Chel looked at the message alongside Deryk, equally confused at first. Oddly, the way the letters were capitalized made her think of-
-"ALICE." That was the little girl they'd seen, wasn't it? Or maybe ALICE just had a very similar frame to most little girls ... Still, ALICE was one typo'd V away from ALIVE. Something she'd tuck away for later.
The click of a camera phone alerted her that a third person had joined them. Mark? That was this guy's name? "I don't know Deryk, I might have killed him," she said, waving her weapon around. "I have such a motive, what with how we were getting coffee and then I picked up his cell phone. Very suspicious."
She rolled her eyes and called out to the other guy. "Oy, you know who this dude is?"

"D-don't move." Mark looked much more jittery than usual. "Don't- don't hurt me okay? I know you guys, whatever you thought you were doing, thought uh, stuff, but it'll be okay okay? Just, just drop your weapons and come with me."
He placed one hand up in what he thought was a soothing gesture but didn't make any attempts to come any closer.

At Mark's request, Chel looked at Deryk, and then back to Mark. Seriously?
She shrugged, desummoning her weapon and putting her hands back into her hoodie pocket. "'Kay. What now?" She took a step or two forward, intending to follow him where he led.

Deryk didn't move a muscle. However, he glanced over at Chel and furrowed his brow. "..Nothelping.."With a sort of frown, he desummoned his weapon as well and kept his hands up. He took a couple steps forward towards Mark. "Don't wanna hurt you. We didn't do anything. I swear."

Mark seemed really relieved. "Okay, thank god. For a second I was like - wow I was gonna show you my Jedi skills, and then I was like - wait a second I shouldn't abuse my powers even if you guys turned to the Dark side and stuff, but I'm glad I used my Jedi mind reading powers to figure this out."
He paused. "Uh, just leave the - the casualty, I'll get like, Otto to clean it up or something," even if Otto was in the wrong division, -"I got like, specific orders from the higher ups to log this kind of stuff and you guys are the only perpetr- I mean, witnesses, and stuff." He was texting as he talked, leading them down the hall, and there was a buzz as someone responded back to his message pretty quickly.
"Okay, Caelius is free, we'll just pop by the office, you guys will explain yourselves, and uh, I'll- I'll wait outside. And encourage you. With my Jedi powers"

Deryk bowed his head. "Hope I have not disappointed.."Though, he soon went rigid. "..Wait. We. We gotta go see Caelius? Do we really really really have to?"

Chel watched the exchange between the two with a sort of plain moroseness.
When Deryk started asking questions, Chel stepped forward to put a hand over his mouth. "Yeah. We'd love to meet Caelius. Great guy. Looking forward to it." She'd never met Caelius, but she'd heard horror stories.
Somehow, that made it that much more fun. She wanted to see if Caelius was really as ******** up as they said. "Lead the way, sir."

Mark stopped right in front of the office. "What?" He suddenly said, having zoned out for some reason. Upon closer inspection there were dark circles under his eyes. He really didn't look too good at all. "Oh yeah um, yeah. We're here."
He just sort of stood there. Behind him was the open office door and behind that was the somewhat infamous Death lead sitting at his desk, writing something into some report or another. In one of the many smaller desks off to the side was a short dark-skinned kid taking a nap over a large briefcase. Upon hearing Chel and Deryk arrive at the door, the kid opened one eye and gave them a thumbs up, sort of inviting the two inside.

Deryk gave a sort of whine but didn't say anything else as they walked along. He was very tense now, and he was probably a few shades more pale than usual. In his nervousness, he didn't take note of Mark's apparent lack of sleep. Instead, he was focused on his boss that was sitting in the office. There was a kid there too but he also didn't pay him a lot of mind. "D-d-deryk Bond. Reporting..sir.." he gulped upon stepping in. He was starting to get light headed.

Chel was nothing but amused at Mark's twitchy behavior. She knew the guy was a real pain in the a** according to stories from her friends, but nothing else really. So it was funny to watch him squirm. She did pity the dark circles though- lack of sleep was never fun.
"Ey, thanks stumpy," she said, patting Mark on the head. "Remind me not to totally murder you later." She lurched towards him with spooky scary intent, but then laughed at her own joke and headed in to the office.
In the office she was greeted by an official looking man (she assumed that was the one called Caelius) and a younger looking person she didn't know. Deryk spoke first, but she quickly followed him up. "Chelsea Craft, sun hunter sir. I really dig the hair, how did you only get one part dyed like that, it's so rad-"

"Eh," Oz replied to Chelsea, totally misinterpreting the comment, "I thought about how much I hated you and dyed it accordingly." He said this and gave Chelsea the best angry stare he could muster, which wasn't much since he ended up yawning halfway.
The Death lead seemed to have zoned out any more, not even having registered that Deryk and Chelsea were in the room. Well, either that or he just didn't quite care. There was absolutely no response from him and he just continued to work, writing fastidiously away onto the margin of a mission report in perfect lettering.
The door had slammed closed behind the two, most likely because Mark wasn't good with conflict.

Deryk gave Chel a wild sort of look when she started talking. He was half expecting an execution on the spot right about now. But by some luck it seemed that Caelius didn't take note. He relaxed by a margin before looking at the other in the room that he wasn't so familiar with. "U-um... Right. Soo... uh... We found a dead Death Hunter.. Cafeteria. Near coffee machine."He really wished that Mark hadn't shut the door. He couldn't escape now.

Chel was surprised to see her question to Caelius was answered by the second one. "Oh. Well yours is cool too-" He yawned part way through the end and she added, "You been missin' sleep too? You take part in that freaky dream thing?"
She looked to Caelius, but he was apparently very busy writing something down. She figured that meant he didn't care enough to add to the conversation at the moment. Chel was more than happy to fill the gaps with her chatter.
"Oh yeah, yeah what Deryk said. Mark thinks we killed him which I think is hilarious." In case anyone wanted Chel's opinion on the matter (they didn't). "He had a cell phone with the word ALIVE on it, and we saw a little girl that was super creepy." She put a finger on her chin, tapping in thought. "I didn't know the guy though. Did you Deryk?" She perked up and looked back to Caelius. "Or I guess it would be better to ask you. Death lead and all. Who was that guy?"
