Bruten was quiet for a long moment. If he had gotten an answer, be it truth or lie, he would have answered the pink lion's question. He cared not for the welfare of those deemed beneath him, and he had little doubt that a pink outlander female fell under that mental label.
The lion did not answer him, and the answer that he received was actually less than subpar.
"I have given you many answers, muukalainen. More answers than I would usually answer. It is you who cannot answer one question of mine."
Bruten shrugged and glanced over his shoulder before lazily turning his attention back to the other male.
"Next time you dare stray too close to these lands, beware. I will not be so friendly should I happen across you again."

Pink eyes narrowed. So, that was the way of it? He had been perfectly friendly and charming, and that was not the way to gain the trust of this lion. A mistake, Facio recognized in hindsight. The question was whether he should attempt to salvage the situation or not.
Not. He could certainly learn of his prey some other way, perhaps some other place. So the pink male did something he hadn't done in years. He let his mask slip, allowing his disdain for his prey and his conversational partner show. A nasty glint crept into his eyes and his smile twisted.
"So be it. I will be off, and shall surely find my prey elsewhere," he told the darker lion, turning away from the Stormborn lands. "But before I go, I have a curse for you."
"May she find you first."
With that, he continued on his journey, away from the dark male. And, hopefully, ever closer towards the one he sought.
