Avani happily moved the wagon off the ferry. She had come to the conclusion that she did not like boat rides for long periods of time. Being bound to the boat made her restless and about to throw something against the walls out of shear frustration of not being able to walk past the confines of the ship's deck and main rooms. Though, she had to admit, she did like watching the water at the front of the ship as it moved easily through the water. She even had to laugh when some of the marine life decided to join the boat in a sort of race.
Though there was fog when they arrived, Avani was so glad to have the freedom of being able to go farther than any boundaries of water and being wingless. Avani looked at Nix, who was in her lap, and she could see the little fea relax too. It seemed the little one shared her discomfort of not being able to fly or swim freely off the ship.
She wished she had her wings, but she would have to earn them just like everyone else.
The port, despite the fog was very interesting. She didn't know what she had expected, but there being a whole bunch of people of other races was not it! Being sheltered in the rural expanses of Serina, she had never met any other race in her life, but had read about them. Because of this, she was more interested in their culture rather than passing judgement on them like so many of her school friends. But the city was strange in and of itself that it warred with her curiosity about seeing another person of a different race with wanting to get off the wagon and go looking around. There seemed to be different, yet pleasant smells coming from it as well. She hoped it was food, cause she would love to eat something different too!
She was so busy trying to see around her she nearly missed Kadryn's comments about how far her farm was from the port. Two days wasn't bad. She handed the reins of the wagon to Kadryn though, mostly because of the fog and foreignness of the land. She wouldn't know what to do if the hastars balked.
"One day of travel isn't bad!" Avani said smiling. She wished she could poke around the port more, but she forced herself to remember she wasn't here to explore and was here to earn her two dragon orbs.
"I hope the fog lifts though! I wanna see everything on our trip! Is it always foggy like this? I thought it was always windy here."
