Making a small noise, Lance just nuzzled Alistair's hair affectionately. "I am really sorry for making you worry.." Then he turned Alistair's head, just enough so the blonde could kiss it, and the brunette could still see what he was doing. "Tell me the truth Ali.. I can take it."

Alistair exhaled. "It doesn't usually bother me, really it doesn't," he said, "and it's not that I don't trust you." He would literally trust Lance with his life, and he certainly trusted him not to be unfaithful. "But sometimes I feel like I'm holding you back, and that maybe there's someone better out there for you, who is...your equal, instead of someone you always have to keep safe."

"Mhm..." Then he gently pulled Ali's hand from the handle of the pan, and corralled him a few feet to the side. He hefted Ali up and onto the counter, careful that the brunette's pajamas didn't get too close to the stove. "I would never cheat on you. Ever." The blonde leaned his head against Ali's chest, one hand wrapping around his waist to hold him close. "You're not holding me back.. I often wonder if I'm holding you back. From someone who will actually flirt back with you and not die from a red face."

"You could never hold me back," Alistair protested. "I don't want someone else, I want you, and I promise that I really do trust you not to cheat on me." Unless something was even more wrong in their relationship than he realized, of course. "I just...sometimes I wonder if you want to be with me at all. Especially when I touch you and you get uncomfortable..."

"I know.." He said as he rubbed Alistair's back as the brunette curled around him. "Of course I want to be with you.. And I'm sorry I get that way..." They had been a team for almost two years. And while they had been dating for a few months, some habits were just hard to break. He gave the pan a small shake, before turning his head and giving Alistair's chest a kiss. "I know I'm shy, and don't always respond the best way, but I really do love it."

"I just want you to be happy," Alistair said, arms sliding around Lance and holding him close. "I love you, so much," he said, nuzzling his face against his boyfriend's head, "but that doesn't mean I want you to stay if you're uncomfortable or unhappy or...anything like that." Still, Lance wouldn't go out of his way to reassure him if he didn't mean it, right? "I just need to remember that you getting shy doesn't...mean you don't want me, it just means you're not comfortable right then, and...that's fine, really, your comfort comes before my libido."

"I am happy. Incredibly so." Lance flicked the stove off and wrapped his other arm around Alistair's waste, pulling him towards the edge of the counter. "If I was truly uncomfortable, I would tell you, and you know I would." Then he laughed lightly. "No, my shyness does not mean I don't want you. If anything I want you because I can get so shy. And I don't know, your comfort should come into play too..."

"I'm not too worried about my comfort," Alistair coughed, redness creeping into his face. "I just...I don't ever want to push you into something you don't want." He slid off the counter, smirking a little. "But, you know, if you made it good and clear that you were comfortable..."

"Well that's a bold faced lie if I've ever heard one." Lance grinned up at Alistair as he squeezed the mans waist. "I'd tell you if I didn't think I was ready, besides.. you always ask if I'm comfortable with something." Then with out so much as a word, he hoisted Alistair back up, this time opting to carry him. "I know you just made breakfast and all, but I vote we go back to bed. We can go cuddle, and maybe we can get some decent sleep since we both look like hell ran us over."
