The Champion's baseball slide, his homage to the sport he originally wanted to be part of, was cut short by the giant's grip. He didn't bother putting up a fight against Disciple's attempt to spin him, in fact he seemed to essentially let it happen. And then...
One rotation...
Two rotations...
Three rotations...
Four rotations later, The Storm flew from the man's grip and across the ring, his body bouncing off the bat and coming to a stop near the turnbuckles, laid out on his back.

After releasing Shanahan from his grasp, Disciple joyfully listen to the sound Matt's body made as it hit the canvas. Kicking his leg out and free up any kinks The Champ had implanted into his leg, The Dreadnaught walked over to the God of Punks. With his bear like hand Disciple reached down and to palm Shanahan's head and drag him to his feet. If the big swing had done it's job then Matt's barrings would be a bit loose, and would give Disciple an open opportunity for a textbook bodyslam.

There wasn't much the Champion could do with his equilibrium being rattled as it was from the big swing. Without even realizing it, he was lifted up and slammed back down to the mat for a brutal bodyslam!

With the Champ once again laying on the canvas, Disciple stepped over the Champ running into the ropes. Using the momentum on the rebound, Disciple was hoping to add some power into a elbow drop across Shanahan's sternum. If successful Disciple would remain on top of the Champ for a quick pin attempt. He knew it wouldn't likely lead to a win, but forcing Matt to power out would help work on wearing the Champ down.

There wasn't much the Champion could do as The Dreadnaught came running in and crashing down with that elbow drop; if there was something he could do, he simply chose not to, clearly. The pin attempt was true, but didn't even make it to a two-count. Matt's arm shot up, aiming to smack the side of Disciple's head in the process.

As he expected the Champ had managed to save himself from an early loss. Through he didn't see the slap coming. It rattled The Dreadnaught a bit but not enough through him off course. Getting to a knee, Disciple look to palm Matt's head again and have him stand with him. If Disciple managed to get the Champ to his feet unheeded, Disciple would try and whip the God of Punks into ropes, hoping to catch him on the rebound with a sidewalk slam.

Matt let no resistance show as Disciple hauled him up disrespectfully once more. With the whip into the ropes, The Storm bounded across the mat like rolling thunder. On the rebound, he came sprinting at Disciple, who was just turning his back for the sidewalk slam.
And that's all it took for Shanahan to say, "Nope."
He shifted his course to the side, hoping to catch the Dreadnaught by surprise by kicking him right behind his right knee on his trail. He wasn't going back down to the mat, not yet. That leg was going to go before he was.

The boot connects, stopping Disciple's offense dead in it's tracks. Dropping to a knee, The Dreadnaught reached down in pain, clutching as his knee.

The Giant was knocked down to a knee, giving The Storm the upperhand he needed! Carrying his momentum into the ropes, he rebounded and came hurtling back towards Disciple. His goal? To bring his foot colliding dead-on with the man's skull!

The boot connected, but to the shock of some, the big man wasn't taken all the to the mat. Instead Disciple had managed to get a hand down and stop that. However that didn't change the fact that the shot hurt. Shaking his head, and trying to regain his focus, Disciple remained on one knee, his hand keeping him from falling to the mat.

The entire arena gasped when one of Matt's trademark kicks actually didn't down the giant. It was unheard of, The Storm's feet rarely ever did NOT get the job done. Regardless, the Champion remained unphased by the giant's unbelievable resilience. Instead, he attempted to grab the man's thick skulled, mask covered head and bring his knee colliding upward, straight towards his right eyesocket!

The knee had found it's mark. This time Disciple was more visibly effected by the shot. Through he was now down on the mat, Disciple wasn't one to simply lay there and take it. The behemoth began to crawl towards the ropes, more less dragging himself to them so he could use them to help him stand.

The knee landed true, thus finishing the task Shanahan set out to do. The next step? Win this damn match. Now that was going to be the true test. The 'God of Destruction', as he seemed to be called now, was trying to crawl away towards the ropes. That couldn't fly, right?
Right. The Storm marched after him and attempted to grab the man's right leg, aiming to pull him back towards the middle of the ring! If successful, he'd wrap his hands around the man's limb in an attempt to slap on an ankle lock!

[Auto-Hit]
The Storm's attempts to yank Disciple back towards the center of the ring went uncontested, and his vicegrip on the man's ankle tightened immediately. The ankle lock was on! A move Shanahan had only been seen using the show before, and he was at it again!
With the ankle-deteriorating move applied onto The Dreadnaught's right leg, Matt attempted to wrap his legs around said leg and drop to the mat to fully apply the ability!

Feeling the pain shooting through his ankle caused the monster to groin and grunt in pain. The sound of his agony muffled through the thick leather mask. Coerced to the center of the ring, Disciple clutched his fists in pain, pounding his fist into the mat. However the monster's instinct took over, it was fight or flight. Before Matt could drop down and apply the grapevine, Disciple would look to roll his weight over and use his monstrous strength to pull his feet in and with one powerful push try and knock Matt off of him.
