In fact, it was quite possible it could end up happening entirely impromptu -- such sorts of things happened fairly regularly.

Lucina returned the bow with an awkward curtsy. "I see, Its a shame I missed them. I'm sure I'll get used to the timing of events soon." She took the water and took a nice long drink from it. "As far as the picnic... Perhaps a potluck?" While in thought, she took another drink. "Many of our guest are rather talented. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few gifted in the culinary field." If not... maybe a casual catering?
