her pick up her pace soon enough. Once she grew closer she noticed the small group gathered, giving them all nods. "Sup, Hotrod." She gave Land a small smile, but didn't punch him. Maybe next time, Land. She didn't know the others that well, but she still greeted them. Davey had the same thought she had on the way here and had his blade pointed at the bodies on the ground. She nodded at him again. "I agree." She flicked her eyes warily down at the bodies, hoping he would understand what she meant. She heard someone mentioning something about 911, but just briefly while on her walk over so she waited to talk about that. Looking towards Joy briefly she answered the question, even if late. "We don't really have a equivalent of 911 on the island." It was apparent she did not remember the other woman, to her this was her first time meeting. She made her way towards the hunters on the ground, choosing seeing if they were alive took priority. "Instead we have Moon division for emergency in field medical, and a full functioning hospital in Life division." She popped open her hip pouch and brought out one of the water bottles she brought with her. "I've seen worse than this and seen them survive." Ceres also tossed at Inoke as she leaned over towards the bodies. She trusted Davey to watch out, just in case. "Our bonds with our weapons prevent us from dying that easily, sometimes for better or worse." She hoped these guys were dead, they were really messed up and would take a while to recover if so. Reaching out with a gloved hand, she carefully tried to feel for a pulse. "Hey, its okay. I have water here for you. Can you hear me?" She chose to leave out she was a hunter too, just in case. This reminded her too much of a incident that she was gratefully not a part of, but saw unfurl.

“H…Hey guys someone said you were up here and ah…ah…oh.. OH dear.” He said turning subdued at the vision of what was before him. “Ah..sorry, I expected a lot more ammmmmm….”he waved his hands slightly as though he could explain what he’d been expecting to see Davie and Joy in the middle of, though the effect was somewhat lessened by the fact that there were dead bodies, or… mostly dead bodies there too. … “Huh…” he said quietly, though his eyes went strait to Joy , eyebrows arched as though to say.. ‘zombies… ZOMBIES? Seriously… zombies.’

He caught the bottle of water easily enough and after looking at it for a moment cracked it open. Ignoring Vi's tsking in his head he took a rather large gulp of the water for himself hoping it would get some of the taste of burned flesh and gore out of his mouth.
It didn't.
"I sorta hope they're not alive cause if they are ... like that ..." He knew how much a burn, a real proper blackened flesh burn, hurt. For it to be as bad as the victims looked he knew he'd rather be dead.

He glanced over at Inoke briefly as the other caught the bottle of water, expecting him to stoop down and assist Ceres and Davey in checking the bodies because that was what sensei had implied... But he didn't. His face dropped slightly as he watched the Sun hunter take a sip of the water. "Dude." He smacked Inoke's arm with the back of his hand before gesturing down to the others, taking up a defensive pose again to show that he was more than ready to attack the first one of the bodies to rise up against Ceres... Or any of the others, for that matter. He glanced over at the new arrival. "Hey, man... Hold back. We're still not sure what we're looking at here. No sense in all of us getting too close." There was concern edging into his voice. How would he be able to protect or defend all of them if something did happen? You don't have to protect everyone all the time. He swallowed as the words from his death in the dream land filtered into his head, shuddering slightly before trying to shake it off. < Steady. Stay alert. Stay ready, Arland. It will not do at all to miss out on this chance to advance your skills..> "Ice it, Darth." He muttered.

The barely alive Hunter coughed, wheezed even, and then began choking on his own blood. He forced himself to his side and then managed to rasp out a single word -
- "...n"
Thump.
In the distance, something slammed against the side of the wall and then a series of thumps all at different intervals, as if a barrage of people were slamming against the wall opposite to them.
"Run."
The wall caved in, it crumbled and staring down the group was an army. They were grey, barely forming bodies, faces bland and pale. Most were missing arms and legs, some had too many, and they all moved with a strange, slow, deliberate purpose towards the Hunters. There were simply too many of them and in a moment they overwhelmed all those around. OOC BATTLE! - All ??? Your goal is to ESCAPE. Do so by rolling 1d6. Every single time you roll a 1 or 6 you encounter a mob! You must roll 3 times to escape out of the area. - Every time you summon a mob, it has 10 HP. Use your regular dice and stamina to attack! It does 3 auto damage! You can assist other people with their mobs! If you are a quest, you CANNOT attack, you must also roll 1d6 3 times to escape, and if you encounter a mob, it automatically does 5 damage to you. You only have 10 HP. You CAN be defended ie: someone defends you, you roll to escape, they take the damage, but you cannot be healed.
