The flowers were almost distracting from the goal at hand. NotAllan could've easily just sat down underneath the shade of one and relaxed for the rest of the day. It was actually a good thing Nightbloom was there to keep her on track.

"Oh! Shoot yeah," she said, grabbing her own mushroom as they waddled across the lilypads. "Seems kind of pointless to make ourselves small just to walk the same distance ..." She commented. But hey, who was she to judge the game.

After returning to her normal height, NotAllan smiled and crossed the terrain with her friend Nightbloom. A treasure chest was in sight and she gestured for Nightbloom to follow. "Oh ******** yeah. Thanks for helping Nightbloom. Can I add you to my friend list?"

There were a lot of mushrooms. That was the first thing he noticed about this area. But secret treasure, yes, he was all for this.

He grabbed a small and a medium mushroom. This would do, right?

It looked like he needed to be normal again. And he suspected his other mushroom might, just might make him normal again. He took a bite of the medium mushroom and grew. Yep, normal game dynamics applied in this game.

Her journeying had somehow taken her to a groove of lily pads, where a voice whispered to her to find the exit amongst them. The ghoul looked around her and then back at the lily pads quizzically, wondering where the exit could be. It certainly wasn't visible...

Looking around, she noticed a patch of curious looking mushrooms labelled "EAT ME, but only two". She hazarded a guess that if the exit was amongst the tiny plants, a small mushroom might just do the trick. A medium sized one was taken for good measure - she'd want to return to her normal height after this...

The voice in his head chortles as a pretty layover graphic announces they've entered 'The Flower Garden'. This is what Dreadpirate gets for paying more attention to reshuffling the cards in his inventory than to his destination. He looks around the area and shrugs. One sidequest is the same as another in any MMO game, especially at early levels. Flowers, mushrooms, trees... why not?

He was reading through the information about secret entrances and mushrooms (but they were so tiny!) when a voice called out. "Hey, yo!"

The speaker was a female Gryphon, also in the default outfit. Normally he wouldn't think it good strategy for two all-out attackers to join forces without a healer or defender along, but this didn't sound like a sidequest that included battles.

"Who, me?" Dreadpirate asks, peering at the girl from under his hat. Her level was one above his. This mustn't be the first sidequest she's undertaken. He walked over. "Seems like you've been pretty busy already."

RazerHead, read the display above her head. She didn't look like anyone he knew, but wondered that if being another 'player' of the game meant she was a Hunter. It would be just like their leaders to spring strategy games on them in their sleep.

He eyes the garden. "I'm not sure what this secret entrance is meant to be, but two sets of eyes must be better than one."

~Just two eyes,~ the voice points out, smug.

Dreadpirate pauses and thinks a very large, loud question mark at his companion slash tormentor.

~You're both wearing eyepatches. That's only two good eyes between you. Just think, you traded a missing limb for a missing eye! Is this what they call irony, do you think? Or just fate?~

He shoves the gleeful voice as far out of his head as he can. To RazorHead, he asks, "Feel like not going it alone?"

It didn't feel like they were in any danger, but this was still new. It wouldn't hurt to watch each others' backs, just in case.

"Yyyyyyep," RazerHead nodded before tapping him on the chest for emphasis. "It's been mostly looking at s**t though, figured looking for treasure would be more exciting than those trees." She didn't mind that he was one level lower than her, leveling up didn't really seem to mean much right now. Plus, that thing with the lake left feeling her a little not-very-cool. she grinned. "Ah, so, I'm guessing these ain't the lilypads we're looking for?" she chuckled, gesturing towards the aforementioned plant life. Good job, Raze, wonder if anyone will catch the reference?

Oh good, he doesn't think I'm a complete dork, Raze mentally sighed in relief. Unaware of any other conversation apart from the party chat, Raze was just glad she wasn't going to be grinding all by herself. < TO PARTY: Think these shrooms'll be trippy? > her expression was wry, but some sort of hesitance was there. Sure she was willing to try anything once but she didn't like things messing with the way she saw and felt things.

But this was all just a game, right? Any distortions is just pixels on a screen, right? Right.

"If we have to take two, I'll pick one you pick the other? Sound fair?" Before waiting for his response, Raze snatched at the cap that would make them big.
