I'm beginning to think this was done purely to give Byran a heel to rival his newfound stardom. Since WWE and Taker surely knew that giving the anthesis of what fans wanted to see end the streak (a part timer, a known denouncer of professional wrestling, a veteran, a heel) would piss them off enough to want to see the inevutable slaying of "The Beast That Broke The Streak". As it stands, the two men are just about the only ones worthy of each other now that Lesnar did the unthinkable and D-Bry beat Evolution clean in one night. But if they put Lesnar over Bryan in the long run, which I sincerely doubt, then it's time to lose all hope.

Now that you put it that way, I can see why having Brock break the streak was a good idea. But that would ONLY work if that is the case, in which Bryan is set up to Slay The Beast.

Through I could see Punk filling that role just as well.

Actually, I think Punk's done for a while. If he was coming back, it would have been for Mania. But with the biggest WM in history behind us now, the pressure is off Punk to make a return. Yeah, they could throw Lesnar at him to tie into The Streak and Paul E. Dangerously, but I think WWE has decided to just let Punk come back on his own time and focus on the blossoming NXT roster and other rising talent they already have. Bryan vs. Lesnar writes itself, and I think part of Bryan's mega push this year was spitefully directed at Punk, with the mentality that Punk wasn't a team player like Bryan is. Whether that's true or false, I don't see WWE laying out the red carpet for Punk to slay Lesnar. Lesnar's next major move will be for the world title now, and Punk probably still wants to decompress. He's probably just as upset about Lesnar winning, since it validated the issue he was leaving over. Part timers getting rubs that committed wrestlers don't. But if he's gone too long, Punk might fall into that category, himself.

You wanna know what's really ******** up about this whole thing?

I just read at ewrestlingnews.com, that Lesnar might be done with WWE.

Talk about kicking someone while there down! After beating the Streak could have been used as one of the ultimate pushes for one very lucky young superstar, they give that privilege to Lesnar, who didn't need it. SO NOW apparently he wants to head back to MMA, saying there is nothing in WWE for him ******** BULLSHIT!!!!! scream

All I got to say is ******** you Brock Lesnar. ******** you...

On this topic, while I agree it COULD have gone to someone else, let's be logical. WWE didn't do this. Undertaker did. He's apparently wanted to drop the Streak to Lesnar for some time now, so being mad at WWE is rather pointless (hypocritical I know, but I was pretty damn heated when I made this topic). The Undertaker gave it to Lesnar, because he wanted out. It made sense to him. Lesnar's work with WWE won't be known until he does leave, or he doesn't.

That is just speculation, until we hear that from the horses mouth. Cause not to long ago, about a few months before Mania, rumor had it was that Taker wanted to face Bryan at Mania. So yes the streak ending could have been Taker's choice, but to who is still the question. Cause apparently he wanted to end it to Angle in 06, plus with the Rumor of Taker wanting to face Bryan at WM30, is that Taker wanted bryan to have that "rub". But booking and backstage politics kept that match from every happening.

So it's not so much that I'm upset that the Streak ended, I can deal with that, seeing how Taker himself has wanted the streak to end for sometime. But what kills me is who did it, Brock ******** douchebag Lesnar, the p***k that could careless about WWE.

Which, to be frank, is entirely expected of him.

Disagree. The only way Undertaker's streak is ever honored properly after this is if Lesnar Highlander's him and becomes unbeatable and break's D-Bry in to little bitty goat nuggets and breaks Punks title reign record. Anything else is a slap in the face of everyone who faced Taker at mania.

They need to book Lesnar on a three-year-long unbeatable streak. He wins the title a couple times, vacates them right away because he's bigger than the WWE title. Then have him lose to Cesaro at WM33 once Heyman dumps him and you have Lesnar w/ Heyman vs. Cesaro. It shall be perfect

If I were WWE, have Lesnar beat Bryan at Summerslam for the title as the Streak Killer is the number one heel right now. See if Lesnar can maintain the heel heat to Wrestlemania. If it's still strong, the reign of terror continues but if it starts to lessen, our boi D-Bry gets revenge and regains the title at WM31!
