MissKitty's eyes widened, her face cringing at the sound of his body hitting the floor. Holy s**t. What just happened?
She couldn't really say she knew how to feel about his answers. Maybe it would've been best to keep her curiosity locked up in the titanium cage it still often managed to bust out of.
"You're a strange one." She sighed, sitting back up to take a big swig of her second mead. He had been so... So vague about his impression of her.
Who could really blame him, though?
"Ever wonder what made this 'Riyo' person so reserved?" MissKitty attempted to remain aloof in this discussion, hoping that her questions sounded like something the majority would ask.
Then came the noise.
MissKitty had to relinquish her mead for a moment while the cheshire cat avatar made that... Horrid noise. She wondered if someone else had come face to face with the jabberwock as well.

"I do wonder, many a time. But I am not sure she would answer if I asked..." He sort of shrugged and stayed on the floor for the next few moments. Nyantics never worked on the aspects and thoughts of physical beauty. Auntie had taught him that such things were fleeting anyhow.
When someone new entered and whined he sort of twisted himself around to be on his stomach so he could see better. Nyantics tilted his head, "Ah! Hello. Maybe we can help?"
What a nice distraction from awkward thoughts.

"Oh!" The banshee turned game character shrieked, a smile widening on her digital features. "H-hi! I was just... b-because I was... but then I didn't and I...."
"Uh..."
Her smile froze as if uncertain what to make of it next.
"Hi? Hi... Hello! I am just... I do not know what I am doing. I should not have watched so many Soaps last night..."

MissKitty glanced down into her glass after the shrieking had subsided and sighed. "Well. Never know until you ask." And that was all she would say on that matter. It was almost like she really wasn't Riyo now. Yes. Maybe she could just play the roll of a confident, slightly friendly female avatar for the rest of her days.
"... Uh?" Her thoughts turned to this... Newcomer, who was all but coherent.
MissKitty puzzled over her words.
"S-soaps? You mean you watched a bar of soap last night?"
Obviously she didn't watch ScreeV.

"I shall make it a point to ask and hope she answers," He replied quietly. Nyantics briefly wondered why she was so interested in only one of his friends, but shrugged it off for now.
When the newcomer spoke more there was little doubt in his mind as to who that was that had joined them, "...Siobhan?" He got up to his feet now with a bit of a mystified expression.
Of all the things in the world.
"..I think she means the soap operas?" He dusted himself off. Nyantics didn't watch much in terms of screeV either, but he was very vaguely aware because his Auntie watched what she termed as 'her stories'.

"You.. do not know of Soaps?" She grinned since the familiar other corrected her. "Yes! Soap Operas! They are tales of drama and woe and romance and greed! Tales of treachery and deceit! Every episode is a new and powerful twist!" She sighed dreamily, cupping her cheeks.
SoapsLuvver17 felt her heart pitter patter as someone recognized her. "You know my true name!" She scuttled forward, regarding the two with a smile. "I am not alone!"

MissKitty was awestruck. "Wow. Now this is a real 'speak of the devil' scenario..." Though, this girl seemed to be much less of a devil and much more of a screeching bat out of hell. Well, they came from the same place so close enough, she supposed.
"I uh... I still don't understand what you mean by soap operas." Until SoapsLuvver17 attempted to explain them. "Like... A romance novel?" MissKitty scratched her head. "I've read a lot of those." Which she felt comfortable admitting since she was basically anonymous. Hey, this was kinda cool. Guilt free confessionals. "Well, don't let me get in the way, better catch up you two."
While she got better acquainted with the booze in this place.

"It's me, Akubi!" He explained to the one he identified as Siobhan and then he fell silent for a second or two as he let the ghoul define what soap operas were.
He was staring at MissKitty, "So. What is your name?" He was going to stare at her intently until she fessed up a name of some sort.
It felt unfair that she knew who he was and not the other way around. He did at least open up his arms to Ms. Soap for a hug as he was scrutinizing the other female.

"AKUBI!!!!!!!!" An ear piercing shriek ripped through the room as she leapt into her good friend's arms. She squeezed him mercilessly, nuzzling her face into his chest. "I was so confused and scared and I didn't know where I was---"
Her face beamed as she forgot about all that, turning her face to Misskitty. "Are you from school too?!"

Just as the sweet elixir was about to meet her lips, Akubi posed his question. She froze, returning the mug to the table. MissKItty opened her mouth to speak, with no idea what she'd really say when...
"HOLY s**t." MissKitty's hands reached up to cover her ears, shooting SoapsLuvver17 a dirty look, but quickly recoiled. She had become the third wheel here. It wasn't really her place to start showing her teeth.
"Yeah, I am." Might as well admit that one. "My name is..." She couldn't spend a lot of time thinking about it, or else it would sound fake. "Felis. My name is Felis." Which wasn't a lie.
It was her last name.

He'd almost been prepared for his friend's loud screech of joy. It was something that he just knew would happen and even accepted it, he squeezed her in the hug fondly with a wide grin on his face. It was obvious that they had a bond of some kind.
When MsKitty gave up her name he sort of squinted a bit, "I don't remember a Felis around school.."
It was almost as if he suddenly had a riddle in his paws and he wanted to figure it out. Nyantics also took to lightly tweaking one of the cat ears on Soap's head, "You are now a honorary cat, how does it feel?" He said to her teasingly.

"Honorary!" She squealed, "It feels uh... I am like Akubi now! We are like siblings now!" She giggled some more, wiggling in place. She had found a safe haven here with a familiar name. She intended to leech as much of it as she could. Safe and sound.
"Felis?" She frowned. She did not know a Felis. The ghoul's arms ket wrapped tightly around Akubi's waist, hesitant to let go. Unwilling to let go.
"I am from school too! And so is Akubi! But I do not much attend classes. I am always afraid and hide in my room while I watch Soaps and read magazines! It is shameful I know.
"AAAAH!!! We should.. could.. maybe... h-hang out! A-after we escape... this place? I uh..... I don't even know where or why or... or uh...."

"Says the guy who could only name two friends." MissKitty immediately shot back, raising an eyebrow at his skepticism. For all of her flaws, she was a decent actor in real life when she put her mind to it. Back in the day, it aided in manipulating business aficionados and unsatisfied clients.
More screeching. If she had been hung over, MissKitty would've almost certainly thrown up her meow mix by now. As it stood, she wasn't even tipsy yet. A blessing and a curse.
The gryphon sighed and rubbed her temples, suddenly wishing she hadn't walked into the tavern for more reasons than one. "Goodie goodie." She tried to feign excitement as she hid her disapproving frown behind her mug. "I suppose there are worse things one could do with their time." She struggled to say nicer things, though it was hard to think of anything with all the ringing in her ears.
"Hang out, huh?" Better a noncommittal response then a negative one, she thought.

"I've always wanted a sibling," Nyantics observed as he reached up and fussed at Soap's hair for a moment or two. It was likely a side of Nyantics not many saw - the fussing and doting side of him when he was with someone he cared about.
He just stared over at MsKitty for a long moment, "There have been times where Riyo acts as you do. Perhaps you two would make good friends," he said pointedly with a flat tone. Nyantics was never one to accept the bullshit of others. "I am trying to be kind to you, and you repay me with harshness. You can't still be hanging onto your gripe with me from earlier."
"I'm always glad to hang out with you Siobhan~," His tone turned more cheerful again at that point.

She loved the fussing. It was something she only got from a select few. However, she could not ignore the heavy air she felt from the other player. SoapsLuvver17's self esteem crumbled as it always did, eyes widening in realization.
"I have interrupted something, have I not? Oh dear.. oh my..." The cheshire scuttled backward, tucking her fringe behind her ears. "I was much too presumptuous! Oh my...." An irritating screeching noise radiated inside her throat. Like a buzzing in one's ears.
"Ah-- Ak---...or um... Nyantics? I know of your name here now, and can call you when I need you, yes?" She smiled some, fidgeting more and more. "I should explore more of Wonderland. Yes. That is our purpose here, yes? I will do my best, friend!"
The little one giggled, and scuttled out the door.
She peeked back in for a moment with a frown.
"Felis the MissKitty... careful you do not give yourself an aching tummy."
She fled again.
