Really? Again? Man did they ever have s**t luck.....they kept running into all the bad weather....he had to wonder if Kei was finding the same....as if. Knowing her she was probably finding adventure and danger. They'd get back to their hive and she would once again tell him about how great her adventure had been....while Zariah had spent the entirety of theirs hiding under umbrellas and blankets from sand and rain. Urrrrrgh! Couldn't they find SOMETHING exciting? Sure they found the cute gerbils....and the stupid hopbeast.....actually....Zari didn't want to think of the bloodstain on Lunear's boot....it made him a little queasy.
This time Zariah didn't even bother hiding as close to Vremea as possible, instead shielding his face with his own arms and ducking into some rocks that would at least protect them from the sand until everything blew over. Maybe next time they could find something....

REFRESHING REST POST
Everyone in your group is well rested. Your group recovers three stamina, to a maximum of five! Your group recovers 13 hp, if you were previously at zero!
Not weeks after Bloodfest, a familiar snowfall begins to accumulate on the ground, and then rapidly accelerates into a snowstorm. Between the snow, sand and a rapidly changing WACKY sky, it’s nearly impossible to keep track of up and down, let alone a white lusus in a snowstorm. This weather effect will remain in play until a 1, 3, or 5 are rolled on a D6.

The group decides to take refuge in a cave far in the distance. Taking the trip was well worth it, and even though you’ve lost some time in the night, the cool air is really quite refreshing. The group can choose to spend some time bonding in the cave. Hanging out in the cave for 3 posts will result in everyone in the group regaining 1 stamina!
Uh oh. The ground rumbles suddenly. Not again! Sure enough, after a moment the rough shaking of the ground resumes with surprising force. It’s an earthquake! This weather effect will remain in play until a 2, 3, 4, or 5 are rolled on a D6.
2,2
You find a peculiar desert creature snuffling around in the sand! The poor little guy seems pretty bewildered by all of this weather stuff, so you decide to give it a warm pocket to cling onto. Your group has adopted the multi-limbed gerbil! After the meta, each member of the group can bring their own special friend home.
Something glinting over a bluff catches your eye. A burrow in the side of the dune yields a bounty of shining golden beetles! And as they say, lucky beetles mean good fortune (and megabux$$$). Each member of the group has acquired 1 lucky beetle that can be redeemed at the end of the meta for a variety of rewards. You cannot carry any more than 5 lucky beetles total; if you run into this encounter more than 5 times, you cannot collect any more.
3,1
Out of the storm emerges a very disgruntled wet bedraggled desert sandcrawlinglizardbeast! It has no intention of humoring more desert interlopers. Or maybe it's gotten confused and thinks its a tornado. The sandcrawlinglizardbeast has 10 HP. The group takes 3 damage each post it hasn't been defeated yet.
What’s this? A piece of the WACKY? A part of a ship? A discarded Greasy-Bake Condescension Oven? Whatever it is, it’s pretty beaten up, but the tech looks significant. You decide to pick it up just in case. Your group has acquired a pile of charred technology! Each troll in the group gets one, and is recommended to hang onto it, you never know what it will be useful for.... You cannot carry more than one charred technology.
3,4
The feeling of another oncoming WACKY weather system prickles your skin. With a feeling of dread, you brace yourself for the effects of… A soothing, balmy breeze. Aaah… This weather effect will remain in play until the next dice are rolled.
Plop. Plop. Something drops from the sky, landing over the hill. Another flops into the sand nearby, making an unpleasant squelching noise. Plop—splat. At your feet, the grey, gooey eye of a fish stares back up at you. Plop. A mackerel. Plop-plop. A few sardines. Plop plop plop plopplopploploplopopop—FISH RAIN! This weather effect will remain in play until another weather effect is rolled. Players may roll 2d4 for their regular item, location and lusus encounters, but will be plagued with a constant fishy invasion until then.

As his hate for the desert intensified with each step, the rest, as blessed as it might have been, was small and short. The night returned, as with it, so did Batbro.
Who had arrived with gerbils. Looking at his lusus, then at the gerbils who seemed confused to the fact that they were now being deposited at the feet of trolls, Lunear just sighed and put another in his pocket.
"I am not eating them."
Batbro screeched and flew away. Her ward was so unappreciative of her efforts to take care of him.

After having taken shelter with the kids-- talking to them, generally having a pleasant time, she almost shrieked at the bat that had arrived. With more gerbils. She exhaled in relief when she saw it was Lunear's lusus-- but her eyes widened when he said he wasn't eating them. "W-what!?" She stumbled over her words-- "Who would even EAT such an adorable creature!?" She mumbled to herself, confused. She still didn't get through her head how trolls could eat meat like that. It was disgusting and frankly, Vremea didn't like harming the poor animals in that way...
And then it was night again and they were off.
~TRAVEL TRAVEL TRAVEL~
"Oh my god." If Vremea could curse, she would. Holy crap, what the heck was that... a sandcrawlinglizardbeast? She didn't even know where that word came from... "We need to take it down. Or at least convince it to not attack..." Judging by the way it was moving toward them aggressively, Vremea begrudgingly settled on the latter. It was dangerous...

Mili was in agreeance that eating the gerbils was a no-no. She carefully scooped up the second one when Lune wasn't looking and held it to her chest. Perfect companion.
Well it was a perfect compaion, but that didn't make it a lucky one. The drone of the lusus wings caught her ears first and then it came towards them. While Vremmy said to convince it, Mili was fairly certain that it wasn't going to stop with happy gestures and an offering of a multi-limbed gerbil.
Despositing the geribl into her bloomers (there was a pocket there somewhere), the mute troll grabbed her net and threw it at the Lusus as it sped by. Unfortunatly she didn't move fast enough and the lusus' talons ripped into her arm. Wincing, Mili lost the net, but it did seem to slow down the flying beast a bit.

Vremea freaked when she saw Mili get hit injured. Oh heck no. Vremea was NOT standing for this! She quickly grabbed her retractable scythe, flicking it out to it's full length(while still keeping the blade sheathed) and ran on the sand-- something normal for her, as she lived in Chittentown -- aiming to attack the sandcrawlinglizardbeast on one wing. Although that left her open to one hit, this brought about a feeling of accomplishment in the yellowblood. She had to protect these kids-- had to take charge!
And she missed. Ugggh! Way to make a first impression.

She quickly recovered from the hit, aiming and trying for one more hit at the damned thing. Again, she missed, proving herself even more pathetic than she already was. Vremea felt extremely stupid now-- why couldn't she fight better??

She groaned, getting hit again-- why was she so horrible at defending and fighting??? Again, Vremea moved to hit it, starting to feel a bit tired-- and because of that, she managed to give it a small pat on the head! She growled-- she wanted to hit it again, HARDER. It didn't need to slash at Mili. Grr.

Again, Vremea aimed, running toward it and swatting at it. With a perfect but normal hit, Vremea slammed it straight on the head, fierce look in her eyes. Here it was! A better hit. FINALLY.

Again the yellowblood aimed, deep frown on her face. She was getting SICK of it! Hurting her consecutively, each time she hurt it! Another one, smack dab in the middle of its head, just a bit harder now. A tad bit of pride slid into her. She was finally achieving something!!

A sudden urge slid out of her, and Vremea flung the blade of her retractable scythe. In one swift movement, the girl instantly chopped the thing in two as it flew to attack her. When she was sure the thing was dead, the girl, wide eyed, moved over to the others. "Milieu, are you alright?"She asked, worried about the girl she knew who had gotten cut-- then she looked over to the other two kids. "Do the both of you find yourselves in good health?" She asked, breathing heavily. They needed to take a break to check the wounds-- and then continue in their quest. Find some shelter, or something...

Mili watched in awe as Vremmy continued to hack and attack the monster. It was amazing, even if there were some misses. Vremea was so strong! She kept at it even as her health dwindled. When the lusus was finally dead, Milieu jumped for joy. Literally. Bouncing up and down, the girl flung her arms in the air and spun around as Owl mom hooted her approval.
Running over to Vremea, she gave her a tight hug before stepping back, an uncharacteristic smile on her face. Grabbing her white board, she bit the cap off and started to write quickly | CONGRATS! You did so good. You did soooo goood!!! |

Lunear sighed and gave a shrug. "Batbro is just looking out for me. I think. maybe. Or maybe they thought the other needed a freind. I try to understand him buttttt." The blue blood shrugged, looking to where his lusus had flown off to.
Jerk, leaving him to fend for himself. Or rather, to hover mother from afar and let him feel like he was in charge and didn't need her help.
Of course one lusus attracted another, and this one seemed happy to attack her person. "WHY DO THEY AIM FOR ME?" He hissed louder this time, wanting to have his own weapon just so he'd be able to kill. "FIRST THE HOPBEAST NOW THAT, THAT THING! AND GERBILS!" His gerbils squeaked from his pockets.
"AND YOU! YELLOW BLOOD! THAT WAS-"
He screeched as another lusus came from the sand and started to attack his non violated boot.
Now both would be ruined, if in different ways. "GETITOFFOFMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

Vremea felt an extreme feeling of pride seep into her body as Mili gave her legs a big hug. Vremea was so happy, accomplished! ....and then she felt angry. She wanted to SMACK the blueblood right then and there. He needed to stop getting so carried away! "Lune, please calm down." She said, not wanting to attract attention... but then, within seconds, another lusus-- EXACTLY THE SAME as the one she spent so long trying to kill, attacked them.
Vremea felt faint. They were going to die, oh god, they were going to die... She growled. No they weren't. Not right now. Not like this. So she kept her scythe out and kept on, wiping the sweat off her forehead, waving it around, trying to get its attention away from the kids again-- not hurting it.
